Mycalolides are tris-oxazole macrolides isolated from the marine sponge Mycale sp., which shows cytotoxic, antifungal, and actin-depolymerizing activities. To develop an efficient synthetic route of mycalolides and to evaluate its functional mechanism of biological activities, tris-oxazole macrolactone analogs of mycalolides were synthesized through the use of ring-closing metathesis (RCM). The presence/absence of protecting groups at C3, solvent polarity, and reaction temperature significantly affected the stereoselectivity of RCM (E/Z=2.5/1.0–1.0/2.5). The 19E- and 19Z-stereoisomers both exhibited moderate cytotoxicity against tumor cells, but neither showed significant actin-depolymerizing properties or antimycotic activity against pathogenic fungi. Thus, both the side-chain (actin-binding) moiety and the macrolactone moiety were suggested to be essential for the potent biological activities of the parent molecules.  相似文献

Colloidal crystals can be formed of silica particles while those of titania particles are not known under the normal gravitational field, because of their high specific gravity. We found by the Kikuchi--Kossel diffraction technique that, when silica particles (diameter: D?=?170?nm; density: ρ?=?2.2?g cm?3) are mixed with titania particles (D?=?127?nm; ρ?=?3.9?g cm?3), colloidal crystals are formed. Colloidal crystals started out with body-centred-cubic structure and changed to face-centred-cubic structures after about 60 days. Transitions began from the bottom of the container. Thus, the transitions are considered to be due to gravitational sedimentation. It is significant that the crystal growth process, which has not been observed in one-component dispersions of the silica particles, was found using titania particles with a wide range of the practical applicability.  相似文献

Possible existence of bound states of a charmed baryon, Λ c , Σ c , Σ* c with a nucleon, N, as well as two charmed baryons, Λ c Λ c , etc., are examined in the meson exchange potential approach. The heavy quark spin symmetry induces a strong tensor coupling between Λ c N, Σ c N and Σ* c N states, which causes a bound state of Λ c N (J = 0+ and 1+) states. Such a bound state is also seen in the spin-singlet Λ c Λ c channel, which resembles the H dibaryon in the strange sector.  相似文献

Crowded environments inside cells exert significant effects on protein structure, stability, and function, but their effects on (pre)folding dynamics and kinetics, especially at molecular levels, remain ill-understood. Here, we examine the latter for, as an initial candidate, a small de novo β-hairpin using extensive all-atom molecular dynamics simulations for crowder volume fractions φ up to 40%. We find that crowding does not introduce new folding intermediates or misfolded structures, although, as expected, it promotes compact structures and reduces the accessible conformational space. Furthermore, while hydrophobic-collapse-mediated folding is slightly enhanced, the turn-directed zipper mechanism (dominant in crowder-free situations) increases many-fold, becoming even more dominant. Interestingly, φ influences the stability of the folding intermediates (FI(1) and FI(2)) in an apparently counterintuitive manner, which can be understood only by considering specific intrachain interactions and intermediate (and hierarchical) structural transitions. For φ values <20%, native-turn formation is enhanced, and FI(1), characterized by a hairpin structure but slightly mismatched hydrophobic contacts, increases in frequency, thus enhancing eventual folding. However, higher φ values impede native-turn formation, and FI(2), which lacks native turns, re-emerges and increasingly acts as a kinetic trap. The change in the stability of these intermediates with φ strongly correlates with the hierarchical folding stages and their kinetics. The results show that crowding assists intermediate structural changes more by impeding backward transitions than by promoting forward transitions and that a delicate competition between reduction in configuration space and introduction of kinetic traps along the folding route is key to understanding folding kinetics under crowded conditions.  相似文献

A snapshot imaging Mueller matrix polarimeter (SIMMP) is theoretically described and empirically demonstrated through simulation. Spatial polarization fringes are localized onto a sample by incorporating polarization gratings (PGs) into a polarization generator module. These fringes modulate the Mueller matrix (MM) components of the sample, which are subsequently isolated with PGs in an analyzer module. The MM components are amplitude modulated onto spatial carrier frequencies which, due to the PGs, maintain high visibility in spectrally broadband illumination. An interference model of the SIMMP is provided, followed by methods of reconstruction and calibration. Lastly, a numerical simulation is used to demonstrate the system's performance in the presence of noise.  相似文献

We propose a novel power-line-monitoring system using optical fibers for transmitting power as well as signal. The principle is experimentally confirmed with a system composed of a monitoring side with a 1.5-μm laser diode, transmission line of a single mode fiber, and a sensing side having an efficient photovoltaic (PV) cell, electrical junction sensor, and low power liquid crystal optical modulator (LCOM). The PV cell generates the electrical power in the sensing side with a conversion efficiency of 20%. The LCOM is driven with low power of less than 50 μW, modulates the laser light with a signal indicating the power line condition, and transmits the optical signal. The developed sensing unit produces an optical signal having an extinction ratio of 15 dB with low optical power of 1.8 mW. Five systems were in operation for two years, faithfully monitoring the oil pressure in electrical cables every 20 min without incident.  相似文献

Mesoporous silica films were synthesized via a sol-gel process under an acidic condition. Various amounts of triblock copolymer F38 were loaded to precursor sols as the pore generator. The evolution of the pores generated by porogen decomposition was investigated as a function of F38 loading by positron annihilation gamma-ray energy spectroscopy and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy based on slow positron beams. The threshold of pore percolation is found to be around 10 wt% of F38 loading by positron annihilation gamma-ray energy spectroscopy. Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy in the films show that the pore size increases from 1 nm to 3 nm with increasing F38 loading from 5 wt% to 30 wt%.  相似文献

La3LiMn1−xTixO7 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.05) samples were synthesized by a solid-state reaction method, and a single-phase form was observed for the samples in the range of x ≤ 0.03. Crystal structure, optical properties, and color of the La3LiMn1−xTixO7 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.03) samples were characterized. Strong optical absorption was observed at a wavelength between 400 and 550 nm, and a shoulder absorption peak also appeared around 690 nm in all samples; orange colors were also exhibited. Among the samples synthesized, the most brilliant orange color was obtained at La3LiMn0.97Ti0.03O7. The redness (a*) and yellowness (b*) values of this pigment were higher than those of the commercially available orange pigments. Therefore, the orange color of this pigment is brighter than those of the commercial products. Since the La3LiMn0.97Ti0.03O pigment is composed of non-toxic elements, it could be a new environmentally friendly inorganic orange pigment.  相似文献
