In the context of the minimal seesaw framework, we discuss the implications of Dirac and Majorana mass matrices in which two properties coexist, namely, equalities among matrix elements and texture zeros. Among the large number of general possibilities, only 12 patterns are found to be consistent with the global neutrino oscillation data at the level of the most minimal number of free parameters. The predictions of the allowed textures for mass hierarchy, θ13 and effective mass governing neutrino-less double beta decay are discussed. We also explore the possibility of having non-zero CP violation for each allowed solution. We find that only one allowed solution can accommodate both low and high energy CP violation. We discuss the prediction of this solution for leptogenesis and explore the correlation, between leptogenesis and low energy CP violation. 相似文献

Nanocrystalline AlN thin films were prepared via DC sputtering technique at different substrate temperature. The crystal orientation
and particle size of aluminum nitride thin films were investigated by XRD analysis. Study indicated that the sample contained
pure phase hexagonal AlN nanoparticles with a single peak corresponding to the (100) planes. The peak at 665 cm−1 in the FTIR spectrum of film was assigned to the LO phonon of hexagonal AlN. The particle size of the film, prepared at substrate
temperature 200°C was about 9.5 nm, as investigated by atomic force microscope. Field emission study indicated that it can
be used as a good field emitter. Turn-on field (Eto) of 15.02 V/μm was observed for the AlN films synthesized at substrate temperature 200°C. Dielectric constant of the AlN
film was found nearly independent of frequencies in the measured frequency range 1 KHz to 1 MHz, i.e. in the audio frequency range. The values of dielectric constant (ε) were 10.07, 9.46 and 8.65 for the film prepared at 70°C, 150°C and 200°C, respectively, at frequency 1 KHz. 相似文献

Syntheses, spectroscopic, electrochemical, and third-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities of a series of 22pi smaragdyrins and their corresponding Rh(I) derivatives bearing phenylacetylene substituents and ferrocene-containing substituents are reported. The synthetic strategy involved a [3 + 2] acid-catalyzed oxidative coupling reaction of the appropriate dipyrromethane and oxatripyrrane. The desired meso substituents, such as phenylacetylenylphenyl and the ferrocenes, were incorporated to the dipyrromethane unit prior to the oxidative coupling reaction. The optical absorption, emission characteristics, and the quantum yield of the smaragdyrin conjugates depends on the nature of the substituent, nature of linker group, and the spacer length. Theoretical studies at the DFT level suggest high delocalization of electrons confined to only four of the five available heterocyclic rings for the free bases. However, upon Rh(I) metalation, the pi-electron delocalization is extended to all the heterocyclic rings. The two-photon absorption cross section (TPA) values sigma(2) measured through the open aperture Z-scan method, increases linearly with enhanced pi-electron delocalization for the smaragdyrins containing phenylacetylene substituents. The meta branching of substituents decreases sigma(2) values. Introduction of Rh(I) to the smaragdyrin cavity enhances the sigma(2) values by about 3-10 orders of magnitude, attributed to the increased aromatic character upon Rh(I) insertion. The calculated molecular electrostatic potential (MESP) and harmonic oscillator model of aromaticity (HOMA) for the free bases and the Rh(I) derivatives justifies such a conclusion. A linear correlation observed for the second oxidation potential of Rh(I) derivatives and corresponding free bases also support the increased aromaticity upon Rh(I) insertion. The electrochemical data for ferrocene-containing smaragdyrins reveal easier ring oxidation by about 50-130 mV and harder ferrocene oxidation by 40-180 mV suggesting electron-donating nature of the ferrocene upon linking with the smaragdyrin system. The TPA cross section value of 88782 GM observed for 5g represents one of the highest values known for a metalloexpanded porphyrin derivative. 相似文献

We investigate here quantum effects in gravitational collapse of a scalar field model which classically leads to a naked singularity. We show that nonperturbative semiclassical modifications near the singularity, based on loop quantum gravity, give rise to a strong outward flux of energy. This leads to the dissolution of the collapsing cloud before the singularity can form. Quantum gravitational effects thus censor naked singularities by avoiding their formation. Further, quantum gravity induced mass flux has a distinct feature which may lead to a novel observable signature in astrophysical bursts. 相似文献

Terbinafine, a widely used antifungal drug, is a challenging molecule for quantitative bioanalysis due to certain factors contributing assay variability. Despite previous attempts at human plasma determination of terbinafine, exhaustive stability of the drug or an internal standard was lacking. Internal standard stability with negligible variation throughout the analysis is an indicator of a reliable bioanalytical method as the majority of LC–MS/MS assays are based on analyte/IS response ratios for quantitation. A newly developed high‐throughput simple LC‐MS/MS method is described for human plasma determination of terbinafine using naftifine internal standard and eluting all compounds within 2 min. A solid‐phase extraction of terbinafine achieving mean recovery of 84.3% (CV < 4%) without compromising sensitivity (limit of quantitation 5.11 ng/mL) or linearity (5.11–3014.19 ng/mL) is delineated in this paper. A heated nebulizer in positive multiple reaction monitoring mode was employed with transitions m/z 292.2 →141.1 and 288.2 →117.0 for terbinafine and naftifine, respectively, resulting in excellent chromatographic separation on a Hypurity Advance (50 × 4.6 mm, 5 µm) column. The developed method was successfully applied to clinical samples and for the first time demonstrated marked improved extraction efficiency and reliable long‐term plasma stability results without any internal standard response variation during the entire course of study.
