Sulfonyl-bridged oligo(benzoic acid)s 7 n (n = 2–4) are prepared from the corresponding triflate esters (8 n ) of sulfur-bridged oligophenols by palladium-catalyzed methoxycarbonylation of the triflate moieties, followed by hydrolysis of the resulting methyl esters, and subsequent oxidation of the sulfur bridges. X-ray analysis reveals that dimer 7 2 forms supramolecular zig-zag chains through intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the carboxy groups. As for the crystal of trimer 7 3 , two molecules are associated through two couples of intermolecular hydrogen bonds between terminal and central carboxy groups to form a cyclic dimer, which connects with two adjacent dimers with the remaining carboxy groups to construct an infinite columnar structure. Tetramer 7 4 adopts a monomolecular cyclic structure through intramolecular hydrogen bonds between the terminal carboxy groups, and a molecule connects with each of two adjacent molecules through two couples of intermolecular hydrogen bonds between inner carboxy and sulfonyl groups. Solvent extraction experiments reveal that the oligo(benzoic acid)s exhibit high extractability toward lanthanoid ions (Ln3+); the performance follows the order 7 4  ≈ 7 3  > 7 2 . Moderate extraction selectivity is observed for the extraction of Pr3+, Gd3+, and Yb3+ with 7 2 . X-ray crystallographic analysis of cluster [Tb4L4(H2O)6](Et3NH)4, which was prepared from 7 4 (H4L) and Tb(NO3)3·6H2O in the presence of Et3N, reveals that no sulfonyl oxygens coordinate to the metal centers. This indicates that the high extractability of 7 4 originates from the electron-withdrawing nature of the sulfonyl function, which increases the acidity of two adjacent carboxy groups.  相似文献

Gaseous monochlorobenzene was irradiated with KrF excimer laser (248 nm) under reduced pressure. The photodecomposition was an apparent first order reaction. When the system contained no additive gas, the photolysis was found to give benzene (conversion yield: 49%) in the gas phase and many unidentified products in the solid phase. On the other hand, in the presence of oxygen, carbon dioxide (10%), carbon monoxide (16%), hydrogen chloride (52%) and acetylene (2%) are produced and the peaks shown on the gas chromatogram of the solid phase were effectively suppressed.  相似文献

Mono- and dinuclear titanium complexes of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene were applied as a catalyst for [2+2+2] cycloaddition of terminal alkynes. They showed high catalytic activity and regioselectivity toward 1,3,5-trisubstituted benzenes over 1,2,4-trisubstituted isomers. The regioselectivity was rationalized in terms of the steric effect of the thiacalixarene skeleton and the coordination of the bridging sulfur atom to the titanium center.  相似文献

Mono-, tri-, and tetra-thiacalix[6]arene were obtained by acid-catalyzed condensation of the corresponding tetramer and dimer derivatives of p-tert-butylphenol bridged by methylene or sulfur. Replacement of CH2 by sulfur has significant effect on the properties of calix[6]arene such as the strength of intramolecular hydrogen bonding, inclusion ability toward organic molecules, and conformation properties.  相似文献

Treatment of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (C1) and its sulfur-bridged analog T1 with 1,3-dichloro-1,1,3,3-tetraisopropyldisiloxane in the presence of imidazole gives proximally O,O'-disiloxane-1,3-diyl-bridged calixarenes C2 and T2 in excellent yields, respectively. Subsequent base-catalyzed etherification of the remaining hydroxy groups with alkyl halides gives syn- and anti-O',O'-dialkylated products, the stereoselectivity of which varies depending on the nature of the macrocycle, as well as the metal cation of the base employed. Thus, conventional calixarene C2 preferentially affords syn compounds of 1,2-alternate conformation (C3) with the aid of tert-BuOK and K(2)CO(3) and anti counterparts of partial-cone conformation (C4) with Cs(2)CO(3). On the other hand, thiacalixarene T2 affords syn compounds of 1,2-alternate conformation (T3) with any of the bases. The disiloxanediyl bridge of the resulting products can readily be removed by treatment with tetrabutylammonium fluoride. Thus, the net process provides an efficient method for the regio- and stereoselective synthesis of proximally dialkylated calix[4]arenes.  相似文献

We investigated the application of a high-resolution Orbitrap mass spectrometer equipped with an electrospray ionization (ESI) source and a matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometer to the metabolite profiling of a model small interfering RNA (siRNA) duplex TSR#34 and compared their functions and capabilities. TSR#34 duplex was incubated in human serum in vitro, and the duplex and its metabolites were then purified by ion exchange chromatography in order to remove the biological matrices. The fraction containing the siRNA duplex and its metabolites was collected and desalted and then subjected to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) equipped with a reversed phase column. The siRNA and its metabolites were separated into single strands by elevated chromatographic temperature and analyzed using the ESI-Orbitrap or the MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer. Using this method, the 5' and/or 3' truncated metabolites of each strand were detected in the human serum samples. The ESI-Orbitrap mass spectrometer enabled differentiation between two possible RNA-based sequences, a monoisotopic molecular mass difference which was less than 2 Da, with an intrinsic mass resolving power. In-source decay (ISD) analysis using a MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer allowed the sequencing of the RNA metabolite with characteristic fragment ions, using 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone (2,4-DHAP) as a matrix. The ESI-Orbitrap mass spectrometer provided the highest mass accuracy and the benefit of on-line coupling with HPLC for metabolite profiling. Meanwhile, the MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer, in combination with 2,4-DHAP, has the potential for the sequencing of RNA by ISD analysis. In the recrystallization of a diastereomeric mixture of amides (RSa,S)-1 formed from racemic 1,1′-binaphthalene-2,2′-dicarboxylic acid and (S)-1-phenylethylamine, either of the diastereomers crystallizes out as a diastereomerically pure form, depending on the solvent employed; sterically undemanding solvents, acetone, dichloromethane, and acetonitrile, afford crystals formulated as (Sa,S)-1·solvent with an exception of ethanol, which affords (Ra,S)-1·EtOH, while sterically bulkier solvents afford (Ra,S)-1 including no solvent. The stereoselectivity can be rationalized by the crystal structures. A dielectrically controlled resolution (DCR) can also be carried out by using mixed solvents, which contain, for example, 25 vol % of acetone and varying ratios of hexane and 1-propanol in total 75 vol %; (Sa,S)-1·acetone is deposited as crystals from the solvents with a dielectric constant (ε) range 8.9 ? ε ? 10.2, while (Ra,S)-1 is deposited from the solvents with 14.8 ? ε ? 20.3.  相似文献
