For the first time, average angular momenta of the ternary fission fragments 100, 102Zr, 106Mo, 144, 146Ba and 138, 140, 142Xe from the α-accompanied fission of 252Cf were obtained from relative intensities of prompt γ-ray transitions with the use of the statistical model calculation. Average values of the angular momenta were compared with the corresponding values for the same fission fragments from the binary fission of 252Cf. Results indicate the presence of a decreasing trend in the average values of angular momenta induced in ternary fission fragments compared to the same binary fission fragments. On the average, the total angular momentum extracted for ternary fission fragments is ∼1.4 ℏ lower than in binary fission. Consequently, results indicate that the mechanism of the ternary α-particles emission may directly effect an induction of angular momenta of fission fragments, and possible scenarios of such mechanisms are discussed. Further, the dependence of the angular momenta of 106Mo and 140Xe on the number of emitted neutrons from correlated pairs of primary fragments was obtained also showing a decreasing dependence of average angular momenta with increasing number of emitted neutrons. The process of fusion-fission of heavy and superheavy nuclei (SHE) with Z=82?122 formed in the reactions with 48Ca and 58Fe ions at energies near and below the Coulomb barrier has been studied. The experiments were carried out at the U-400 accelerator of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions (JINR) and at the XTU Tandem accelerator of the National Laboratory of Legnaro (LNL) using the time-of-flight spectrometer of fission fragments CORSET and the neutron multi-detector DEMON. As a result of the experiments, mass and energy distributions (MED) of fission fragments, fission, quasi-fission and evaporation residues cross sections, multiplicities of neutrons and γ quanta and their dependence on the mechanism of formation and decay of compound systems have been studied.  相似文献

Excitation functions were measured for fusion followed by the evaporation of neutrons in the reactions 206Pb(6He, 2 n )210Po and 197Au(6He, xn)203−xn T1, where x = 2−7, as well as for the transfer reactions on a 197Au target with the formation of the 196Au, 198Au, and 199Au isotopes. The experiment was carried out at the Dubna Radioactive Ion Beams (DRIBs) complex of FLNR, JINR. The 6He beam intensity was about 5 × 106 pps, the maximum energy being (60.3 ± 0.4) MeV. A significant increase in the cross section was observed below the Coulomb barrier for the fusion reaction with the evaporation of two neutrons compared to statistical model calculations. Unusual behavior for the production of 198Au is observed, whereas the cross section for the formation of 199Au is very low. The analysis of the data in the framework of the statistical model for the decay of excited nuclei, which took into account the sequential fusion of 6He, has shown good agreement between the experimental and calculated values of the cross sections for the case of sub-Coulomb-barrier fusion in the 206Pb + 6He reaction. We report the present status of the mass-spectrometer MASHA (Mass-Analyzer of Supper Heavy Atoms) designed for determination of the masses of superheavy elements. The mass-spectrometer is connected to the U-400M cyclotron of the Flerov Laboratory for Nuclear Reactions (FLNR) JINR, Dubna. The first experiments on mass-measurements for 112 and 114 elements will be performed in the upcoming 2010. For this purpose a hot catcher, based on a graphite stopper, is constructed. The α-decay of the superheavy nuclides or spontaneous fission products will be detected with a silicon 192 strips detector. The experimental program of future investigations using the technique of a gas catcher is discussed. It should be regarded as an alternative of the classical ISOL technique. The possibilities are considered for using this mass-spectrometer for laser spectroscopy of nuclei far off-stability.  相似文献

Gluon distributions in real and virtual photons are calculated using evolution equations in the NLO approximation. The quark distributions in the photon determined on the basis of the QCD sum rule approach in [1] are taken as an input. It is shown that gluon distribution in the photon can be reliably determined up tox=0.03÷0.05, much lower than the corresponding values in the case of quark distributions. Two variants of the calculations are considered: (1) it is assumed that there are no intrinsic gluons in the photon at some low normalization pointQ 2=Q 0 2 ∼1GeV2; (2) it is assumed that gluonic content of the photon at lowQ 0 2 is described by gluonic content of vector mesonsρ, ω, ϕ. The gluon distributions in these two variants appear to be different. This fact permits one to clarify the origin of nonperturbative gluonic content of the photon by comparing the results with experiment. Structure functionsF 2(x) for real and virtual photon are calculated and it is shown that in the regionx≥0.2 where QCD approach is valid, there is a good agreement with experiment.  相似文献

The mass distributions and total c.m. kinetic energies of fission fragments formed in the reaction40Ar+243Am at bombarding energies of 214, 222, 240 and 300 MeV have been measured using the angular correlation method. Angular distributions and anisotropy for 222 and 300 MeV have also been obtained. A symmetric mass distribution corresponding to the decay of a highly excited compound nucleus was obtained at 300 MeV bombarding energy. However, with decreasing bombarding energy the fission fragment mass distribution becomes asymmetric, the most probable heavy fragment mass being about 200–210 amu.  相似文献

A heavy-ion multiple Coulomb excitation experiment on a very exotic target containing microweight quantities of 178Hf in the Kπn = 16+ isomeric state has been performed at 4.77 MeV/u 208Pb beam energy. The first excited Iπ = 17+ state has been observed at an excitation energy of 357.4 ± 0.3 keV with respect to the isomeric state. The intrinsic electric quadrupole moment of Q 0 = 8.2 ± 1.1 b has been derived from the experimental data within the rigid rotor model.  相似文献

We report on the observation of the first decay event of the new nuclide 292116 produced in an experiment devoted to the synthesis of Z=116 nuclei in the 248Cm + 48Ca reaction. The implantation of a heavy recoil in the focal-plane detector was followed in 46.9 ms by an α particle with E α=10.56MeV. The energies and decay times of the descendant nuclei are in agreement with those observed in the decay chains of the even-even isotope 288114, previously produced in the 244Pu + 48Ca reaction. Thus, the first α decay should be attributed to the parent nuclide 292116 produced via the evaporation of four neutrons in the complete fusion of 248Cm and 48Ca. The experiment is in progress at Flerov Laboratory for Nuclear Reactions (FLNR, JINR, Dubna).  相似文献

A method for the determination of Hf in an Yb matrix using the reaction176Hf(, 3n)177W is described. The excitation function of this reaction was measured and the4He ion energy of 36 MeV was chosen.177W was determined by -spectrometry after chemical isolation by means of extraction chromatography with tri-n-butyl phosphate. Calibration measurements were carried out with known quantities ofnatHf. The sensitivity limit obtained was at the level of 3·10–8 g/g. The Hf admixtures innatYb and176Yb samples were estimated quantitatively.  相似文献
