Residual adsorptive activity of reversed phase (RP) column packings used in supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) can be significantly reduced by a dynamic in-situ silanization with diphenyltetramethyldisilazane (DPTMDS). RP-materials thus deactivated were characterized both chromatographically and by solid-phase 29Si NMR.  相似文献

We investigate the possibility of tailoring the electronic properties of isoreticular metal-organic materials by replacing the metal atom in the metal-organic cluster and by doping. The electronic structure of M-IRMOF1, where IRMOF1 stands for isoreticular metal-organic framework 1 and M = Be, Mg, Ca, Zn, and Cd, was examined using density-functional theory. The results show that these materials have similar band gaps (ca. 3.5 eV) and a conduction band that is split into two bands, the lower of which has a width that varies with metal substitution. This variation prompted us to investigate whether doping with Al or Li could be used to tailor the electronic properties of the Zn-IRMOF1 and Be-IRMOF1 materials. It is shown that replacing one metal atom with Al can effectively be used to create IRMOFs with different metallic properties. On the other hand, adding Li produces structural changes that render this approach less suitable.  相似文献

Abstract

The immobilization of the dinuclear platinum(II) sulfido complex [Pt2(μ-S)2 (PPh3)4] on solid supports has been investigated. Reaction with haloalkyl functionalized polymers [Merrifield's resin (chloromethylated polystyrene), chloropropyl silica, chloropropyl controlled pore glass, and bromopropyl polysiloxane] gives complexes immobilized through alkylation of one of the sulfide ligands, forming a μ-thiolate ligand acting as an anchor to the polymer support, akin to well-established reactions of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] with molecular alkylating agents. The model complex [Pt2(μ-S)(μ-SCH2SiMe3)(PPh3)4]PF6 was prepared as the first molecular silicon-containing derivative of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] and was fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy, electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Immobilization of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] by phosphine exchange reactions was also achieved using commercial polystyrene-grafted triphenylphosphine or a new immobilized phosphine [derived by sequential functionalization of Merrifield's resin with a polyether amine and then Ph2PCH2OH].  相似文献

Factors influencing the stereoisomeric resolution of underivatized dipeptides and a representative tripeptide on Crownpak (CR) columns have been investigated. The elution order and relative retention suggest that a combination of chiral, steric, and hydrophobic interactions effects the extent of chiral recognition and the retention achieved during separations. Some dipeptides whose amine terminus is located three atoms from the asymmetric center (such as dipeptides of D ,L -glycine) were resolved, but the elution order was the opposite of that expected for the type of Crownpak column used (CR(+)). Peptides containing hydrophobic substituents were strongly retained, but their retention times could be significantly reduced, and detectability improved, by use of gradient elution. Analysis of a commercial sample of D ,L -leucine-D ,L -alanine revealed the stereoisomers to be present in an unexpected quantitative ratio and demonstrated the utility of these separations for quality assurance and quantitative analyses.  相似文献

High resolution 1H magic angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra have been obtained on typical C18 bonded silicas used in chromatographic solid-phase extraction separations. It has been shown for the first time that water molecules distributed in distinct physico-chemical environments within the chromatographic system can be detected directly using a simple 1H MAS NMR measurement. The resonances assigned to water protons in differing physico-chemical environments have distinct chemical shifts, line widths, relaxation times (T1 and T2) and also exhibit temperature dependent coalescence behaviour. This novel MAS approach may lead to a better understanding of the environments of other analytes in mixtures during such separations.  相似文献

In this paper, work on a new model,an augmented ribbon model, for describing a number of features of primary, secondary, and super-secondary protein structure in a qualitative but mathematically rigorous way is discussed. The structural features that can be treated by the model include connectivity, directionality, chirality, orientation, and proximity which, in many cases, are difficult to deal with using more traditional structural representations (e.g. wireframe, ball-and-stick, or space-filling CPK). In practice, the information encoded in the augmented ribbon model is represented by a labelled, directed graph (digraph) which provides an efficient means for storing and analyzing the information on computers. This opens the way to computer-based analyses of proteins and for the application of similarity methods that have been shown to be quite useful in treating small molecules.  相似文献

The specific additions of one, three or four Ph3PAu groups to [M(CO)5] (M=Mn, Re) are described. Thus [M(CO)5] in THF reacts with [(Ph3PAu)3O]BF4 to give [(Ph3PAu)4Mn(CO)4]BF4. An X-ray crystal structure of the M = Mn example shows the cation to have a trigonal bipyramidal Au4Mn core with the Mn in an equatorial site. The previously known neutral (Ph3PAu)3M(CO)4 clusters are formed by addition of two Ph3PAu groups, using the mixed reagent [(Ph3PAu) 3O]BF4/[ppn][Co(CO)4], to Ph3PAuM(CO)5, which itself is readily prepared from [M(CO)5] and Ph3PAuCl.  相似文献
