The design, synthesis and properties of liquid-crystalline semiconducting oligothiophenes containing dithienothiophene (DTT), benzothiadiazole (BTZ) and carbazole (CBZ) rigid cores are described. The effect of molecular structure (shape, size and substitution) on their thermal behaviour and electrical properties has been investigated. Polarised optical microscopy (POM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses have revealed highly ordered smectic mesophases for most of the newly synthesised compounds. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies performed at various temperatures have shown that the smectic order is retained in the crystalline state upon cooling across the transition temperature, affording cast films with a more favourable morphology for FET applications.  相似文献

Three reliable, rapid and selective methods have been developed and validated for the determination of lamotrigine in the presence of its impurity, 2,3-dichlorobenzoic acid. The first method is spectrophotometric method using p-chloranilic acid forming a colored product with lambda(max) 519+/-2 nm. All variables affecting the reaction have been investigated and the conditions were optimized. Beer's law was obeyed over a concentration range of 10-200 microg ml(-1) with mean accuracy 100.13+/-0.44%. The molar ratio of the formed ion-association complex is found to be 1 : 1 as deduced by Job's method. The conditional stability constant (K(f)), standard free energy (DeltaG), molar absorptivity(epsilon), and sensitivity index were evaluated. The second method is based on TLC separation of the cited drug (Rf=0.75+/-0.01) from its impurity (Rf=0.23+/-0.01) followed by densitometric measurement of the intact drug spots at 275 nm. The separation was carried on silica gel plates using ethyl acetate : methanol : ammonia 35% (17 : 2 : 1 v/v/v) as a mobile phase. The linearity range was 0.5-10 microg/spot with mean accuracy 99.99+/-1.33%. The third method is accurate and sensitive stability-indicating HPLC method based on separation of lamotrigine from its impurity on a reversed phase C(18) column, using a mobile phase of acetonitrile : methanol : 0.01 M potassium orthophosphate (pH 6.7+/-0.1) (30 : 20 : 50 v/v/v) at ambient temperature 25+/-5 degrees C and UV detection at 275 nm in an overall analysis time of about 6 min., based on peak area. The injection repeatability, intraday and interday repeatability were calculated. The procedure provided a linear response over the concentration range 1-12 microg ml(-1) with mean accuracy of 99.50+/-1.30%. The proposed methods were successfully applied for the determination of lamotrigine in bulk powder, in dosage form and in presence of its impurity. The results obtained were analyzed by ANOVA to assess that no significant difference between each of the three methods and the reported one. The validation was performed according to USP guidelines.  相似文献

Indium tin oxide (ITO) substrates were modified with a layer of poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimers to change their surface properties and, in particular, the substrates' work function. The functionalization procedure involved the electrostatic adsorption of positively charged PAMAM dendrimers of generation five onto negatively polarized ITO surfaces. Three different PAMAM dendrimers were used: PAMAM-NH2 and PAMAM-OH with terminal amine and hydroxyl groups, respectively, as well as Q-PAMAM-NH2, which had been prepared from PAMAM-NH2 by quaternization of the dendrimer's terminal and internal amine groups with methyl iodide. The resulting organic films were analyzed by contact angle goniometry, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ellipsometry, and Kelvin probe force microscopy to confirm the presence of a dense layer. A Langmuir isotherm was derived from surface densities of fluorescence-labeled PAMAM-NH2 dendrimers from which we deduced an equilibrium binding constant, K(eq), of (1.3 +/- 0.3) x 10(5) M(-1). Kelvin probe measurements of the contact potential difference revealed a high reduction of the work function from 4.9 eV for bare ITO to 4.3 eV for ITO with a dense film of PAMAM-NH2 of generation five. PAMAM-OH and Q-PAMAM-NH2 resulted in slightly smaller work function changes. This study illustrates that the work function of ITO can be tuned by adlayers composed of PAMAM dendrimers.  相似文献

In the few last years, nanosystems have emerged as a potential therapeutic approach to improve the efficacy and selectivity of many drugs. Cyclodextrins (CyDs) and their nanoparticles have been widely investigated as drug delivery systems. The covalent functionalization of CyD polymer nanoparticles with targeting molecules can improve the therapeutic potential of this family of nanosystems. In this study, we investigated cross-linked γ- and β-cyclodextrin polymers as carriers for doxorubicin (ox) and oxaliplatin (Oxa). We also functionalized γ-CyD polymer bearing COOH functionalities with arginine-glycine-aspartic or arginine moieties for targeting the integrin receptors of cancer cells. We tested the Dox and Oxa anti-proliferative activity in the presence of the precursor polymer with COOH functionalities and its derivatives in A549 (lung, carcinoma) and HepG2 (liver, carcinoma) cell lines. We found that CyD polymers can significantly improve the antiproliferative activity of Dox in HepG2 cell lines only, whereas the cytotoxic activity of Oxa resulted as enhanced in both cell lines. The peptide or amino acid functionalized CyD polymers, loaded with Dox, did not show any additional effect compared to the precursor polymer. Finally, studies of Dox uptake showed that the higher antiproliferative activity of complexes correlates with the higher accumulation of Dox inside the cells. The results show that CyD polymers could be used as carriers for repositioning classical anticancer drugs such as Dox or Oxa to increase their antitumor activity.  相似文献

Reaction of [M(NH3)6]Cl3 (M = Co, Rh, Ir) and [Ir(NH3)5(OH2)]Cl3 with (NH4)2C2O4 · H2O in aqueous solution resulted in the isolation of [M(NH3)6]2(C2O4)3 · 4 H2O and [Ir(NH3)5(OH2)]2(C2O4)3 · 4 H2O, respectively. The complexes have been characterized by X‐ray crystallography, IR and UV/VIS spectroscopy. The isomorphous compounds crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pnnm (No. 58). Four molecules of crystal water are involved in an extended three‐dimensional hydrogen bonding network. The librational modes of the lattice water around 600 cm–1 allow the characterization of [Ir(NH3)6]2(C2O4)3 · 4 H2O and [Ir(NH3)5(OH2)]2(C2O4)3 · 4 H2O, respectively, by IR spectroscopy. The band around 600 cm–1 shows a significant frequency shift in the IR spectra of the hexaammine and aquapentaammine complex of iridium(III) and, by that, a distinction is possible.  相似文献

The hexasaccharide (trimer) and tetrasaccharide (dimer) oligomers of hyaluronic acid were investigated by 1H and 13C high resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. The dynamic behavior of the molecules and their complexation with copper(II) were analysed by 1H NMR relaxation studies. A specific site for the complexation of the tetrasaccharide with Cu2+ was demonstrated by analysis of the paramagnetic effect of the metal on non-selective proton relaxation rates. A model for the complex involving two molecules of the tetrasaccharide is proposed.  相似文献

Bovine serum albumin (BSA)–squaraine supramolecular adducts with aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) properties were prepared and characterized by spectroscopic methods. While squaraine dyes showed a very low fluorescence quantum yield in water, a great enhancement in the fluorescence of the aggregated BSA adducts was achieved due to the abnormal aggregation‐induced emission properties of squaraines. The adducts formation was studied from a kinetic point of view showing unexpected structure–properties relationships.  相似文献

This study examines the role of both a radial flow created at the entrance of the die and the average molecular weight of polymer on the appearance and development of the helical defect. To do so, three linear polydimethylsiloxanes (PDMSs) of different viscosities and molecular weights were considered. A convergent radial flow is created at the entrance zone when a radial geometry is generated upstream the extrusion die. As for the influence of the considered radial flow, extrudate photographs show that helical instability can be mitigated since its frequency is higher and its amplitude is smaller than what they are when radial flow geometry is not installed. However, it is possible to relate the observed effects to the establishment of the radial flow at the die entrance where the shear deformations are enhanced with respect to the elongational ones. In fact, the development of the helical defect is shaped with amplitude, which is sensitive to the gap width of the radial flow and a frequency imposed by both the entrance geometry and the molecular weight of the polymer. It has also been shown that the ratio of frequencies of the onset of helical instability and the ratio of the Newtonian viscosities, for two given polymers, are inversely equal. Moreover, results obtained confirm that the frequency of the instabilities at their onset is inversely proportional to a mean characteristic time τ M as to the plateau viscosity of the considered PDMS.  相似文献

Reversed phase‐high performance liquid chromatography (RP‐HPLC), thin layer chromatography (TLC) densitometry and first derivative spectrophotometry (1D) techniques are developed and validated as a stability‐indicating assay of ezetimibe in the presence of alkaline induced degradation products. RP‐HPLC method involves an isocratic elution on a Phenomenex Luna 5μ C18 column using acetonitrile: water: glacial acetic acid (50:50:0.1 v/v/v) as a mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.5 mL/min. and a UV detector at 235 nm. TLC densitometric method is based on the difference in Rf‐values between the intact drug and its degradation products on aluminum‐packed silica gel 60 F254 TLC plates as stationary phase with isopropanol: ammonia 33% (9:1 v/v) as a developing mobile phase. On the fluorescent plates, the spots were located by fluorescence quenching and the densitometric analysis was carried out at 250 nm. Derivative spectrophotometry, the zero‐crossing method, ezetimibe was determined using first derivative at 261 nm in the presence of its degradation products. Calibration graphs of the three suggested methods are linear in the concentration ranges 1–10 mcg/mL, 0.1–1 mg/mL and 1–16 mcg/mL with a mean percentage accuracy of 99.05 ± 0.54%, 99.46 ± 0.63% and 99.24 ± 0.82% of bulk powder, respectively. The three proposed methods were successfully applied for the determination of ezetimibe in raw material and pharmaceutical dosage form; the results were statistically analyzed and compared with those obtained by the reported method. Validation parameters were determined for linearity, accuracy and precision; selectivity and robustness and were assessed by applying the standard addition technique.  相似文献

In this study 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde (HMF), 2-furaldehyde, 3-furaldehyde, 2-furoic acid and 3-furoic acid are contemporarily determined in honey using a swift and direct RP-HPLC approach. The validation protocol was performed in terms of detection and quantification limits, precision (by repeatability and reproducibility), linearity and accuracy (by recovery tests); the acceptability of the precision and accuracy results was positively verified using Horwitz's model and AOAC guidelines, respectively. The method was tested on 18 honey samples of different ages, and botanical and geographical origin. HMF and 2-furaldehyde correlated highly with the age of the samples, whereas no correlation was observed with regards to 2-furaldehyde and 2-furoic acid. Hypotheses relating to the formation of minority furanic compounds are also proposed.  相似文献
