We propose and experimentally demonstrate a 40 Gb/s secure optical communication system with on-off-keying (OOK) modulation format by using a time domain spectral phase en/decoding scheme, which employs a highly dispersive element and high-speed phase modulator for introducing significant symbol overlapping for both the encoded and incorrectly decoded noiselike signals to enhance the information security against eavesdropping using a power detector. The influence of dispersion and chip modulation rate on the symbol overlapping of the incorrectly decoded signal has been analytically investigated and experimentally verified. Security enhancement for 40 Gb/s OOK data using fast reconfigurable 40 Gchip/s optical codes with code lengths of up to 1024 has been demonstrated and compared with a 10 Gb/s system. 相似文献

Magnetite particles were synthesized through a process including dissolution of Fe(OH)2 and precipitation of an oxidized phase in aqueous solution. The Fe3+ ion was added at the beginning of the synthesis to accelerate the formation of magnetite, control the particle size and improve the monodispersibility. It was found that the addition of Fe3+ ion affected the nucleation and the formation of magnetite particles significantly. Magnetite nanoparticles with small particle size and narrow size distribution were obtained. Furthermore, high magnetic properties were obtained in small particle size. The particle size and magnetic properties increased through the increase of Fe2+/Fe3+ ratio. 相似文献

End‐functionalized poly(phenylacetylene)s were synthesized by the polymerization of phenylacetylene (PA) using the well‐defined palladium catalysts represented as [(dppf)PdBr(R)] {dppf = 1,1′‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene}. The Pd catalysts having a series of R groups such as o‐tolyl, mesityl, C(Ph)?CPh2, C6H4‐o‐CH2OH, C6H4‐p‐CN, and C6H4‐p‐NO2 in conjunction with silver triflate polymerized PA to give end‐functionalized poly(PA)s bearing the corresponding R groups in high yields. The results of IR and NMR spectroscopies and MALDI‐TOF mass analyses proved the introduction of these R groups at one end of each polymer chain. The poly(PA) bearing a hydroxy end group was applied as a macroinitiator to the synthesis of a block copolymer composed of poly(PA) and poly(β‐propiolactone) moieties. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beams of various higher-order radial modes are generated by using a reflective phase-only liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) spatial light modulator (SLM). Because of the LCOS SLM's phase-modulation characteristic of a wide spatial bandwidth, a phase modulation scheme effectively generates higher-order LG beams of up to the fifth-order radial mode. We also perform correlation analyses between the observed and the theoretical two-dimensional mode profiles to universally obtain correlation coefficients of more than 0.946, which suggest mode generations of high quality. 相似文献

A direct aldol reaction of an α‐azido 7‐azaindolinylamide, promoted by a Cu‐based cooperative catalyst, is documented. Aromatic aldehydes bearing an ortho substituent exhibited diastereodivergency depending on the nature of the chiral ligands used. Smooth reactions with ynals highlighted the broad substrate scope. A vicinal azido alcohol unit in the product allowed direct access to the corresponding aziridine and facile hydrolysis of the 7‐azaindolinylamide moiety furnished enantioenriched β‐hydroxy‐α‐azido carboxylic acid derivatives. 相似文献

Self‐organization plays an imperative role in recent materials science. Highly tunable, periodic structures based on dynamic self‐organization at micrometer scales have proven difficult to design, but are desired for the further development of micropatterning. In the present study, we report a microgroove array that spontaneously forms on a p‐type silicon surface during its electrodissolution. Our detailed experimental results suggest that the instability can be classified as Turing instability. The characteristic scale of the Turing‐type pattern is small compared to self‐organized patterns caused by the Turing instabilities reported so far. The mechanism for the miniaturization of self‐organized patterns is strongly related to the semiconducting property of silicon electrodes as well as the dynamics of their surface chemistry. 相似文献

Bacteriochlorophyll (BChl) e was coassembled with BChl c in Triton X‐100 micelles in aqueous solutions. The Qy absorption bands of the coaggregates were positioned between those of aggregates consisting solely of BChl c or e. The electronic absorption spectra of the coaggregates could not be reproduced by linear combinations of the spectra of the aggregates consisting solely of each pigment, but they were in line with the simulated spectra for the self‐aggregates in which both BChls were randomly distributed. These suggest that BChls c and e are not spatially separated; they are homogenously distributed over the self‐aggregates to give electronic spectra that are different from those of the aggregate consisting solely of each pigment. Deaggregation of the scrambled self‐aggregates by excess Triton X‐100 did not produce any spectral components assigned to an aggregate consisting solely of either BChl c or e. Acid‐induced decomposition of the scrambled aggregates showed different kinetics from those of the aggregates consisting solely of each pigment. These also support the homogeneous distribution of BChls c and e in the scrambled self‐aggregates. These results will be useful to investigate the major light‐harvesting antenna systems of green photosynthetic bacteria that contain two kinds of chlorosomal BChls. 相似文献

A high-spin ground state is possible if a molecule has degenerate or pseudo-degenerate frontier orbitals. Since strong vibronic couplings, or electron-vibration interactions give rise to reduce the degeneracy or pseudo degeneracy, a lower-spin state is the ground state in such a molecule. Therefore small vibronic couplings are desirable for designing molecules with a high-spin ground state. Vibronic coupling constants of derivatives of m-phenylene diamine are evaluated. The calculated results are analyzed based on vibronic coupling density which enables us to control the vibronic coupling constants. Based on the vibronic coupling density analysis, we succeed in recovering the high-spin ground state from the closed-shell singlet ground state of a methoxy derivative of m-phenylene diamine by introducing an appropriate substituent. 相似文献

Enzyme-catalyzed signal amplification was introduced to the electrochemical detection of the OH radical. In the presence of phenol as a trapping agent, glucose as a substrate, and pyrroloquinoline quinone-containing glucose dehydrogenase (PQQ-GDH) as a catalyst, the current signal for the trapping adducts (catechol and hydroquinone) produced by the hydroxylation of phenol could be amplified and detected sensitively. The limit of detection (S/N = 3) for catechol was 8 nM. The trapping efficiency of phenol was also estimated. 相似文献
