The CLEO experiment at the CESR collider has used 13.7 fb(-1) of data to search for the production of the Omega(0)(c) (css ground state) in e(+)e(-) collisions at square root of (s) approximately 10.6 GeV. The modes used to study the Omega(0)(c) are Omega(-)pi(+), Omega(-)pi(+)pi(0), Xi-K-pi(+)pi(+), Xi0K-pi(+), and Omega(-)pi(+)pi(+)pi(-). We observe a signal of 40.4+/-9.0(stat) events at a mass of 2694.6+/-2.6(stat)+/-1.9(syst) MeV/c(2), for all modes combined.  相似文献

In this article, we present the results of a qualitative research project on the effect of motion analysis activities in a Video-Based Laboratory (VBL) on students’ understanding of position, velocity and frames of reference. The participants in our research were 48 pre-service teachers enrolled in Education Departments with no previous strong science or mathematics background. VBLs are presented in the context of a category of technology tools that allow the analysis of motion events for educational purposes followed by a review of literature regarding the use of VBL in science education. The qualitative methodology that we undertook is presented and justified and the results of our study are stated, escorted by selected and detailed dialogue extracts from our interviews with the participating students. The outcomes of our research are discussed and found to be positive and some implications for further research are stated.  相似文献

We propose an image restoration method. The method generalizes image restoration algorithms that are based on the Moore–Penrose solution of certain matrix equations that define the linear motion blur. Our approach is based on the usage of least squares solutions of these matrix equations, wherein an arbitrary matrix of appropriate dimensions is included besides the Moore–Penrose inverse. In addition, the method is a useful tool for improving results obtained by other image restoration methods. Toward that direction, we investigate the case where the arbitrary matrix is replaced by the matrix obtained by the Haar basis reconstructed image. The method has been tested by reconstructing an image after the removal of blur caused by the uniform linear motion and filtering the noise that is corrupted with the image pixels. The quality of the restoration is observable by a human eye. Benefits of using the method are illustrated by the values of the improvement in signal‐to‐noise ratio and in the values of peak signal‐to‐noise ratio.
