Shears band in the 105Sn nucleus

The structure of ¹⁰⁵Sn has been investigated through the ⁵⁰Cr(⁵⁸Ni,2pn) reaction at a beam energy of 210 MeV. In addition to an extension of the spherical level scheme, a regular sequence of dipole transitions has been found. The experimental results are in agreement with the prediction of Tilted Axis Cranking calculations, which satisfactorily explain the properties of the band.     

Low temperature electronic transport in sputter deposited a-IGZO films

We report on the electrical properties of a-IGZO thin films prepared by reactive sputtering. Without oxygen injection, dc resistivity measured at room temperature is ρ_300K = 1.22 × 10⁻³ Ωm. The lowest resistivity ρ_300K = 4.86 × 10⁻⁵ Ωm is obtained at a certain oxygen supply into the deposition process. Hall effect measurements of these films reveal a metallic-like behavior from mobility and carrier concentration vs. temperature in the range 15–300 K whereas films deposited without oxygen or for the highest oxygen flows behave as semiconductors. These enhanced electrical properties are connected to the oxygen vacancies and the local coordination structure around the In³⁺ cations.     

Competition between (h11/2)2 proton and neutron excitations around128Ba: Coexistence of near prolate and near oblate shapes at high spin

Recent cranked shell model calculations give a possible explanation for the occurrence of two S-bands in Ba-nuclei.     

New Spectroscopic Information on 98Pd

Neutron deficient ⁹⁸Pd nuclei were produced in the ⁵⁰Cr(⁵⁸Ni,2p2α)⁹⁸Pd reaction at a beam energy of 261 MeV. A revision and extension of the level structure of ⁹⁸Pd is proposed. About 40 new transitions have been assigned to, and placed in the level scheme of this nucleus. A sequence of states are candidates for the negative parity 4—quasiparticle states built on the πg _9/2 ^?3 πp _1/2 ^?1 configuration predicted in the framework of the nuclear shell model.
