 Rate coefficients (k) in the colloidal crystallization of monodispersed silica spheres in the presence of sodium chloride are studied in microgravity achieved by parabolic flights of an aircraft. Time-resolved reflection spectroscopy is made with a continuous circulating-type stopped-flow cell system. The k values decrease as the salt concentration increases both at 0 and 1 G and those in microgravity are smaller than those in normal gravity by 16% (maximum), especially in water and in the presence of a small amount of the salt lower than 2 × 10−6 mol/l. The rates in flight at 1 G are larger by 15% (maximum) compared with those at 1 G on the ground. The k values obtained at 0 G, 1 G in flight and 1 G on the ground agree excellently with each other for the suspensions with 3 × 10−6 and 4 × 10−6 mol/l sodium chloride. Disappearance of the downward diffusion of spheres and no convection of the suspensions are important for retardation in microgravity. Received: 20 January 2000 Accepted: 9 March 2000  相似文献

Poly[o-(tetramethyldisilanylene)phenylene] ( 2a ), poly[o-(1,2-dimethyldiphenyldisilanylene)-phenylene] ( 2b ), poly[m-(tetramethyldisilanylene)phenylene] ( 2c ), and poly[m-(1,2-dimethyldiphenyldisilanylene)phenylene] ( 2d ) were prepared by the sodium condensation reaction of the corresponding 1,2-and 1,3-bis (chlorosilyl)benzenes in toluene. Irradiation of thin films of 2a-2d in air resulted in a rapid decrease of absorption maxima in the ultraviolet region. The photolysis of 2b and 2d in benzene afforded photodegradation products with low molecular weights. When thin films of 2b and 2d were doped with antimony pentafluoride vapor, films which have conductivities of semi-conductor level were obtained. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Coprecipitation first with magnesium hydroxide, next with tin(IV) hydroxide is developed for the determination of traces of beryllium in sea-water. To a 200-ml sample is added a sodium hydroxide solution to form magnesium hydroxide at pH 11.5, on which beryllium is quantitatively coprecipitated. The precipitate is separated by centrifugation and dissolved in 2 ml of 12 mol/l hydrochloric acid. The resulting solution (ca. 10 ml) is mixed with 2 mg of tin (IV) carrier and the pH is adjusted to 5.0 to collect the beryllium on tin (IV) hydroxide, leaving magnesium ions in the solution. The tin (IV) hydroxide is centrifuged, dissolved in 0.1 ml of 5 mol/l hydrobromic acid, and then diluted to 1 ml with water. Magnesium is so added as to be 500 g/ml for increasing the sensitivity about four times, and the beryllium in the solution is determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The experiments with synthetic seawater samples showed that pg — g amounts of beryllium can be coprecipitated on the metal hydroxides and beryllium at the low ng/1 level can be determined with reasonable precision (RSD < 10%). The detection limit of the proposed method is 0.5 ng/l of beryllium in seawater.  相似文献

-Cyclodextrin with two sodium anthranilate moieties (1) has been prepared as a sensor for detecting organic compounds including terpenoids and steroids. Compound1 shows a pure monomer fluorescence whose intensity is increased or decreased upon addition of the guest species examined. In this system, the sodium anthranilate moieties act either as a spacer, which enables the cyclodextrin to form a 1:1 host-guest complex by narrowing the -cyclodextrin cavity, or as a hydrophobic cap.1 recognizes steroids with much higher sensitivity than terpenoids, in which the appended moieties act as a hydrophobic cap for terpenoids and a spacer for steroids, respectively.  相似文献

Nitrosation of 3-methoxyphenol and 1-naphthol were examined under both acidic (NaNO(2)-EtCO(2)H-H(2)O) and basic (i-AmNO(2)-K(2)CO(3)-DMF) conditions. Acidic nitrosations afforded ortho-directed products, whereas para-directed nitrosations were observed under basic conditions to yield p-quinone monooximes. The basic para-directed nitrosation was further examined using 15 phenols, two naphthols, and four phenolic heterocyclics. A one-pot operation of the basic nitrosation followed by methylation with dimethyl sulfate gave the corresponding methyl ethers in high yield. Two p-quinone monooximes derived from 3-methoxyphenol and 8-hydroxyquinoline showed a moderate activity against HSV-1, and the latter oxime was also effective against HSV-2. On the other hand, p-quinone monooximes derived from methyl salicylate, 1-naphthol, 7-hydroxy-2-methylbenzo[b]furan, and 8-hydroxycoumarin showed the comparable activity to that of DDI against HIV-1.  相似文献

A powerful and accurate numerical three‐dimensional integration scheme was developed especially for molecular orbital calculations. A multicenter integral is decomposed into the sum of single‐center integrals using nuclear weight functions and calculated using Gaussian quadrature rules. The decomposed single‐center integrands show strong anisotropy. With a careful selection of the Gaussian quadrature rule according to the anisotropy, it is possible to obtain an accuracy of 13 digits with a small number of integration points for the overlap integrals, normalization integrals, and molecular integrals for the hydrogen molecule. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Nitrogen adsorption isotherms for fluorinated activated carbon fiber (F-ACF) and fluorinated carbon black (F-CB) were measured at 77 K. Surface structures of F-ACF and F-CB were examined by s -plot analysis using the adsorption data on the nonporous carbon black (CB) and F-CB. The surface energy of F-ACF was lower than that of ACF. The micropore structure of ACF was preserved even after fluorination, although the limiting adsorption amount and the micropore width decreased with fluorination.  相似文献

The adsorption affinity of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and lysozyme (LSZ) to calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHAP) was evaluated by desorption and two step adsorption methods. These experiments were carried out at 15°C in a 1×10−4 mol dm−3 KCl solution of pH 6.0. BSA molecules were scarcely desorbed, exhibiting an irreversible adsorption of BSA, though LSZ slightly desorbed. This result supports our previous findings that LSZ adsorbs weakly onto phosphate ions exposed on ac or bc faces of CaHAP while BSA adsorbs strongly onto positively charged sites on ac or bc faces of CaHAP. The amount of adsorbed LSZ was markedly increased by the pre-adsorption of BSA, where LSZ was adsorbed onto BSA-covered CaHAP. On the other hand, the amount of adsorbed BSA was not changed by the pre-adsorption of LSZ. In both pre-adsorption systems it was confirmed by an HPLC method that no protein molecule pre-adsorbed was desorbed after the post-adsorption procedure. Therefore, it was interpreted that the enhancement of adsorption of positively charged LSZ is induced by an electrostatic attractive force through pre-adsorption of negatively charged BSA molecules with a high coverage. However, since the coverage of LSZ onto CaHAP is considerably low, no stimulation of BSA adsorption occurred on the LSZ-covered surface. The formation of double protein adsorbed layers consisting of pre- and post-adsorbed proteins was proposed.  相似文献

Alternating polymers, poly[(disilanylene)ethynylene]s and poly[(1, 2-diethynylenedisilanylene)(1-silacyclopenta-2, 4-diene-3, 4-diyl)]s were prepared by the anionic ring-opening polymerization of 1, 2, 5, 6-tetrasilacycloocta-3, 7-diynes and 4, 5, 10-trisilacyclo[6.3.0]undeca-1(11), 8-diene-2, 6-diynes, respectively. Poly[(disilanylene)butenyne-1, 4-diyl]s were synthesized by the reaction of 1, 2-diethynyldisilanes with a catalytic amount of RhCl(PPh3)3. Photochemical and conducting properties of the polymers are described.  相似文献
