Recent experimental values for the inclusive semileptonic decay branching ratio of theB meson are low compared to the spectator model expectation. That branching ratio is investigated in the right-handed current model. The right-handed current could enhance the nonleptonic decay mode, thereby suppressing the semileptonic branching ratio. Then, the quark mixing matrix of the right-handed sector is restricted to be of one special type and the right-handed neutrino has to be the heavy Dirac one.  相似文献

We have investigated the electron diffusion process in Al0.3Ga0.7As/GaAs quantum well (QW) structures by means of scanning tunneling microscope light emission (STM-LE) spectroscopy. The optical measurements were performed on a cleaved (1 1 0) surface at room temperature. The STM-LE spectra were measured by injecting hot electrons from the tip positioned at different distances from the QWs. The emission intensity from individual wells as a function of the tip-well distance was found to decay with two distinct decay constants. From comparison with Monte Carlo simulations for hot electron relaxation, we found that the intervalley scattering from the Γ valley to the L and X valleys has the most significant effect on the diffusion process of the injected electrons.  相似文献

The influence of a static magnetic field on the instability of plastic flow (the Portevin-Le Chatelier effect) is revealed in NaCl: Eu quenched crystals. It is found that, in an external magnetic field, the yield stress of the crystals is reduced, the probability of plastic strain jumps and their amplitude decrease, and the amplitude distribution of the plastic strain jumps becomes random. The number of shear bands formed on the surface of crystals strained in the magnetic field is halved as compared to that observed without a magnetic field.  相似文献

The mixed powders of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and SiO2 has been subjected to cryomilling. The evolution of microstructure with time was characterized using scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, field emission scanning electron microscope, and laser diffraction particle size analyzer. It was shown that, upon cryomilling for 10 h, SiO2 nano particles were well deconglomerated into single particles (~30 nm) that get homogeneously dispersed in PET matrix. The resulted PET/SiO2 primary particles were flake‐shaped with a size of 400 nm. These primary composite particles agglomerated to form secondary composite particles with an average size about 7.6 μm. A three‐stage model was purposed for the formation mechanism of the nanocomposite structures induced by cryomilling. Our evidences suggest that cryomilling is a capable and promising technique for the production of polymer/inorganic nanocomposites. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An electron spin resonance experiment has been performed on the Cr-rich concentrations of the random mixture Rb2Mn(1-x)CrxCl4 of an insulating ferromagnet (Rb2CrCl4) and an insulating antiferromagnet (Rb2MnCl4). The resonance fields in x = 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8 samples begin to shift towards low field side at temperatures well above the Curie temperatures, when the external field is applied in the c-plane of the crystal. The shift of the resonance field with temperature of the x = 0.7 sample agreed well with that of the x = 0.8 sample, after scaling the temperature axis, while the shift in the x = 0.6 crystal did not. From this observation, we argue that the x = 0.7 and x = 0.8 samples have a long-range ordered ferromagnetic phase below Tc, and that the low temperature phase of the x = 0.6 sample is not a truely long-range ordered one. A weak resonance line was observed in the x = 0.8 sample below about 20 K. This resonance is discussed in connection with the re-entrant spin-glass behavior of this mixed system found in the ac susceptibility measurement.  相似文献

The magnetic field effect (<800 G) on the hydrogen abstraction of xanthone from xanthene in SDS aqueous micellar solutions was studied using laser flash photolysis. The rate of triplet-singlet intersystem crossing of the radical pair of xanthone ketyl and 9-xanthenyl formed upon photolysis decreases from 1.4 × 106 s?1 at O G to 0.4 × 106 s?1 at 640 G.  相似文献

The present paper describes the one-pot procedure for the formation of self-assembled thin films of two silanes on the model oxidized silicon wafer, SiO2/Si. SiO2/Si is a model system for other surfaces, such as glass, quartz, aerosol, and silica gel. MALDI-TOF MS with and without a matrix, XPS, and AFM have confirmed the formation of self-assembled thin films of both 3-imidazolylpropyltrimethoxysilane (3-IPTS) and 4-(N-propyltriethoxysilane-imino)pyridine (4-PTSIP) on the SiO2/Si surface after 30 min. Longer adsorption times lead to the deposition of nonreacted 3-IPTS precursors and the formation of agglomerates on the 3-IPTS monolayer. The formation of 4-PTSIP self-assembled layers on SiO2/Si is also demonstrated. The present results for the flat SiO2/Si surface can lead to a better understanding of the formation of a stationary phase for affinity chromatography as well as transition-metal-supported catalysts on silica and their relationship with surface roughness and ordering. The 3-IPTS and 4-PTSIP modified SiO2/Si wafers can also be envisaged as possible built-on-silicon thin-layer chromatography (TLC) extraction devices for metal determination or N-heterocycle analytes, such as histidine and histamine, with "on-spot" MALDI-TOF MS detection.  相似文献

The microwave spectrum of the SiF radical was observed in both 2Π12 and 2Π32 of the ground vibronic state. The SiF radical was produced by a dc discharge either in a SiF4SiH4 mixture or in a transient molecule SiF2 generated by the reaction of SiF4 with heated solid silicon. The latter gave twice as intense a spectrum. A least-squares fit to the observed spectrum showed the rotational constant and the centrifugal distortion constant to be 17 350.2752(63) and 0.03188(13) MHz, respectively, with three standard errors in parentheses applying to the last digits of the constants. The lambda-doubling parameter p0 was found to be negative, ?87.67 MHz, indicating that the 2Σ+ excited state contributions dominate over those of 2Σ?. All four hyperfine coupling constants a, b, c, and d were determined and were employed to discuss the unpaired-electron spin and orbital distributions in the SiF radical.  相似文献
