We report on an observation of a fast 1.5 microm photoluminescence band from Er3+ ions embedded in an SiO2 matrix doped with Si nanocrystals, which appears and decays within the first microsecond after the laser excitation pulse. We argue that the fast excitation and quenching are facilitated by Auger processes related to transitions of confined electrons or holes between the space-quantized levels of Si nanocrystals dispersed in SiO2. We show that a great part--about 50%--of all Er dopants is involved in these fast processes and contributes to the submicrosecond emission. 相似文献

We consider the four-band model of high-temperature superconductors with copper

2 cluster. We study the properties of a local cell model and find its low-energy states such as the one-particle doublet and
the two-particle singlet and triplet states. We consider the cell fermion delocalization because of their tunneling between
the copper sites. We obtain a system of Dyson-type equations for renormalized one-particle Green’s functions and discuss whether
it can be simplified.

The excitation conditions of surface electromagnetic waves in one-dimensional photonic crystals (Bragg reflectors) are studied. Surface electromagnetic waves are visualized by the far-field optical microscopy of the surface of the photonic crystal. The enhancement of the Goos-Hänchen effect by surface electromagnetic waves excited in one-dimensional photonic crystals has been experimentally observed. The Goos-Hänchen shift reaches 30λ for a wavelength of λ = 532 nm. 相似文献

The intermittent behavior of spatially extended systems is investigated using the example of unidirectionally coupled Pierce diodes. The space-time dynamics of electron domains in a semiconductor superlattice is studied in a tilted magnetic field with regard to the effect of temperature. It is shown that an increase in temperature substantially changes the space-time dynamics of the system. This leads to a decrease in the frequency and amplitude of oscillations of a current flowing through the semiconductor superlattice. Two qualitatively different approaches to the dynamics of vibrational wave packets in the presence of medium-induced relaxation,
with taking into account relaxation memory effects and without taking them into account (Makovian approximation) were compared
for a molecular system with one vibrational degree of freedom (the Morse oscillator) in a medium. The time evolution of the
populations of levels, mean system energy, and response of “pumping-probing” experiments were calculated. It was found that,
as distinct from the Markovian approximation, the approach including memory effects can predict the evolution of a molecular
system satisfying the detailed equilibrium principle. The two approaches specified also predict the existence of a qualitative
