Abstract In the MxPS3 and M1?xM'xPS3 systems, the P2S6 cluster contributes to the poor electrical conductivity for the compounds in which the energy level of the metal 3d orbital is deeper than those of the P, S 3p orbitals. For the compounds in which metal 3d orbital is closed to P and S 3p orbitals and has mixed valency, the induced mixed valency of P2S6, cluster and/or hopping mechanism contribute to the electrical conductivity. In the organic electron donor intercalation into MxPS3 and M1?xM'xPS3 compounds, the new intercalation reaction is discovered, in which formation of tris-complexes of metal ions with guest molecules occurs in the host interlayer. 相似文献

Anatase films exhibiting ~100% (001) reactive facets at the surface were grown hydrothermally on gold substrate from a homogeneous solution of TiF(4) and NaF. In addition to NaF, it was found that TiO(2) films with very similar properties could be prepared with the fluoride salts LiF, CsF, HF, NH(4)F, and N(CH(2)CH(3))(4)F. The polycrystalline anatase films are continuous, approximately 1 μm thick, and evenly coat the substrate. The surface grain size is ~400 nm. Grazing angle XRD measurements show that the films exhibit a high degree of preferred orientation with the c-axis normal to the substrate surface. SEM images reveal that the grains span the thickness of the films. Annealing the films at 500 °C removes fluorine and causes crystallites within the grains to restructure as shown by SEM, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy. Supported anatase films grown from this one-pot method may serve as oxidative photocatalysts and electrodes for photoelectrochemical applications such as solar cells and hydrogen evolution. 相似文献

Recently, we reported on a light-induced anchoring transition of an azobenzene nematic from planar to homeotropic alignment. In the proposed model of the transition, the changes in shape of the liquid crystal molecules and of their net dipole moment, due to the photoisomerization, were considered to play a vital role in the occurrence of the transition. In order to assess the validity of this model, a study of the anchoring behaviour of nematic guest-host liquid crystal mixtures containing two photochromic dyes, 3,3'- and 4,4'-substituted azobenzenes, was carried out. The dyes have very similar molecular structures to that of the azobenzene nematic previously studied, and their molecules, having a linear shape in the trans-form, maintained this shape after photoisomerization in the case of the 3,3'-azo dye, and changed it to bent in the case of the 4,4'-azo dye. The dyes possessed similar net dipole moments that increased substantially after photoisomerization, resulting in a preferential adsorption of their cis-isomers on the solid substrate. However, only the mixture containing the 4,4'-azo dye exhibited an anchoring transition from planar to homeotropic alignment upon illumination with unpolarized UV light, a behaviour in excellent agreement with the prediction of the model for the light-induced anchoring transition. The surface-assisted alignment of a nematic liquid crystal yields a persistent ordered structure upon cationic photopolymerization of liquid-crystalline epoxides. The reaction of PVA with 2,2-dialkoxyethoxystyrylpyridinium or quinolinium salts is described. The resultant water-soluble polymers, which contain small amounts of the styrylpyridinium- or quinolinium group, exhibited high photosensitivity. Vortexlike turbulent structures in hot-ion mode plasmas with several keV are observed in the case with a radially produced weak shear of electric fields E(r). However, a strong E(r) shear formation due to a high ion-confining potential phi(c) production clears up these vortices together with plasma-confinement improvement and disappearance of both drift-wave and turbulencelike Fourier spectral signals. These findings are based on three-time progress in phi(c) in comparison to phi(c) attained 1992-2002. Pressure-volume isotherms for 4-(trans-4-butylcylohexyl)benzonitrile were measured by means of piston-cylinder method. This substance has a monotropic nematic phase at atmospheric pressure. But over a pressure, the nature of isotropic to nematic phase transition changed from monotropic to enantiotropic phase transition. We have found that the shape of silver nanocrystals is conveniently controlled by injection of oxygen gas during the polyol reduction of silver ions. The presence of oxygen effectively promotes the oxidative etching of multiple twined particles. Adjusting the flow rate of the oxygen gas yields uniformly-sized silver nanocubes, right bipyramids, nanowires, and spherical nanoparticles depending on the injection rate of the oxygen gas. Electron diffraction and high resolution TEM observations of the synthesized nanocrystals show our nanocrystals do consist of silver, not of silver oxide. SERS activities of the synthesized nanocrystals were also examined. 相似文献

The need for reliable surface analyses together with quality‐management requirements for analytical laboratories led the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to form its Technical Committee (TC) 201 on Surface Chemical Analysis in 1991. This article describes the organization of TC 201, the strategies that have been found useful for identifying and assessing possible projects for new international standards, and the 57 international standards and other documents prepared to date by TC 201. Standards have now been developed for Auger‐electron spectroscopy, glow‐discharge spectroscopy, various types of scanning probe microscopy, secondary‐ion mass spectrometry, sputter‐depth profiling, total‐reflection X‐ray fluorescence spectroscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X‐ray reflectometry. In addition, standards have been developed with definitions of terms used in surface chemical analysis; the handling, preparation of specimens for surface analysis; information and data‐transfer formats; and methods for determining the lateral resolution of beam‐based methods of surface analysis.
