A green and eco-benign synthesis of biscoumarin derivatives using carbon sulfonic acid, a solid support catalyst has been described. The reaction involved a one-pot two-component reaction of 4-hydroxycoumarin and aldehyde using carbon sulfonic acid involving Knoevenegal-Michael condensation. A series of aromatic (bearing electron withdrawing and releasing group) and heteroaromatic aldehydes has been converted to biscoumarins with excellent isolated yields. The reaction is in compliance with green principles, that is, inexpensive catalyst, easy to prepare, nontoxic, easy handling, reusable up to five recycle runs, easy separation, short reaction time, no need of time consuming column purification, high yielding, and so on. The synthesized catalyst and biscoumarin derivatives were well characterized by spectral analysis. The molecular modeling studies showed that the designed molecular scaffolds (3a-j) showed outstanding interaction with methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) and cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) proteins. It was noticed that 3f (−17.55 kJ/mol) and 3d (−26.23 kJ/mol) showed the highest docking score against CYP3A4 and MTHFR proteins, respectively.  相似文献

Diradicals have been of tremendous interest for over a century ever since the first reports of p- and m-phenylene-bridged diphenylmethylradicals in 1904 by Thiele and 1915 by Schlenk. Reported here are the first examples of cyclic(alkyl)(amino)carbene (CAAC) analogues of Thiele's hydrocarbon, a Kekulé diradical, and Schlenk's hydrocarbon, a non-Kekulé diradical, without using CAAC as a precursor. The CAAC analogue of Thiele's hydrocarbon has a singlet ground state, whereas the CAAC analogue of Schlenk's hydrocarbon contains two unpaired electrons. The latter forms a dimer, by an intermolecular double head-to-tail dimerization. This straightforward synthetic methodology is modular and can be extended for the generation of redox-active organic compounds.  相似文献

We describe lasing of a thulium-doped polarizing photonic crystal fiber. A 4 m long fiber with 50 μm diameter core, 250 μm diameter cladding, and d/Λ ratio of 0.18 was pumped with a 793 nm diode and produced a polarized output with a polarization extinction ratio (PER) of 15 dB and an M(2) of <1.15. An intracavity polarizer and half-wave plate minimally increased the PER to 16 dB. The output power had 35% slope efficiency relative to the absorbed pump power. The maximum cw output power was limited to 4 W due to the quantum defect heating of the fiber.  相似文献

High intensity ultrasonic vibrations were used for destabilizing the static foam structure. Ultrasonic horn as a source of ultrasonic vibration was used for the destruction of the foam. The effect of the ratio of the horn to the column diameter on the drainage and collapse rate of foam has been analyzed. Further, an empirical correlation for the initial foam collapse rate in the presence of ultrasonic horn has been developed in terms of the initial liquid hold-up, surface tension of the surfactant solution and the ratio of horn diameter to the column diameter. Efficiency of the ultrasonic horn is related to the position of the tip of the horn. Periodic supply of ultrasonic vibrations was found to be a more viable option than the continuous supply in terms of saving in energy and operating cost for defoaming using ultrasound.  相似文献

The effect of germanium addition on the physical properties, i.e. density, molar volume, compactness, number of lone-pair electrons, average coordination number, heat of atomization, mean bond energy, cohesive energy and glass-transition temperature, of (Se80Te20)100? x Ge x (x = 0, 2, 4, 6) bulk glassy alloys was investigated. The density of the glassy alloys is found to decrease with increasing Ge content. The molar volume and compactness of the structure of the glass were determined from the measured density. The mean bond energy is proportional to the glass-transition temperature. The cohesive energy of the samples has been calculated using a chemical bond approach and is correlated with an increase in the optical energy gap with increase in the Ge content. The heat of atomization was also calculated and correlated with the optical energy gap. The glass-transition temperature has been estimated using different methods and is found to increase with an increase of Ge content.  相似文献

The nitric oxide reactivity of two copper(II) complexes, 1 and 2 with ligands L(1) and L(2), respectively, [L(1) = 5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, L(2) = 5,5,7-trimethyl-[1,4]-diazepane] have been studied. The copper(II) center in complex 1 was found to be unreactive toward nitric oxide in pure acetonitrile; however, it displayed reduction in methanol solvent in presence of base. The copper(II) center in 2, in acetonitrile solvent, on exposure to nitric oxide has been found to be reduced to copper(I). The same reduction was observed in methanol, also, in case of complex 2. In case of complex 1, presumably, the attack of nitric oxide on the deprotonated amine is the first step, followed by electron transfer to the copper(II) center to afford the reduction. Alternatively, first NO coordination to the Cu(II) followed by NO(+) migration to the secondary amine is the most probable in case of complex 2. The observation of the transient intermediate in UV-visible and FT-IR spectroscopy prior to reduction in case of complex 2 also supports this possibility. In both cases, the reduction resulted into N-nitrosation; in 1, only mononitrosation was observed whereas complex 2 afforded dinitrosation as major product along with a minor amount of mononitrosation. Thus, it is evident from the present study that the macrocyclic ligands prefer the deprotonation pathway leading to mononitrosation; whereas nonmacrocyclic ones prefer the [Cu(II)-NO] intermediate pathway resulting into nitrosation at all the available sites of the ligand as major product.  相似文献

The nanocrystalline mordenite (MOR) type zeolite materials with initial chemical composition Na(2)O:Al(2)O(3):10SiO(2):48H(2)O have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. MOR1 and MOR2 are spherically shaped nanocrystals, whereas MOR3 and MOR4 have rod-like morphology. This paper reports the sorption characteristics of MOR analogues for Th(IV) and Eu(III) removal from aqueous nuclear waste. Sorption of Th(IV) and Eu(III) on MOR1, MOR2, MOR3 and MOR4 in a single component system with varying initial metal ion concentration, solution pH, contact times, sorbent dose and temperatures has also been investigated. Further, the Langmuir and Freundlich sorption models have been applied to describe equilibrium isotherms at different temperatures. The adsorption capacity increases largely with increasing solution pH and temperature of the system. Specific surface area and pore volume have been investigated by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method. The N(2) adsorption isotherm presents a type IV isotherm with narrow hysteresis loop which indicates the presence of mesopores related to inter-particle voids. Thermodynamic results indicate that the sorption follows an endothermic physisorption process. It has been found that these exchangers have good sorption capacity and out of which MOR4 has highest sorption capacity. Thus, nanocrystalline MOR4 is proved to be good sorbent for both Th(IV) and Eu(III).  相似文献

A conceptually unifying approach for a highly enantio- and diastereoselective synthesis of polyfunctionalised octrahydroquinolines incorporating three contiguous chiral centres is reported. The synthesis involves diphenylprolinol silyl ether-catalysed Michael addition of 1,3-cyclohexanedione to nitroalkenes followed by potassium carbonate-promoted aza-Henry reaction with N-tosyl aldimines, intramolecular hemiaminalisation and dehydration reaction cascade in a one-pot operation.  相似文献

Scale factors for (a) low (<1000 cm(-1)) and high harmonic vibrational frequencies, (b) thermal contributions to enthalpy and entropy, and (c) zero-point vibrational energies have been determined for five hybrid functionals (B3P86, B3PW91, PBE1PBE, BH&HLYP, MPW1K), five pure functionals (BLYP, BPW91, PBEPBE, HCTH93, and BP86), four hybrid meta functionals (M05, M05-2X, M06, and M06-2X) and one double-hybrid functional (B2GP-PLYP) in combination with the correlation consistent basis sets [cc-pVnZ and aug-cc-pVnZ, n = D(2),T(3),Q(4)]. Calculations for vibrational frequencies were carried out on 41 organic molecules and an additional set of 22 small molecules was used for the zero-point vibrational energy scale factors. Before scaling, approximately 25% of the calculated frequencies were within 3% of experimental frequencies. Upon application of the derived scale factors, nearly 90% of the calculated frequencies deviated less than 3% from the experimental frequencies for all of the functionals when the augmented correlation consistent basis sets were used.  相似文献
