Homogeneous 40.0 MgO-(10-x) PbF2-50.0 SiO2: x CuO glasses were prepared using melt-quenching technique under controlled conditions. Spectroscopic studies (UV-vis absorption, ESR, FT-IR) are carried out for these glasses. One broad characteristic visible absorption band is observed around 700-850 nm in these glasses, the optical band gap decreases as the content of the CuO increases in the glass network up to 0.7 mol % then reversal trend is observed. ESR spectra of all these glasses show resonance peaks characteristic of Cu2+ ions and hyperfine splitting is resolved with increasing the CuO content in the glass network. From the observed ESR spectra, the spin-Hamiltonian parameters have been evaluated and indicate that Cu2+ ions have octahedral coordination with a strong tetragonal distortion in these glasses. By correlating ESR and optical absorption data, the molecular orbital coefficients have been evaluated. FT-IR spectra give important information about the nature of bonds in the glass matrix. The density of the glasses is also measured and is found to decrease with the increase CuO contents in the glass matrix. The physical parameters along with spectroscopic parameters are measured.  相似文献

This paper describes the design of a large sized diamond window for 1 MW, 170 GHz gyrotron. The diameter and the thickness of the diamond window are 80 mm and 1.482 mm, respectively, whose edge is directly cooled by water. The CST microwave studio has been used for the S-parameter, and finite element analysis code ANSYS has been used for the thermal and the structural simulation. The return loss (S11) and insertion loss (S21) of the 170 GHz gyrotron window have been found −39.80 dB and −0.011 dB, respectively. The thermal and structural analysis of RF window the 397 K temperature at disk center and maximum displacement 0.01 mm has been found in the window disk during the thermal analysis.  相似文献

Properties of water in the hydration layer around a protein is intimately correlated with its function. A knowledge of the thickness of the hydration layer is important to understand its role in guiding the folding-unfolding of the protein. We have performed atomistic molecular dynamics simulations of the folded native and a partially unfolded molten globule structure of the villin headpiece subdomain or HP-36 in aqueous solution to estimate the effect of unfolding on the thickness of hydration layer around different segments of the protein. In particular, several dynamic properties of water around different segments of the folded native and the unfolded structure have been calculated by varying the thickness of the hydration layers. It is found that unfolding of a segment of the protein is correlated with the dynamics of water around it, i.e., within the first hydration layer. The effect of unfolding on water properties has been found to diminish when water molecules present beyond the first hydration layer were included in the calculations.   相似文献

We present a spherically symmetric solution of the general relativistic field equations in isotropic coordinates for perfect charged fluid, compatible with a super dense star modeling. The solution is well behaved for all the values of Schwarzschild parameter u lying in the range 0 < u < 0.1727 for the maximum value of charge parameter K = 0.08163. The maximum mass of the fluid distribution is calculated by using stellar surface density as ρ b = 4.6888×1014g cm?3. Corresponding to K = 0.08 and u max = 0.1732, the resulting well behaved solution has a maximum mass M = 0.9324M and radius R = 8.00 and by assuming ρ b = 2×1014g cm?3 the solution results a stellar configuration with maximum mass M = 1.43M and radius R b = 12.25 km. The maximum mass is found increasing with increasing K up to 0.08. The well behaved class of relativistic stellar models obtained in this work might has astrophysical significance in the study of internal structure of compact star such as neutron star or self-bound strange quark star like Her X-1.  相似文献

We derive the basic canonical brackets amongst the creation and annihilation operators for a two (1 + 1)- dimensional (2D) gauge field theoretic model of an interacting Hodge theory where a U(1) gauge field (Aμ) is coupled with the fermionic Dirac fields (ψ and ψ). In this derivation, we exploit the spin-statistics theorem, normal ordering and the strength of the underlying six infinitesimal continuous symmetries (and the concept of their generators) that are present in the theory. We do not use the definition of the canonical conjugate momenta (corresponding to the basic fields of the theory) anywhere in our whole discussion. Thus, we conjecture that our present approach provides an alternative to the canonical method of quantization for a class of gauge field theories that are physical examples of Hodge theory where the continuous symmetries (and corresponding generators) provide the physical realizations of the de Rham cohomological operators of differential geometry at the algebraic level.  相似文献

The optimal current difference lattice hydrodynamic model is extended to investigate the traffic flow dynamics on a unidirectional single lane gradient highway. The effect of slope on uphill/downhill highway is examined through linear stability analysis and shown that the slope significantly affects the stability region on the phase diagram.Using nonlinear stability analysis, the Burgers, Korteweg-deVries(KdV) and modified Korteweg-deVries(mKdV) equations are derived in stable, metastable and unstable region, respectively. The effect of reaction coefficient is examined and concluded that it plays an important role in suppressing the traffic jams on a gradient highway. The theoretical findings have been verified through numerical simulation which confirm that the slope on a gradient highway significantly influence the traffic dynamics and traffic jam can be suppressed efficiently by considering the optimal current difference effect in the new lattice model.  相似文献

We report an analysis on the hardness behavior of glassy Se80?xTe20Snx alloy. The crucial thermo-mechanical parameters (micro-hardness, volume and formation energy of micro-voids and the modulus of elasticity) are examined. The results indicate that the thermo-mechanical parameters are changed significantly after incorporation of Sn in glassy Se80Te20 alloy.  相似文献

Herein we present results on the femtosecond laser direct writing and optical characterization studies of two dimensional gratings in fused silica, GE 124, and Foturan glasses. Varieties of structures were achieved with varying input energy and spatial orientation of the samples. Various characterization techniques including fluorescence spectroscopy, micro-Raman spectroscopy, and laser confocal microscopy were employed to analyze the structural and physical modifications at the focal volume resulting in change of refractive index. Diffraction efficiencies of 9–12% were observed from the grating structures. A broad-band emission was observed in the laser-modified region of the Foturan glass. The obtained results are analyzed in the light of recent work in similar glasses and exploring the applications of such structures in the fields of photonics.  相似文献

CoxZnyFe3−xyO4 ferrite (x=1 to 0; y=0 to1) nanocrystals have been synthesized by reverse microemulsion method. The nanocrystals are then comprehensively characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Field emission transmission electron microscopy (FETEM), and magnetic properties were measured by using Vibrating sample magnetometer. X-ray analysis showed that all the crystals were cubic spinel. The lattice constant increased with the increase in Zn substitution. FETEM reveals that particle size varies in the range from 3 to 6 nm. As the concentration of Zn increases the magnetic behavior varies from ferromagnetic at y=0 and 0.2 to superparamagnetic to paramagnetic at y=1. The Curie temperature decreases with increasing concentration of Zn.  相似文献

2 MeV protons and 1 MeV carbon ions are bombarded on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) samples and their electronic transport measurements are carried out in the presence of magnetic field. The Magneto-Resistance (MR) measurements show measurable hysteresis in the resistance value after ion beam irradiation for the in-plane magnetic field direction as well as for the out-of-plane field direction. The MR depends on the thickness of the flake and the method of its separation from the bulk HOPG. The results substantiate that the ferromagnetic coupling between the magnetic moments at the vacancy defect sites in HOPG sensitively depends on the average defect separation. The average defect separation range of 1.7–0.5 nm allows only a part of the 40 μm thick proton beam irradiated sample to go for ferromagnetic ordering. Similar conclusions are drawn from carbon ion irradiated HOPG flake. The irradiation increases the resistance of the flake as well.  相似文献
