[graph: see text] 1-(Beta-D-galactopyranosyl-1'-deoxy-1'-iminomethyl)-2-hydroxynaphthalene (L1), possessing an ONO binding core, was found to be selective for Cu2+ ions in N-[2-hydroxyethyl]piperazine-N'-[2-ethanesulfonic acid] buffer, at concentrations < or = 580 ppb, at physiological pH by eliciting switch-on behavior, whereas the other ions, viz., Mg2+, Ca2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, and Cd2+, caused no significant change in the fluorescence. The electrical, structural, and photoelectrochemical properties of the polymer electrolyte PEO:NaI/I2 doped with an ionic liquid 1-ethyl 3-methylimidazolium dicyanamide (EMImDCN) have been reported. Incorporation of the ionic
liquid (IL) increases the membrane homogeneity, decreased surface roughness, and enhances the short current (J
sc). Additionally, the doping of IL provides more charge carriers which enhances overall ionic conductivity (σ). The optimized
σ was found at 40 wt.% IL composition. The fabricated DSSC using this new solid electrolyte showed 1.43% efficiency at 100 mW

The catalytic enantioselective hydroamination–hydroarylation of alkynes under the catalysis of (R3P)AuMe/(S)‐3,3′‐bis(2,4,6‐triisopropylphenyl)‐1,1′‐binaphthyl‐2,2′‐diyl hydrogenphosphate ((S)‐TRIP) is reported. The alkyne was reacted with a range of pyrrole‐based aromatic amines to give pyrrole‐embedded aza‐heterocyclic scaffolds bearing a quaternary carbon center. The presence of a hydroxyl group in the alkyne tether turned out to be very crucial for obtaining products in high yields and enantioselectivities. Reported is the first organocatalytic asymmetric 1,3‐alkyl shift in alkyl aryl ethers for the synthesis of chiral 3,3′‐diaryloxindoles using a chiral Brønsted acid catalyst. We report here the synthesis of nickel hexacyanoferrate (NiHCF) crystals using calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) as a template. The double-stranded CT-DNA has been used as a template to self-assemble NiHCF crystals and to produce aggregates having different morphologies at different temperatures. The guided self-assembly behavior of DNA was studied at different temperatures by scanning electron microscopy. The cube-shaped crystals of NiHCF with an average diameter of 400 nm are observed along the DNA framework at room temperature; however, at higher temperatures, the morphology of NiHCF changed from open tubular to dendrimer. The intermediate temperatures show long chains (up to many micrometers) and spherical structures of NiHCF crystals. The micrometer long DNA template plays a key role in the formation of extended arrays of NiHCF crystals, suggesting that the templating action is retained even at the higher temperatures. 相似文献

Asymmetrical delivery of stimuli to moving cells for perturbing spatially-heterogeneous intracellular signaling is an experimental challenge not adequately met by existing technologies. Here, we report a robust microfluidic platform allowing localized treatment of the front and/or back of moving cells which crawl through narrow channels that they completely occlude. The enabling technical element for this study is a novel design for precise, passive balancing of flow inside the microfluidic device by contacting two fluid streams before splitting them again. The microchannels constrain cell morphology and induce qualitative and quantitative changes in neutrophil chemotaxis that mimic cells crawling through tissues. 相似文献

A galactosyl-naphthyl-imine-based derivative, 1-(beta-D-galactopyranosyl-1'-deoxy-1'-iminomethyl)-2-hydroxynaphthalene (GNI), and a galactosyl-naphthyl-amine-based derivative, 1-(galactopyranosyl-1'-deoxy-1'-aminomethyl)-2-hydroxynaphthalene (GNA), possessing an ONO binding core were studied for their recognition of naturally occurring amino acids using fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy, and the corresponding association constants were derived for the complexes formed. The complexes formed between GNI/GNA and amino acids were supported by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI/MS). The structures of the complexes were optimized by computational studies using density functional theory, and stabilization energies were computed for the complexes to substantiate the interactions present between GNI/GNA and amino acid. The interactions were found to be primarily hydrogen bonding in nature. These interactions are reminiscent of those present in the lectin-carbohydrate and glycosidase substrate. Thus, the carbohydrate moiety present in GNI shows high specificity toward the -COOH group of the amino acid, which may be relevant to such interactions present between the carbohydrates and the polypeptides. 相似文献
