Obtaining ultracold samples of dipolar molecules is a current challenge which requires an accurate knowledge of their electronic properties to guide the ongoing experiments. In this paper, we systematically investigate the ground state and the lowest triplet state of mixed alkali dimers (involving Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) using a standard quantum chemistry approach based on pseudopotentials for atomic core representation, Gaussian basis sets, and effective terms for core polarization effects. We emphasize on the convergence of the results for permanent dipole moments regarding the size of the Gaussian basis set, and we discuss their predicted accuracy by comparing to other theoretical calculations or available experimental values. We also revisit the difficulty to compare computed potential curves among published papers, due to the differences in the modelization of core-core interaction.  相似文献

The structures and energetics of Li(6) (+), Li(6) (-) and three isomers of Li(6) are investigated using the coupled-cluster singles, doubles and perturbative triples [CCSD(T)] method with valence and core-valence correlation consistent basis sets of double- to quadruple-zeta quality (cc-pVXZ and cc-pCVXZ, where X=D-Q). These results are compared with qualitatively different predictions by less reliable methods. Our results conclusively show that the D(4h) isomer is the global minimum structure for Li(6). It is energetically favored over the C(5v) and D(3h) structures by about 5.1 and 7.1 kcal mol(-1), respectively, after the inclusion of the zero-point vibrational energy (ZPVE) correction. Our most accurate total atomization energies are 123.2, 117.6, and 115.7 kcal mol(-1) for the D(4h), C(5v), and D(3h) isomers, respectively. Comparison of experimental optical absorption spectra with our computed electronic spectra also indicate that the D(4h) isomer is indeed the most stable structure. The cation, anion, and some higher spin states are investigated using the less expensive cc-pCVDZ basis set. Adiabatic ionization energies and electron affinities are reported and compared with experimental values. Predictions of molecular properties are found to be sensitive to the basis set used and to the treatment of electron correlation.  相似文献

Catalytic conversion of an oil distillate with the added extra amounts of thiophene over a zeolite catalyst was studied. The rate of the catalyst deactivation was found to increase with the increase in the thiophene concentration in the feed. A possible pathway of the thiophene conversion is discussed.  相似文献

Compared to Pt or Pd electrodes, Au is a poor catalyst for the direct anodic oxidation of HCOOH, but the formation of Au surface oxides in acidic solutions is accompanied by a fast oxidation of HCOOH. This fast reaction is not simply a secondary reaction of Au surface oxides since those oxides are kinetically stable in HCOOH solutions. They do oxidize HCOOH only via a slow and purely electrochemical process which occurs on free Au sites and is “driven” by oxide reduction. The fast HCOOH oxidation is due to a highly reactive intermediate which is able either to form stable Au oxides AunOm or to react with HCOOH. Our results are consistent with the model that by the charge transfer step a reactive non-equilibrium {Au…O> species is formed which converts to stable equilibrium oxides AunOm after migration and rearrangement steps. Pre-equilibrium <Au…O> oxidizes HCOOH and this oxidation is of lower order with respect to <Au…O> compared with the formation of AunOm.  相似文献

The thermolysis of compounds of the type Cp2VR (R = aryl) in the solid state has been studied. A distinct increase in thermal stability is observed upon substitution of the ortho-position of the aryl group. Thermal decomposition occurs with formation of RH, Cp2 V, a vanadocene homologue with the group R substituted in one of the Cp rings and, probably, a vanadocene homologue with two substituted Cp rings. It is shown that the abstraction of the hydrogen atom from the cyclopentadienyl ring, necessary for the formation of RH, is an intermolecular process, whereas the substitution of the aryl group in the Cp ring is intramolecular. A decomposition mechanism is proposed in which the group R is transferred from the vanadium atom to the C5H5 ring of the same molecule by interaction with an aryl group of another molecule. The thermal decomposition of Cp2VR is compared with that of the analogous titanium compounds.  相似文献

The chemical composition, structure, and properties of an H3PO4-promoted polycrystalline silver foil are studied by XPS. The surface of the doped sample contains oxygen in two states with binding energies of 531.1 and 533.0 eV. Heat treatment results in silver clusters distributed in the polyphosphate matrix. It follows from TDS data that the surface of the promoted catalyst contains a strongly bound oxygen species that desorbs at ~900 K. The reaction of alkylpyridinium (CnH2n + 1NC5H5, hereafter Cn-Py) iodide salts in aqueous acetonitrile with a preformed palladium iodide precursor afforded two different types of organic-inorganic phases depending on the molar ratio. A 2:1 ratio yielded the phase [Cn-Py]2[PdI4] (3, n = 14, 16), which crystallized in the triclinic crystal system. The X-ray crystal structure of 3, (n = 14), refined in the space group P1 (a = 8.918(3) A, b = 9.894(3) A, c = 29.062(12) A, alpha = 93.51(3) degrees, beta = 94.17(3) degrees, gamma = 115.60(3) degrees, and Z = 2), consists of interdigitated bilayers with a basal spacing of 29.0 A. The aliphatic chains of the cations, which run almost parallel to the stacking direction, are fully stretched between polar planes built on isolated [PdI4]2- anions and cation headgroups. Changing the organic cation to palladium ratio to 1:1 led to a new phase [Cn-Py]2[Pd2I6] (4, n = 14, 16), which crystallizes in the triclinic P1 space group (a = 9.399(4) A, b = 14.264(6) A, c = 29.415(13) A, alpha = 92.11(4) degrees, beta = 90.07(4) degrees, gamma = 104.53(3) degrees, Z = 3 for 4(n = 14); a = 9.417(2) A, b = 14.215(3) A, c = 31.552(6) A, alpha = 87.96(3) degrees, beta = 87.63(3) degrees, gamma = 75.67(3) degrees, Z = 3 for 4(n = 16)). The layered structure is basically of a continuously interdigitated single-layer type, with a bilayer sublattice superimposed. Isolated [Pd2I6]2- anions contribute to the inorganic planes. A high degree of interdigitation and tilting of the aliphatic chains lead to basal spacings of 29.4 and 31.5 A for 4(n = 14) and 4(n = 16), respectively. The [Cn-Py]2[PdI4] and [Cn-Py]2[Pd2I6] phases were characterized by thermal analysis. Mesomorphic behavior was observed only for 3(n = 16), which was confirmed by variable-temperature powder XRD and optical microscopy.  相似文献

A preparative route to cis- and trans-1,2-dibromocyclopropane (1) was developed via the Hunsdiecker reaction of silver cyclopropane-1,2-dicarboxylate (2). Cis- and trans-2 gave the same ratio of cis- and trans-1 (1:3.2). The mechanism of this reaction is briefly discussed.  相似文献

The E ? Z photoisomerization of the title compound (UA) (a naturally occurring sunscreen) has been studied in aqueous solution. At a UA concentration of 6mM and using 313nm excitation, φE→z= 0.52, φZ→E= 0.47 and the photostationary state is 34% E. Under these conditions, loss of UA is minimal. Low energy triplet quenchers fail to impede the isomerization, but the reaction can be induced by several triplet sensitizers. The ET for UA is estimated to be approximately 55 kcal/mol.  相似文献
