Semimicroscopic description of giant octupole resonances in deformed nuclei

The strength functions b(E3, ω) are calculated, and the positions and widths of giant octupole resonances in deformed nuclei are found. It is shown that the giant octupole isoscalar resonances have energies (19–20) MeV for the rare-earth nuclei and (17–18) MeV for the actinides and the widths (5–7) MeV. The energies of the giant octupole isovector resonances are defined by the value of the isovector constant κ⁽³⁾₁.     

Order function for almost all numbers

For almost all pointsξ? R^m (m≥2) the inequality $$\sup {\text{ }}ln \frac{1}{{|P (\xi )|}} \ll (ln u)^{m + 2} ,$$ is valid, where the upper bound is taken over all nonzero polynomials P for which $$\exp {\text{ }}(\deg {\text{ }}P){\text{ }}L{\text{ }}(P) \leqslant u,$$ where L(P) is the sum of the moduli of the coefficients of P. When m=1 the exponent of the right side is equal to 2.     

Excited classical oscillators under conditions of differing lifetime in the interaction space

The article considers the mechanism of interaction between oscillators and a high-frequency field, associated with differing lifetime of particles in the interaction space as a result of the fact that the drift velocity of the oscillators depends on their energy.
