The effect of ultrasound on the diffusion length of minority charge carriers in dislocation-free p-Si is investigated in the frequency range 0.8–5.5 MHz. The diffusion length is measured by the surface photovoltage method. It is found that the diffusion length reversibly increases (by a factor of two at a sound intensity of 3 W/cm2) in response to ultrasound. The dependences of the diffusion length on the ultrasound amplitude and the kinetic characteristics upon switching on and switching off the ultrasound are analyzed. The phenomena observed are explained within the proposed model of transformation of recombination centers under the effect of ultrasound. 相似文献

Saturation transfer EPR spectroscopy is used to study the photoinduced conformational changes of spin-labeled (Cys140 and Cys316) rhodopsin in a photoreceptor membrane. Illumination of rhodopsin with “yellow” light (λ > 450 nm), converting it from the dark form into metarhodopsin II, a physiologically active form, is accompanied by an increase in the mobility of the cytoplasmic loop (Cys140) and eighth alpha-helix (Cys316), whereas the subsequent illumination with “blue” light (λ < 445 nm), which converts metarhodopsin II into a mixture of inactive photoregenerated products, results in a decrease in the mobility. The restoration of the specific features of the photoinduced changes in the conformational mobility of the cytoplasmic loops of rhodopsin regenerated in the dark is demonstrated. 相似文献

Let K be an absolutely convex infinite-dimensional compact in a Banach space χ. The set of all bounded linear operators T on χ satisfying TK ⊃ K is denoted by G(K). Our starting point is the study of the closure WG(K) of G(K) in the weak operator topology. We prove that WG(K) contains the algebra of all operators leaving [`(lin(K))]\overline{{\rm lin}(K)} invariant. More precise results are obtained in terms of the Kolmogorov n-widths of the compact K. We show that the open unit ball of the space of operators from a finite-dimensional Hilbert space into a separable Hilbert space (we call it “operator ball”) has a restricted form of normal structure if we endow it with a hyperbolic metric (which is an analogue of the standard hyperbolic metric on the unit disc in the complex plane). We use this result to get a fixed point theorem for groups of biholomorphic automorphisms of the operator ball. The fixed point theorem is used to show that a bounded representation in a separable Hilbert space which has an invariant indefinite quadratic form with finitely many negative squares is unitarizable (equivalent to a unitary representation).
