Abstract A new method for the fabrication of a monolithic 1 × 4 single-mode fused coupler is described together with details of its performance in terms of coupling ratio, spectral response and polarization sensitivity. The fabricated device exhibits ultra-broadband performance with low polarization dependent loss. The coupling pattern exhibits identical coupling to all interacting fibers, enabling an easy control on fabrication parameters of the device. 相似文献

Ammosamide D (1), an oxidized analog of the ammosamide family, was isolated from a marine-derived Streptomyces variabilis. Pyrroloquinoline containing alkaloids are a growing class of natural products, with 1 being the first example of an oxidized analog resulting in a 5,6-dioxo-5,6-dihydroquinoline ring system. Attempts at chemical conversion of ammosamide B to ammosamide D revealed that a strong chemical oxidant is required. Ammosamide D has modest cytotoxicity to the MIA PaCa-2 pancreatic cancer cell line. 相似文献

Golden trefoils: Tris(alkyne)gold complex [(coct)(3)Au][SbF(6)] (see picture; 1-SbF(6)) can be synthesized from cyclooctyne (coct) and AuSbF(6) generated in situ. Treatment of AuCl with cyclooctyne led to the bis(alkyne)gold complex [Au(coct)(2)Cl] (2). DFT analysis indicates that the cyclooctyne ligands are net electron donors in 1 but overall electron acceptors in 2. AuSbF(6) is shown to mediate [2+2+2] cycloaddition reactions of alkynes. 相似文献

In this paper, we discuss a numerical solution of a class of non-linear fractional singularly perturbed two points boundary-value problem. The method of solution consists of solving reduced problem and boundary layer correction problem. A series method is used to solve the boundary layer correction problem, and then the series solutions is approximated by the Pade’ approximant of order [m, m]. A new iterative method is applied to study the solutions of the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation. The method is a modified form of the well known Adomian decomposition method (ADM), where it avoids the difficulty of computing the Adomian polynomials. We prove the existence of a unique solution of the KdV equation. And then, we show that the new method generates an infinite series which converges uniformly to the exact solution of the problem. Soliton solutions of the KdV equation are obtained by the new method. Numerical calculations indicate the effectiveness of the new method where the obtained results are very accurate and better than the ones obtained by the ADM. 相似文献

The use of acyl hydrazides as peptoid sub-monomers is investigated. We demonstrate here that azapeptoids derived entirely from acyl hydrazides can be made conveniently and efficiently using standard peptoid sub-monomer chemistry. Structural studies reveal that the main chain amide bond in these molecules predominantly adopts a trans conformation. A high-quality one bead one compound library of tetramers was made by split and pool synthesis and we found that the identity of the molecule on a single bead could be determined by tandem MALDI mass spectrometry. 相似文献

The temperature dependence of the N-H proton chemical shift in protic ionic liquids (PILs) and FT-IR spectra of the N-H bonds indicated the presence of strong hydrogen bonds between the protonated cation and the anion, depending on the ΔpK(a) of the constituent acid and base, and their successive breaking with temperature, which may explain the characteristic properties of PILs such as relatively low ionicity and its decrease with temperature. 相似文献

Fourth-order perturbation formula on the basis of the dominant spin-orbit coupling mechanism is employed to investigate the local environment around Mn2+ centers in ZnAl2S4 single crystals. The zero-field splitting (ZFS) parameter D is calculated for the Mn2+ ions at the Al3+ site with local symmetry D3d using the different orbital reduction factors. Both the contributions of the lattice distortions to the crystal-field (CF) parameters and the D are examined by means of different cases. The comparison between the calculated results in this study and the previous experimental and theoretical values reveals a good agreement and reasonable distortion parameters for Mn2+ ions at Al3+ sites. 相似文献

The synthesis of a luminescent quantum cluster (QC) of gold with a quantum yield of ~4 % is reported. It was synthesized in gram quantities by the core etching of mercaptosuccinic acid protected gold nanoparticles by bovine serum albumin (BSA), abbreviated as AuQC@BSA. The cluster was characterized and a core of Au38 was assigned tentatively from mass spectrometric analysis. Luminescence of the QC is exploited as a “turn‐off” sensor for Cu2+ ions and a “turn‐on” sensor for glutathione detection. Metal‐enhanced luminescence (MEL) of this QC in the presence of silver nanoparticles is demonstrated and a ninefold maximum enhancement is seen. This is the first report of the observation of MEL from QCs. Folic acid conjugated AuQC@BSA was found to be internalized to a significant extent by oral carcinoma KB cells through folic acid mediated endocytosis. The inherent luminescence of the internalized AuQC@BSA was used in cell imaging. 相似文献
