Nuclear correlations in the 13C(π+, π0)13N reaction

Pauli and short range correlations are studied and shown to be important in the ${}^{13}\text{C (π}{}^{\mathrm{+}}\text{, π}{}^0\text{)}{}^{13}\text{N}$ reaction near the resonance, helping to reduce appreciably the discrepancies between the experiment and previous theoretical results.     

Photon-nucleus scattering and coherent π0 photoproduction in the Δ-hole model

The microscopic Δ-isobar-hole model is applied to the study of photon-nucleus scattering and coherent photoproduction. The role of π and ρ exchange together with additional correlations in the Δ-hole interaction are investigated and compared with the situation in π-nucleus scattering. Because of the transverse photon coupling, the coherent forward propagation of pions, and therefore the strong elastic broadening observed in pion-nuclear scattering, is largely suppressed. The photonuclear processes prove to be sensitive to the medium corrections incorporated through the Δ-self-energies, which are responsible for a strong damping of the reaction cross section. Results are shown for ⁴He and ¹⁶O and compared to the available experimental data.     

Liftable vector fields over corank one multigerms

In this paper, a systematic method is given to construct all liftable vector fields over an analytic multigerm \(f:({\mathbb {K}}^n, S)\rightarrow ({\mathbb {K}}^p,0)\) of corank at most one admitting a one-parameter stable unfolding.     

Curvature loci of 3-manifolds

We refine the affine classification of real nets of quadrics in order to obtain generic curvature loci of regular 3-manifolds in ${\mathbb{R}}^6$ and singular corank one 3-manifolds in ${\mathbb{R}}^5$. For this, we characterize the type of the curvature locus by the number and type of solutions of a system of equations given by four ternary cubics (which is a determinantal variety in some cases). We also study how singularities of the curvature locus of a regular 3-manifold can go to infinity when the manifold is projected orthogonally in a tangent direction.
