We study CP asymmetries in rare B decays within supersymmetry with a U(2)3 flavour symmetry, motivated by the SUSY flavour and CP problems, the hierarchies in the Yukawa couplings and the absence so far of any direct evidence for SUSY. Even in the absence of flavour-blind phases, we find potentially sizable CP violating contributions to bs decay amplitudes. The effects in the mixing-induced CP asymmetries in BϕK S and BηK S , angular CP asymmetries in BK μ + μ and the direct CP asymmetry in BX s γ can be in the region to be probed by LHCb and next generation B factories. At the same time, these effects in B decays are compatible with CP violating contributions to meson mixing, including a non-standard B s mixing phase hinted by current tensions in the CKM fit mostly between SyKS, eKS_{\psi K_{S}}, \epsilon_{K} and DMBs/DMBd\Delta M_{B_{s}}/\Delta M_{B_{d}}.  相似文献

We investigate the photothermal conversion and transformation of gold nanoparticles with an initial dogbone shape after dispersion in hydrated chitosan films, which is a representative model of biological tissue, and excitation by a CW diode laser for 1 min. Gold nanodogbones are observed to undergo a distinct modification above a sharp threshold of ~11 W cm−2 and 110 °C. Surprisingly, the very same modification is achieved up to at least 36 W cm−2 and 250 °C. We use an analytical model derived from Gans theory to associate the change in color of the films with the change in shape statistics of these gold nanoparticles. This model proves both convenient and dependable. We interpret the photothermal transformation as a rearrangement of particles with a dogbone shape and an aspect ratio of 4.1 into rods with an aspect ratio of 2.5, where material from the end lobes of the dogbones may relocate to the waists of the rods. In turn, additional transitions to stable gold nanospheres may exhibit fairly slower kinetics.  相似文献

Three-field simulations of interchange turbulence are presented for a simple magnetized toroidal plasma with a vertical magnetic field. The simulations show the presence of two turbulent regimes characterized by low (L) and high (H) confinement properties. We evaluate analytically the properties of the L regime, obtaining expressions for the plasma gradients and for the density and heat fluxes that agree well with the simulations. By increasing the plasma source strength or reducing the vertical magnetic field, a transition to a H regime occurs, in which a strong velocity shear limits the perpendicular transport with respect to the L scaling and the plasma profiles steepen. The analytic estimate of the transition condition is in accord with the simulations.  相似文献

Simulations have previously shown that, for broadband excitation, adjusting the gain of a local velocity feedback loop to maximise their absorbed power also tends to minimise the kinetic energy of the structure under control. This paper describes an experimental implementation of multiple velocity feedback loops on a flat panel, whose gains can be controlled automatically by an algorithm that maximises their local absorbed power. Taking care to remove excessive phase shift in the control loop allows a stable feedback gain that is high enough to experimentally demonstrate the transition in control action between optimum damping and pinning of the structure. A simple search algorithm is then used to adapt the feedback gains of two control loops to maximise their local absorbed powers, thus demonstrating self-tuning. By measuring the power absorbed by each of these loops and also estimation of the kinetic energy of the plate from velocity measurements for a wide range of the two feedback gains, it is shown that not only does the adaptive algorithm converge to a set of feedback gains that maximise total power absorbed by the two feedback loops, but also that this set of feedback gains is very close to those that minimise the measured kinetic energy of the panel.  相似文献

We revisit the Landau-Teller heuristic approach to adiabatic invariants and, following Rapp, use it to investigate the energy exchanges between the different degrees of freedom, in simple Hamiltonian systems describing the collision of fast rotating or vibrating molecules with a fixed wall. We critically compare the theoretical results with particularly accurate numerical computations (quite small energy exchanges, namely of one part over 1030, are measured).  相似文献

We study a system S generating Poisson events, and a corresponding dichotomous signal as well, perturbed by a system P, also generating Poisson events and a corresponding dichotomous signal. The rates of events productions for system and perturbation are gS and gP, respectively. We call S events the events produced by the system S and P events those produced by the perturbation P. We show that this simple model reproduces the essence of recent experimental and theoretical results on aperiodic stochastic resonance. More remarkably, this simplified version of aperiodic stochastic resonance allows us to discover a property that has been overlooked by the earlier research work. The rate matching condition gS=gP is the border between two distinctly different conditions: For gS<gP, the P events are attractors of the S events and for gS>gP they become repellers of the S events. The transition from the former to the latter condition is very marked and takes place in a short region of either gS or gP, depending on which is the parameter changed, thereby resulting in a discontinuous transition.  相似文献
