The studies of superconductivity, dual superconductivity and color superconductivity have been undertaken through the breaking of supersymmetric gauge theories which automatically incorporate the condensation of monopoles and dyons leading to confining and superconducting phases. Constructing the total effective Lagrangian of N=2 SU(2) gauge theory with N f =2 quark multiplets and quark chemical potential at classical and quantum levels, it has been demonstrated that baryon number symmetry is spontaneously broken as a consequence of the SU(2) strong gauge dynamics and the color superconductivity dynamically takes space at the non-SUSY vacuum.  相似文献

Summary A silica gel column impregnated with bis-(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)dithiophosphinic acid has been studied for the uptake of Ti(IV). Its chemical stability has been examined and its regeneration power checked. The stoichiometry of the extracted species is proposed and the loading capacity of the column material for Ti(IV) assessed. Some important binary separations of Ti(IV) from commonly associated metal ions have been achieved and the column has been used to recover high-purity titanium from red mud, a secondary sector material.  相似文献

We study the extended structure of non-Abelian dyons, the generalized electromagnetic field and the resulting residual angular momentum in the interior as well as exterior regions of the dyon, and it has been demonstrated that at the dyonic centre there exists no well-defined U(1) charge symmetry and the density of residual angular momentum becomes infinity. The mechanism of creation of a fermionic pair at the dyonic core involving the extremely high density of residual angular momentum has been developed, which leads to baryon-number nonconservation in the presence of non-Abelian dyons. The fermion-number–breaking amplitudes in the presence of a non-Abelian dyon have been analyzed and are not suppressed by exp(– const/e 2). Further, the relevant properties of left-handed fermions in a non-Abelian field has been summarized and the zeroth-order approximation is described. Within this approximation the density of the fermion-number–breaking condensate is found to be O(1), i.e. to be independent of the coupling constant and of the vacuum expectation value of the Higgs field.  相似文献

A simple, sensitive and specific liquid chromatographic method with UV detection (228 nm) was developed for the simultaneous estimation of rosiglitazone and glimepride in human plasma. Rosiglitazone and glimepride were extracted from plasma using liquid–liquid extraction. Separation was achieved with an RP C18 Column using a mixture of phosphate buffer (50 mM) with octane sulfonic acid (10 mM), methanol and acetonitrile as a mobile phase (55:10:35, v/v). pH was adjusted to 7.0. Amlodipine was used as an internal standard (IS). LOD of the method was found to be 20 ng mL?1 for both drugs. Results were linear over the studied range 40.994–2007.556 ng mL?1 for rosiglitazone (r ≥ 0.99) and 41.066–2094.84 ng mL?1 for glimepride( r ≥ 0.99). The method was found to be simple, selective, precise and reproducible for the estimation of both drugs from spiked human plasma.  相似文献

Since considerable intrigue has been focused on azetidinone (β-lactam) compounds for their wide range antimicrobial activity, the present study focuses on the synthesis of new series of azetidinone compounds. The reaction between the novel azomethine and α-haloester in the presence of Zn impetus and benzene resulted into the formation of desired azetidinone derivative by [2+2] cycloaddition involving imine–ketene. The reaction has also been studied in the presence of diverse Lewis acids such as Zn(OTf)2, ZnCl2, Cu(OTf)2, TiCl4, and BF3.Et2O. The effect of such Lewis acids also enhance the yield of the desired product. Moreover, the structure of the isolated products was also affirmed by spectral analysis (Fourier-transform infrared [FT-IR] spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance [1H NMR], carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance [13C NMR], and high-resolution mass spectrometry [HRMS]). Furthermore, the antibacterial activity of synthesized compounds has been screened in vitro against different pathogenic bacterial and fungus species. Inspection of the results uncovered that all of the newly synthesized compounds individually display varying degrees of inhibitory impacts on the development of the tested bacterial species, thus, they might be considered as medication possibility for bacterial pathogens. The azomethine exhibited an expansive range of antibacterial activity against Gram-negative Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Acinetobacter baumannii and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus bacterial strains and antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, and Candida parapsilosis bacterial strain. The result demonstrated that the β-lactam subordinates have good antibacterial and antifungal activities on microscopic organisms.  相似文献

In this paper, a radially polarised cosh-Gaussian laser beam(CGLB) is used to study the electron acceleration produced in vacuum. A highly energetic electron beam can be achieved by a CGLB,even with comparatively low-powered lasers. The properties of a CGLB cause it to focus earlier,over a shorter duration than a Gaussian laser beam, which makes it suitable for obtaining high energies over small durations. It is found that the energy gained by the electrons strongly depends upon the decentering parameter of the laser profile. It is also observed that for a fixed value of energy gain, if the decentering parameter is increased, then the intensity of the laser field decreases. The dependence of the energy gained by electrons on the laser intensity and the laserspot size is also studied.  相似文献

Micellization behavior of the twin-tailed surfactants can be modulated by the addition of various modifiers. Ionic liquids (ILs) are one of them and are documented here. The beauty of these environmentally benign neoteric molecules lies in their structural versatility. Here, we have investigated the effect of three ILs: 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([C4mim][Br]), 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([C6mim][Br]), and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([C8mim][Br]) on the aggregation and surface adsorption behavior of cationic gemini surfactant, bis(hexadecyldimethyl ammonium)propane dibromide (16-3-16) through experimentally measured electrical conductivities, surface tensions, and by spectral methods (UV-vis absorbance and fluorescence measurements). The main focus of the study is to observe the effect of added ILs on the critical micelle concentration (cmc), various surface parameters, aggregation number, and size of the aggregates of gemini surfactant. The results show that the more hydrophobic ILs, that is, [C6mim][Br] and [C8mim][Br] behave as electrolyte at lower concentration and cosurfactant at higher concentration, whereas moderately hydrophobic IL [C4mim][Br] acts as an electrolyte at all concentration ranges studied. The modulating effects of ILs were also compared with conventional electrolyte (NaBr) at similar conditions.  相似文献
