In this paper, we present a study for a nonlinear problem governed by the biharmonic equation in the plane. Using Green’s formula, the problem is converted into a system of nonlinear integral equations for the unknown data of the boundary. Invasion of melanoma cells from the primary tumor involves interaction with adjacent tissues and extracellular matrix. The extent of this interaction is not fully understood. In this study Raman spectroscopy was applied to cryo-sections of established 3D models of melanoma in human skin. Principal component analysis was used to investigate differences between the tumor and normal tissue and between the peri-tumor area and the normal skin. Two human melanoma cells lines A375SM and C8161 were investigated and compared in 3D melanoma models. Changes were found in protein conformations and tryptophan configurations across the entire melanoma samples, in tyrosine orientation and in more fluid lipid packing only in tumor dense areas, and in increased glycogen content in the peri-tumor areas of melanoma. Raman spectroscopy revealed changes around the perimeter of a melanoma tumor as well as detecting differences between the tumor and the normal tissue. 相似文献

This paper utilizes Hurst exponent to study the persistency of meteorological parameters individually and dependency of rainfall/precipitation on pressure and temperature using climate predictability index. For the purpose, daily averages of surface pressure and temperature and daily total rainfall data for a period of 7 years for three locations and 14 years for seven locations has been utilized. The Hurst exponents (H) for above mentioned meteorological parameters were calculated using rescaled range analysis (R/S) and absolute moments methods. These H values were used to calculate the fractal dimension D for pressure, temperature and rainfall data. Finally, these D’s were used to calculate the climate predictability index PIC in terms of pressure predictability index (PIP), temperature predictability index (PIT) and rainfall predictability index (PIR). The Hurst exponent analysis showed that H values for rainfall, relative humidity and wind speed time series data for all the stations were >0.5 which is indicative of persistence behavior of the parameters on the previous values while for pressure and temperature H values were <0.5 means anti-persistence behavior. The climate predictability index showed that in most of the cases the rainfall was dependent on both pressure and temperature predictability indices. In some cases it was more dependent on pressure index than the temperature and in some cases otherwise. In Saudi Arabia there is no prevalent or established rainy season and the present analysis could not result into concrete results. It is therefore recommended to analyze the data by breaking the entire data set into seasons and further into different years. 相似文献

Brain tumours have unresolved challenges that include delay prognosis and lower patient survival rate. The increased understanding of the molecular pathways underlying cancer progression has aided in developing various anticancer medications. Brain cancer is the most malignant and invasive type of cancer, with several subtypes. According to the WHO, they are classified as ependymal tumours, chordomas, gangliocytomas, medulloblastomas, oligodendroglial tumours, diffuse astrocytomas, and other astrocytic tumours on the basis of their heterogeneity and molecular mechanisms. The present study is based on the most recent research trends, emphasising glioblastoma cells classified as astrocytoma. Brain cancer treatment is hindered by the failure of drugs to cross the blood–brain barrier (BBB), which is highly impregnableto foreign molecule entry. Moreover, currently available medications frequently fail to cross the BBB, whereas chemotherapy and radiotherapy are too expensive to be afforded by an average incomeperson and have many associated side effects. When compared to our current understanding of molecularly targeted chemotherapeutic agents, it appears that investigating the efficacy of specific phytochemicals in cancer treatment may be beneficial. Plants and their derivatives are game changers because they are efficacious, affordable, environmentally friendly, faster, and less toxic for the treatment of benign and malignant tumours. Over the past few years, nanotechnology has made a steady progress in diagnosing and treating cancers, particularly brain tumours. This article discusses the effects of phytochemicals encapsulated in nanoparticles on molecular targets in brain tumours, along with their limitations and potential challenges. 相似文献

Reaction of two equivalents of the bulky 1,3-bis(2,6-diethylphenyl)thiourea ligand (L) with MX (being M = Cu+, Ag+; and X = Cl−, Br−, I−) in acetonitrile afforded neutral complexes of the type [MXL2] [CuClL2].2CH3CN (1a); [CuBrL2].2CH3CN (1b); [CuIL2] (1c): [AgClL2] (2a); [AgBrL2] (2b) and [AgIL2] (2c). The two aromatic groups in free ligand were found to be trans with respect to the thiourea unit, which was a reason to link the ligand molecules via intermolecular hydrogen bonding. Intramolecular hydrogen bonding was observed in all metal complexes. The copper complexes 1a and 1b are acetonitrile solvated and show not only intra- but also intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the coordinated thiourea and the solvated acetonitrile molecules. Silver complexes reported here are the first examples of structurally characterized tricoordinated thiourea-stabilized monomeric silver(I) halides. Molecular docking studies were carried out to analyze the binding modes of the metal complexes inside the active site of the human insulin (HI) protein. Analysis of the docked conformations revealed that the electrostatic and aromatic interactions of the protein N-terminal residues (i.e., Phe and His) may assist in anchoring and stabilizing the metal complexes inside the active site. According to the results of docking studies, the silver complexes exhibited the strongest inhibitory capability against the HI protein, which possesses a deactivating group, directly bonded to silver. All compounds were fully characterized by elemental analysis, NMR spectroscopy, and molecular structures of the ligand, and five out of six metal complexes were also confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 相似文献

3D concrete printing (3DCP) is an emerging additive manufacturing technology in the construction industry. Its challenges lie in the development of high-performance printable materials and printing processes. Recently developed carbon-based nanomaterials (CBNs) such as graphene, graphene oxide, graphene nanoplatelets, and carbon nanotubes, have various applications due to their exceptional mechanical, chemical, thermal, and electrical characteristics. CBNs also have found potential applications as a concrete ingredient as they enhance the microstructure and modify concrete properties at the molecular level. This paper focuses on state-of-the-art studies on CBNs, 3DCP technology, and CBNs in conventional and 3D printable cement-based composites including CBN dispersion techniques, concrete mixing methods, and fresh and hardened properties of concrete. Furthermore, the current limitations and future perspectives of 3DCP using CBNs to produce high-quality composite mixtures are discussed. 相似文献

Ynamides/arylynamines are challenging substrates for oxyacetoxylation, especially due to various reactive sites of the N-heteroaryl ring. Herein, we report a metal-free PhI(OAc)2-mediated oxyacetoxylation of arylynamines/ynamides to provide α-acetoxyl amides in good to excellent yields. The transformation completes in a short time to afford solely the product in a highly regio- and chemo-selective manner through β-iodo keteneiminium intermediate, without functionalising the N-heteroaryl moiety. 相似文献
