The "flexible" 3 and "rigid" cyclic viologens 4, diquarternary salts of 2,2'-bipyridine and 1,10-phenanthroline, respectively, were treated with tributylphosphine (1) in acetonitrile containing a large amount of methanol under an argon atmosphere. A single electron transfer (SET) easily occurred from the latter to the former, the SET to 4 being 10(5)-10(6) times faster than the SET to 3. The reorganization energy lambda for the latter SET is thought to be larger than that for the former SET, because 3 undergoes a structural change upon the one-electron reduction to its radical cation, whereas the one-electron reduction of 4 takes place without a structural change. Taking into account the difference in lambda, and also taking into account the bond formation energy brought about by the follow-up reaction of the phosphine radical cation 1*(+) with methanol, the observed kinetics were well interpreted in terms of the Marcus theory.  相似文献

A method for mercury analysis and speciation in drinking water was developed, which involved stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) with in situ propyl derivatization and thermal desorption (TD)-GC-MS. Ten millilitre of tap water or bottled water was used. After a stir bar, pH adjustment agent and derivatization reagent were added, SBSE was performed. Then, the stir bar was subjected to TD-GC-MS. The detection limits were 0.01 ng mL(-1) (ethylmercury; EtHg), 0.02 ng mL(-1) (methylmercury; MeHg), and 0.2 ng mL(-1) (Hg(II) and diethylmercury (DiEtHg)). The method showed good linearity and correlation coefficients. The average recoveries of mercury species (n=5) in water samples spiked with 0.5, 2.0, and 6.0 ng mL(-1) mercury species were 93.1-131.1% (RSD<11.5%), 90.1-106.4% (RSD<7.8%), and 94.2-109.6% (RSD<8.8%), respectively. The method enables the precise determination of standards and can be applied to the determination of mercury species in water samples.  相似文献

The synthesis, structures, and optical and electrochemical properties of meso-phosphorylporphyrins are described. The copper-catalyzed carbon-phosphorus cross-coupling reaction of a meso-iodoporphyrin with di-n-butyl phosphite and diphenylphosphane oxide has proved to be an efficient and general method for the synthesis of meso-phosphorylporphyrins. Zinc phosphorylporphyrins thus obtained readily undergo self-organization through P-oxo-Zn coordination to form noncovalently linked, cofacial porphyrin dimers or linear oligomers, which have been characterized by spectroscopic methods and X-ray crystallographic analyses. In toluene, CH(2)Cl(2), and CHCl(3), the zinc phosphorylporphyrins exist mostly as dimers or monomers, depending on their concentrations, the temperature, and the presence of additives. The self-association constants for dimerization in toluene have been determined by UV/Vis absorption titration measurements. The meso-diphenylphosphorylporphyrin dimer displays excitonic coupling of the Soret band with a splitting energy of 940 cm(-1). Fluorescence lifetimes of the zinc phosphorylporphyrins have been found to be affected only slightly by the concentration of the solution, and by the addition of triphenylphosphane oxide, suggesting that the effect of dimerization on their photodynamics in the S(1) state is negligible. On the other hand, the effect of dimerization is clearly reflected in their electrochemical oxidation processes, as the initially produced radical cations are efficiently delocalized over the two porphyrin rings. These findings demonstrate the potential utility of meso-phosphorylporphyrins as new models for the special pair in photosynthesis and as new building blocks for porphyrin-based supramolecular materials.  相似文献

The molecular complex formed between indomethacin (IDM) and lidocaine (LDC), which are typical external medicines, was studied. A thermal analysis, microscopic study and phase solubility technique suggested intermolecular interaction between IDM and LDC. The phase solubility profiles with IDM and LDC were classified as A(L)-type, indicating the formation of a 1 : 1 stoichiometric molecular complex. The apparent stability constant (K(S)), calculated from the slope and the intercept, was 4478.9 M(-1). A molecular ion peak was detected at 592.2 (m/z) from fast-atom bombardment-MS measurements, which was in accordance with the sum of the molecular weight for IDM (M(W): 357.81) and LDC (M(W): 234.38). The changes of IR spectra in the C=O stretching region showed that each intact hydrogen bond network was collapsed in the IDM-LDC system and strong interaction between IDM and LDC formed after their kneading. From the (1)H-NMR analyses, it was estimated that the dominant interactive site was the IDM carboxylic acid group which associated with the LDC diethyl amino group non-covalently.  相似文献

To compare the effect of nitrate anions on the surface tension increments of aqueous solutions with that of halide anions, the surface tension of aqueous solutions of lithium nitrate, sodium nitrate, and potassium nitrate was measured as a function of temperature and concentration. It is shown that the surface tension of aqueous alkali metal nitrate solutions is determined primarily by the kinds of anions, since the surface tension increments of these nitrates were of the same magnitude. The importance of the electrical double layer at the surface is discussed in relation to these surface tension increments.  相似文献

Reported here for the first time are the synthesis and characterization of supramolecular complexes between diaryl-lambda(3)-iodanes and 18-crown-6 (18C6). Slow evaporation of solvents afforded 1:1 and 2:1 complexes between Ph(2)IBF(4) and 18C6 as stable crystals, depending on the conditions. X-ray crystal structures of these complexes indicated that each iodine atom contacts with the three adjacent oxygen atoms of 18C6 through two hypervalent secondary bonding and a weak interaction. (1)H NMR analyses and CSI-MS spectra showed that, in dichloromethane solution, Ph(2)IBF(4) exclusively forms the 1:1 complex with 18C6 (binding constant K(a), 1.02 x 10(3) M(-)(1)). The binding constants decrease with the increased solvent donor ability (Gutmann's DN). Changing the heteroatom ligand from BF(4) to the less nucleophilic PF(6) and AsF(6) increased the binding constant by about six times. Substitution of an electron-withdrawing group onto the para position of Ph(2)IBF(4) tends to increase in the complex stability. A linear Hammett relationship (rho = 0.59) between log K(a) and sigma(p)(+) values of substituents indicates that the diaryl-lambda(3)-iodanes with electropositive iodine(III) interact more efficiently with 18C6. Decreased binding magnitude was measured with 15C5, dibenzo-18C6, dibenzo-21C7, and dibenzo-30C10.  相似文献
