The change in fluidity by adding pentoxifylline to erythrocyte membranes was compared with that caused by S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM) by the method of electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. When SAM or pentoxifylline was added externally to the erythrocyte suspension (outside), the fluidity of the membrane bilayer was increased after incubation at 37 degrees C. However, the fluidity change in the inner part of the bilayer was relatively small compared to that in its outer part. These fluidity changes were dependent on the incubation time and the temperature. When the erythrocyte suspension was preincubated overnight at 4 degrees C in the presence of drugs (inside), the fluidity of the inner part of the membrane changed significantly. Nevertheless, that of the outer part of the lipid bilayer was not affected. Such an asymmetric fluidity change in the lipid bilayer was not observed by the addition of other xanthine derivatives such as caffeine, theophylline and theobromine. S-Adenosyl-L-homocysteine suppressed and MgCl2 enhanced the increase of the membrane fluidity by SAM or pentoxifylline. Furthermore, the effects of SAM and pentoxifylline on erythrocyte deformability were determined by a filtering technique method. In increasing order the additive effects of SAM and pentoxifylline on the erythrocyte filterability were SAM (outside) less than pentoxifylline (inside) less than pentoxifylline (outside) less than SAM (inside). These results suggest that pentoxifylline also affects the membrane fluidity through the enzymatic methylation of phospholipids.  相似文献

The decomposition reaction dynamics of 2,3,4,4′,5‐penta‐chlorinated biphenyl (2,3,4,4′,5‐PeCB), 3,3′,4,4′,5‐penta‐chlorinated biphenyl (3,3′,4,4′,5‐PeCB), and 2,3,7,8‐tetra‐chlorinated dibenzo‐p‐dioxin (2,3,7,8‐TCDD) was clarified for the first time at atomic and electronic levels, using our novel tight‐binding quantum chemical molecular dynamics method with first‐principles parameterization. The calculation speed of our new method is over 5000 times faster than that of the conventional first‐principles molecular dynamics method. We confirmed that the structure, energy, and electronic states of the above molecules calculated by our new method are quantitatively consistent with those by first‐principles calculations. After the confirmation of our methodology, we investigated the decomposition reaction dynamics of the above molecules and the calculated dynamic behaviors indicate that the oxidation of the 2,3,4,4′,5‐PeCB, 3,3′,4,4′,5‐PeCB, and 2,3,7,8‐TCDD proceeds through an epoxide intermediate, which is in good agreement with the previous experimental reports and consistent with our static density functional theory calculations. These results proved that our new tight‐binding quantum chemical molecular dynamics method with first‐principles parameterization is an effective tool to clarify the chemical reaction dynamics at reaction temperatures. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The microwave acid digestion method was applied to the decomposition of rock samples and optimum conditions were investigated. Samples of 10–100 mg were decomposed by changing the amount and composition of acid, heating time and number of reheating steps and then the concentrations of Si, Fe, Mn, Na, K and Mg in these samples were measured. The concentrations agreed with reported values when 10 mg of sample were decomposed by heating for 60 s with 0.3 ml of concentrated HNO3 and 0.1 ml of concentrated HF. Similarly, 100 mg of sample were also decomposed successfully by heating for 45–110 s with 0.3–1.0 ml of concentrated HNO3 and 0.4–0.7 ml of concentrated HF. It is concluded that the microwave acid digestion method decomposes rock samples with a very short heating time and with small amount of reagents compared with methods using conventional sealed PTFE vessels, which require several hours for the heating step and several millilitres of reagents.  相似文献

Infrared (4000-50 cm?1) and Raman spectra are reported of methylamine, methylamine-d1 and methylamine-d2 trapped in argon and nitrogen matrices at 4–20 K. An anomalous intensity variation was found for the NH2 wagging mode of methylamine isolated in nitrogen matrices, while in argon matrices the NH2 wagging absorption exhibited a complex structure due to matrix site effects. A normal coordinate analysis was carried out using a new assignment of the NHD twisting frequency. Barriers to internal rotation in argon and nitrogen matrices, calculated from the observed torsional frequencies, are compared with the gas phase value.  相似文献

We have performed Monte Carlo simulations of hard spheres under gravity. Vertical boundaries are hard walls, which are well separated with each other. On the other hand, the periodic boundary condition is imposed in the horizontal direction. While we previously reported enhancement of crystallinity as well as crystallization due to gravity, we present here the results that demonstrate the succession of a defect. In case that the crystal formed at the bottom of the system includes kinds of stacking disorders for the (0 0 1) growth, twin band structure develops as mediated by a stacking disorder succeeded in the crystal formed in the fluid region which lies on the bottom crystal. In case that the stacking structure along horizontal direction changes from the (1 1 1) stacking to the (0 0 1) stacking, twin band structure in the (0 0 1) stacking region develops as succeeded in the crystal transformed. The twin band structure also becomes large with its upward growth.  相似文献

The alignment of nematic liquid crystalline (LC) molecules with respect to the LC cell surface was regulated between the homeotropic (H) state and the parallel (P) state by the photochromic trans—cis isomerization of surface-attached azobenzene (Az) moieties. By bringing the angular-selective photoreaction into the system, the orientational order in the P state was significantly improved to attain a universal orientational axis over the entire irradiated area, which was rotatable and erasable photochemically. Laser pulse experiments revealed that the allignment relaxation time τ was reduced from 1000 to 30 ms by increasing the pulse intensity from 10 to 20 mJ cm−2. Strong coupling between the LC and Az molecules was indicated.  相似文献

The determination of nickel in various silicate rocks and glasses by photon activation analysis with a linear electron accelerator is described. Simultaneous irradiation of the sample and comparative standards produces the 58Ni(γ, n)57Ni reaction, and a post-irradiation chemical separation is used in conjunction with Ge(Li) γ-spectrometry. Nickel abundances for ten standard silicate rocks and two elementally doped glasses are presented and compared with the data previously published. The method is quite simple and gives good reproducible results for nickel down to sub-p.p.m. levels.  相似文献

Summary Atomic absorption spectrometry combined with extraction is described for the determination of tri- and hexavalent chromium. The chromium diethyldithiocarbamate chelate was used for chromium (VI), whereas hydroxyquinolate or thenoyltrifluoroacetonate chelate for chromium(III). The method is rapid and precise.
Zusammenfassung Extraktion und darauffolgende Messung der Atomarabsorption wurden zur Bestimmung von drei- und sechswertigem Chrom verwendet. In acidic aqueous solution, a cobalt(III) complex containing monodentate N(9)-bound adeninate (ade(-)), cis-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)]Cl (cis-[1]Cl), underwent protonation to the adeninate moiety without geometrical isomerization or decomposition of the Co(III) coordination sphere, and complexes of cis-[CoCl(Hade)(en)(2)]Cl(2) (cis-[2]Cl(2)) and cis-[Co(H(2)ade)Cl(en)(2)]Cl(3) (cis-[3]Cl(3)) could be isolated. The pK(a) values of the Hade and H(2)ade(+) complexes are 6.03(1) and 2.53(12), respectively, at 20 degrees C in 0.1 M aqueous NaCl. The single-crystal X-ray analyses of cis-[2]Cl(2).0.5H(2)O and cis-[3]Cl(2)(BF(4)).H(2)O revealed that protonation took place first at the adeninate N(7) and then at the N(1) atoms to form adenine tautomer (7H-Hade-kappaN(9)) and cationic adeninium (1H,7H-H(2)ade(+)-kappaN(9)) complexes, respectively. On the other hand, addition of NaOH to an aqueous solution of cis-[1]Cl afforded a mixture of geometrical isomers of the hydroxo-adeninato complex, cis- and trans-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))(OH)(en)(2)](+). The trans-isomer of chloro-adeninato complex trans-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)]BF(4) (trans-[1]BF(4)) was synthesized by a reaction of cis-[2](BF(4))(2) and sodium methoxide in methanol. This isomer in acidic aqueous solution was also stable toward isomerization, affording the corresponding adenine tautomer and adeninium complexes (pK(a) = 5.21(1) and 2.48(9), respectively, at 20 degrees C in 0.1 M aqueous NaCl). The protonated product of trans-[Co(7H-Hade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)](BF(4))(2).H(2)O (trans-[2](BF(4))(2).H(2)O) could also be characterized by X-ray analysis. Furthermore, the hydrogen-bonding interactions of the adeninate/adenine tautomer complexes cis-[1]BF(4), cis-[2](BF(4))(2), and trans-[2](BF(4))(2) with 1-cyclohexyluracil in acetonitrile-d(3) were investigated by (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of trans-[Co(ade)(H(2)O)(en)(2)]HPO(4).3H(2)O, which was obtained by a reaction of trans-[Co(ade)(OH)(en)(2)]BF(4) and NaH(2)PO(4), was also determined.  相似文献
