The substantiated isolation of the antimony subiodide (Sb3I) is presented for the first time. It has been prepared using elemental Sb and I in ethanol under ultrasonic irradiation at 323 K. Its composition was characterized using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX). The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) investigations exhibit that the samples are made up of large quantity of nanoparticles with diameters smaller than 20 nm and single crystalline in nature. The interplanar spacings in Sb3I that have been determined using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and HRTEM are very similar. Surprisingly, the registered XRD patterns are identical to the one reported earlier for Sb4O5I2.  相似文献

The study deals with examination of conditions that are necessary to obtain flat crystals of silver bromide that grow in a water and gelatine crystallization environment where N,N ‐dimethylformamide is used as the agent that is conducive to complexing of sparingly soluble silver bromide. The examination focused on the issue how changes in volumetric concentration of N,N ‐dimethylformamide as well as concentration of excessive ions of silver bromide in the dispersive solution affect morphology and size of newly created of silver bromide. The completed experiments enabled to determine boundary limits of both N,N ‐dimethylformamide and bromide ions concentration where suspensions of silver bromide crystals exhibit predominant content of triangular, transient and hexagonal flat forms with very high aspect ratio. Let \((E,\Vert \cdot \Vert _E)\) be a Banach function space, \(E'\) the Köthe dual of E and \((X,\Vert \cdot \Vert _X)\) be a Banach space. It is shown that every Bochner representable operator \(T:E\rightarrow X\) maps relatively \(\sigma (E,E')\)-compact sets in E onto relatively norm compact sets in X. If, in particular, the associated norm \(\Vert \cdot \Vert _{E'}\) on \(E'\) is order continuous, then every Bochner representable operator \(T:E\rightarrow X\) is \((\gamma _E,\Vert \cdot \Vert _X)\)-compact, where \(\gamma _E\) stands for the natural mixed topology on E. Let (Ω, Σ, μ) be a finite atomless measure space, and let E be an ideal of L 0(μ) such that ${L^\infty(\mu) \subset E \subset L^1(\mu)}$ . We study absolutely continuous linear operators from E to a locally convex Hausdorff space ${(X, \xi)}$ . Moreover, we examine the relationships between μ-absolutely continuous vector measures m : Σ → X and the corresponding integration operators T m : L (μ) → X. In particular, we characterize relatively compact sets ${\mathcal{M}}$ in ca μ (Σ, X) (= the space of all μ-absolutely continuous measures m : Σ → X) for the topology ${\mathcal{T}_s}$ of simple convergence in terms of the topological properties of the corresponding set ${\{T_m : m \in \mathcal{M}\}}$ of absolutely continuous operators. In situ forming implants (ISFIs) appear to be a convenient drug delivery system, alternative to conventional preformed implants and microparticles for parenteral drug delivery applications. It has been shown that they offer several advantages including easy and minimally invasive application, potential for local/site‐specific drug delivery that allows reduction of side effects associated with systemic administration of drug. A few ISFI formulations based on poly(α‐hydroxy acids), solidifying by solid phase separation, are currently commercially available. In this work, polyesters based on sebacic acid, isosorbide, and optionally 1,2‐propanediol were synthesized and characterized. Poly(isosorbide sebacate‐co‐1,2‐propylene sebacate) (PISEBPG) was chosen as an essential constituent of new ISFI formulations dedicated to controlled release of doxycycline hyclate (DOXY). Basic characteristics of new ISFI formulations were investigated. In particular, the influence of addition of a relatively hydrophobic cosolvent (triacetin, TA) to a more hydrophilic 1‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP) as well as the presence of calcium carbonate (CAC) on the morphology of resulted depots and DOXY release profile was evaluated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis revealed that the presence of TA resulted in more porous morphology of the depots. DOXY has been releasing continuously from depots in vitro within 12 weeks depending on the composition. The release profile of the PISEBPG‐based formulation containing CAC indicates that it could be useful where short‐term (up to 14 d), rapid release of the antibiotic is required, while formulation without CAC, where after 21 days about 50% of the drug loaded may still be available for release, may be better for the long‐term delivery of DOXY.  相似文献
