Surface of polypropylene (PP) film was modified in plasma of dichloromethane (CH2Cl2). The nature of surface modifications and formation of cross-linked layer due to plasma polymerization was studied by surface energy measurements and solubility test. Surface modification achieved by CH2Cl2 plasma was compared with the reported work on chloroform (CHCl3) and carbontetrachloride (CCl4) plasma modifications. Modified surface characterized by ATR-FTIR technique indicated formation of saturated and unsaturated cross-linked product. On the basis of relative intensity change of the specific bands, the site of attachment of chlorine on PP surface was investigated. Adhesive strength of modified film was measured by T-peel test method. Stability of modified surface was studied by measuring surface energy and peel strength after two months.  相似文献

Co-catalyzed epoxidation of cyclic alkenes proceeds in ionic liquid media (1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate). Epoxidation of the alkenes to respective epoxides was greatly accelerated by the use of a cobalt-based catalyst in the presence of H2O2 as an oxidant. The X-ray K-absorption spectrum of chlorine has been investigated using URS-II spectrometer equipped with quartz crystal analyser and proportional counter. The intensity of the narrow selective absorption line appearing on the low energy side of the edge has been carefully studied. Bis-2-pyridyl glycol has been used for the gravimetric determination of uranium, aluminium and beryllium. The reagent quantitatively precipitates uranium from uranyl nitrate solution at pH 5.0–8.0, aluminium from potash alum solution at pH 5.2–8.5 and beryllium from beryllium sulphate solution at pH 7.5–9.5. We report the results of a search for R parity violating (RPV) interactions leading to the production of supersymmetric sneutrinos decaying into eμ final states using 5.3 fb-1 of integrated luminosity collected by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. Having observed no evidence for production of eμ resonances, we set direct bounds on the RPV couplings λ311' and λ312 as a function of sneutrino mass.  相似文献

Three experiments were designed to examine temporal envelope processing by cochlear implant (CI) listeners. In experiment 1, the hypothesis that listeners' modulation sensitivity would in part determine their ability to discriminate between temporal modulation rates was examined. Temporal modulation transfer functions (TMTFs) obtained in an amplitude modulation detection (AMD) task were compared to threshold functions obtained in an amplitude modulation rate discrimination (AMRD) task. Statistically significant nonlinear correlations were observed between the two measures. In experiment 2, results of loudness-balancing showed small increases in the loudness of modulated over unmodulated stimuli beyond a modulation depth of 16%. Results of experiment 3 indicated small but statistically significant effects of level-roving on the overall gain of the TMTF, but no impact of level-roving on the average shape of the TMTF across subjects. This suggested that level-roving simply increased the task difficulty for most listeners, but did not indicate increased use of intensity cues under more challenging conditions. Data obtained with one subject, however, suggested that the most sensitive listeners may derive some benefit from intensity cues in these tasks. Overall, results indicated that intensity cues did not play an important role in temporal envelope processing by the average CI listener.  相似文献
