The effect of components of the redox pair K3[Fe(CN)6]/K4[Fe(CN)6] on the dynamics of formation of octanethiol (OT) monolayers from aqueous thiol-containing solutions of 0.1 М NaClO4 is studied by cyclic voltammetry (CVA). The formation of OT monolayers is shown to depend on the presence of ions of hexacyanoferrate(II)/(III) in solution. Being added to solution, the components of the [Fe(CN)6]3–/4– redox pair sharply increase the time of formation of the insulating monolayer OT films and make them less stable. The destabilizing and inhibiting action of [Fe(CN)6]3–/4– ions becomes stronger as their concentration in solution increases. The adsorption activity of individual components of the redox pair is assessed. The strong and approximately equal adsorption activity of ions [Fe(CN)6]3– and [Fe(CN)6]4– on gold in the presence of octanethiol is observed. At the same time, OT and the hexacyanoferrate(II)/(III) ions can be placed in the following row: OT > [Fe(CN)6]3– ≈ [Fe(CN)6]4–. Recommendations are given on how to eliminate the interfering action of the K3[Fe(CN)6]/K4[Fe(CN)6] redox-pair ions when studying the insulating properties of thiol monolayers on gold. 相似文献

The investigation of codimension-2 bifurcations, in particular in systems with cylindric symmetry, enables us to deduce new
types of secondary regimes branching-off from the symmetric regimes. This investigation also allows us the unique possibility
of a rigorous treatment of chaotic solutions to Navier–Stokes and other nonlinear PDE’s. The central manifold approach combined
with the reduction to the normal form lead to the so-called amplitude systems. These ODE systems describe the nonlinear interaction
between the neutral modes, and always include several nonlinear terms due to so-called intrinsic resonances. However, sometimes
additional resonances appear. In this paper we present the complete list of all possible resonances in dynamic systems with
cylindric symmetry and the corresponding forms of the amplitude equations. Further, we present the results of extensive numerical

Differences in the parameters of pre-organization of chalcone podands to intermolecular photoinduced [2+2] cycloaddition (PCA)
in crystals were discovered. As a result of PCA, the chalcone podand with two oxyethylene units forms stereoregular cyclobutane-containing
polymer chains over the whole volume of the single crystal. In the case of the chalcone podand with one oxyethylene unit,
the PCA reaction in single crystal becomes impossible; however, its mechanical destruction results in the formation of surface
layers with stacking dimers. In these layers, photodimerization occurs due to a decrease in topochemical control from the

The generation of a microwave second harmonic by a YBCO single crystal in a dc magnetic field was studied. We found that the
signal existed only when there was a direct screening current. As a result, the pinning current as a function of magnetic
field can be derived directly from the second harmonic intensity versus the magnetic field. The experimental data were interpreted
in terms of a generalized model of the critical state taking into account diffusion of vortices and the absence of a barrier
stopping vortices from leaving the sample. We have shown that, in a decreasing dc magnetic field, the current density is considerably
lower than both the critical and screening current densities in an increasing dc field. Our experiments indicate that vortices
are not the sources of radiation at the double frequency. A relation between the mechanism of harmonic generation in the Meissner
phase and modulation of the order parameter by the microwave magnetic field (Ginzburg-Landau nonlinearity) is discussed. It
is remarkable that, by measuring the second harmonic intensity in the Meissner state versus temperature, one can obtain the
magnetic field penetration depth as a function of temperature with fairly good accuracy.

Effect of the presence and the concentration of lead ions on the anodic dissolution of gold in cyanide electrolytes is studied. The ions dramatically accelerate the process in the potential region extending from –0.61 V vs. NHE (equilibrium potential of gold) to –0.2 V. Third-harmonic microwave radiation of the BiSrCaCuO superconducting single crystal was studied. Two modes of microwave field-sample interactions were observed. In a weak field, a strong increase in the intensity of radiation after switching on a constant magnetic field, a hysteresis between opposite scan directions, and different harmonic amplitudes depending on the conditions of cooling (in the presence or absence of a magnetic field) were observed. These observations can be described by the generalized Ginzburg-Landau functional taking into account higher spatial derivatives of the order parameter. At a high intensity of incident waves, a magnetic field almost did not influence third-harmonic radiation, and, accordingly, hysteresis was absent. This is likely to be evidence that, at high powers, third-harmonic radiation arises as a result of generation of vortices under the action of a high-frequency magnetic field. 相似文献
