An explicit perturbative computation of the Mori’s memory function was performed by Götzeand Wölfle (GW) to calculate generalized Drude scattering (GDS) rate for the case ofelectron-impurity and electron-phonon scattering in metals by assuming constant electronicdensity of states at the Fermi energy. In the present investigation, we go beyond thisassumption and extend the GW formalism to the case in which there is a gap around theFermi surface in electron density of states. The resulting GDS is compared with a recentone by Sharapov and Carbotte (SC) obtained through a different route. We find goodagreement between the two at finite frequencies. However, we find discrepancies in the dcscattering rate. These are due to a crucial assumption made in SC namely ω ? | Σ(?+ ω) ? Σ?(?)|. No such high frequency assumption is made in the memory functionbased technique.  相似文献

Maleic acid, present in the effluent from organic intermediate producing industries, is an industrially important raw material. Its use in manufacture of alkyd and polyester resins, surface coatings, lubricant additives, plasticizers, co-polymers and agricultural chemicals, makes it necessary to explore for best possible techniques to recover it from aqueous solutions. The present work investigates the recovery of maleic acid from aqueous solution at ambient temperature. N–Methyl–n, n–dioctyloctan–1–ammonium chloride, (commercially known as Aliquat 336) is used as an extractant with three different diluents, belonging to different chemical classes: an aromatic hydrocarbon, a ketone, and an acetate. The chemical extraction results are reported in the terms of distribution coefficient, degree of extraction, and loading ratios. The results were modeled by mass action equilibria model as well as differential evolution technique. Differential evolution algorithm has been prepared. The model and experimental observations were compared and fairly good agreement was observed.  相似文献

A number of nanosize mordenite (MOR) analogues with particle size ranging from 5 to 50 nm were synthesized by the hydrothermal method. The effect of various growth parameters like: alkalinity of the medium, type of silica source, etc. on crystal morphology and the crystal size of MOR type of zeolites was investigated. Specific surface and micropore volume were investigated by the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method. XRD, SEM, TEM studies indicate nanosize growth of the MOR type crystals. Electron diffraction patterns confirm the crystalline nature of the nanoparticles and the results of their indexing prove that the material is MOR. These synthesized materials show microporous as well mesoporous character. In the case of MOR material synthesized using sodium silicate, it was found that an increase in the alkalinity of the medium led to changes in the morphology and crystal size of the material. For low concentrations of NaOH, the crystallites were spherical in shape whereas at high concentrations, they were in the shape of nanorods of diameter 25 to 50 nm. The morphology of the MOR material synthesized using tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), on the other hand, did not change when the NaOH concentration was increased beyond 2.0 molar.  相似文献

A new, highly efficient, inexpensive, recyclable, mild, convenient, and green protocol for chemoselective aza/thia-Michael addition reactions of amines/thiols to α,β-unsaturated compounds using triethylammonium acetate (TEAA) ionic liquid was developed. A simple, precise, and accurate isocratic reversed-phase (RP) stability-indicating column high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) assay method was developed and validated for determination of nebivolol in solid pharmaceutical dosage forms. Isocratic RP-HPLC separation was achieved on a Phenomenex Luna C8 (2) column (250 mm x 4.6 mm id, 5 microm particle size) using mobile phase composed of acetonitrile-pH 3.5 phosphate buffer (35 + 65, v/v) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, and detection was performed at 280 nm using a photodiode array detector. The drug was subjected to oxidation, hydrolysis, photolysis, and heat to apply stress conditions. The method was validated for specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness, and solution stability. The method was linear in the drug concentration range of 40-160 microg/mL with a correlation coefficient of 0.9999. The repeatability relative standard deviation (RSD) for 6 samples was 0.69%, and the intermediate precision (RSD) for 6 samples was 1.39%. The accuracy (recovery) was between 98.57 and 99.55%. Degradation products produced as a result of stress studies did not interfere with detection of nebivolol, and the assay can thus be considered stability-indicating.  相似文献

Interaction and stability of binary mixtures of cationic surfactants hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HTAB) or hexadecylpyridinium bromide (HPyBr) with nonionic surfactant decanoyl-N-methyl-glucamide (Mega-10) have been studied at different mole fraction of cationic surfactants by using interfacial tension measurements and fluorescence probe techniques. From interfacial tension measurements, the critical micellar concentration and various interfacial thermodynamic parameters have been evaluated. The experimental cmc's were analyzed with the pseudophase separation model, the regular solution theory, and the Maeda's approach. These approaches allowed us to determine the interaction parameter and composition in the mixed state. By using the static quenching method, the mean micellar aggregation numbers of pure and mixed micelles of HTAB + Mega-10 were obtained. It has been observed that the aggregation number of mixed micelles deviates negatively from the ideal behavior. The micropolarity of the micelle was monitored with pyrene fluorescence intensity ratio and found to be increase with the increase of ionic content. The polarization of fluorescence probe Rhodamine B was monitored at different mole fraction of cationic surfactants.  相似文献

We apply the method of multiple scales (MMS) to a well-known model of regenerative cutting vibrations in the large delay regime. By “large” we mean the delay is much larger than the timescale of typical cutting tool oscillations. The MMS up to second order, recently developed for such systems, is applied here to study tool dynamics in the large delay regime. The second order analysis is found to be much more accurate than the first order analysis. Numerical integration of the MMS slow flow is much faster than for the original equation, yet shows excellent accuracy in that plotted solutions of moderate amplitudes are visually near-indistinguishable. The advantages of the present analysis are that infinite dimensional dynamics is retained in the slow flow, while the more usual center manifold reduction gives a planar phase space; lower-dimensional dynamical features, such as Hopf bifurcations and families of periodic solutions, are also captured by the MMS; the strong sensitivity of the slow modulation dynamics to small changes in parameter values, peculiar to such systems with large delays, is seen clearly; and though certain parameters are treated as small (or, reciprocally, large), the analysis is not restricted to infinitesimal distances from the Hopf bifurcation.  相似文献

Self-interrupted regenerative metal cutting in turning   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A new approach is used to study the global dynamics of regenerative metal cutting in turning. The cut surface is modeled using a partial differential equation (PDE) coupled, via boundary conditions, to an ordinary differential equation (ODE) modeling the dynamics of the cutting tool. This approach automatically incorporates the multiple-regenerative effects accompanying self-interrupted cutting. Taylor's 3/4 power law model for the cutting force is adopted. Lower dimensional ODE approximations are obtained for the combined tool-workpiece model using Galerkin projections, and a bifurcation diagram computed. The unstable solution branch off the subcritical Hopf bifurcation meets the stable branch involving self-interrupted dynamics in a turning point bifurcation. The tool displacement at that turning point is estimated, which helps identify cutting parameter ranges where loss of stability leads to much larger self-interrupted motions than in some other ranges. Numerical bounds are also obtained on the parameter values which guarantee global stability of steady-state cutting, i.e., parameter values for which there exist neither unstable periodic motions nor self-interrupted motions about the stable equilibrium.  相似文献

The present paper deals with a weak non-linear stability problem of magneto-convection in an electrically conducting Newtonian fluid, confined between two horizontal surfaces, under a constant vertical magnetic field, and subjected to an imposed time-periodic boundary temperature (ITBT) or gravity modulation (ITGM). In the case of ITBT, the temperature gradient between the walls of the fluid layer consists of a steady part and a time-dependent oscillatory part. The temperature of both walls is modulated in this case. In the problem involving ITGM, the gravity field has two parts: a constant part and an externally imposed time periodic part, which can be realized by oscillating the fluid layer. The disturbance is expanded in terms of power series of amplitude of convection, which is assumed to be small. Using Ginzburg–Landau equation, the effect of modulations on heat transport is analyzed. Effect of various parameters on the heat transport is also discussed.  相似文献
