The third-order nonlinear partial differential equation modelling the unsteady boundary-layer flows caused by an impulsively stretching fiat plate is solved by using the Adomian decomposition method (ADM). The ADM yields analytic solution in the form of a rapidly convergent infinite series with easily computable terms. One-nucleon emission processes induced by photon absorption are studied by considering short-range correlation effects. At energies above the giant resonance region the validity of the direct knock-out model has been tested by comparison with continuum random phase approximation results. Nucleon re-scattering effects have been considered by using an optical potential. The role of the electromagnetic convection, magnetization, and meson exchange currents has been investigated as a function of both excitation energy and momentum transfer. The short-range correlation effects have been studied by using various correlation functions. We found that the nucleon photo-emission cross section is rather sensitive to the presence of short-range correlations at large values of nucleon emission angle. In this region, however, the effects of meson exchange currents are even larger than those produced by short-range correlations.  相似文献

In order to optimize the performance of three level code division multiplexing (3LCDM) at 2×20 Gb/s data rate, signal level spacing technique is investigated in this paper. The 3LCDM performance is improved considerably using both electrical and optical level spacing optimization configurations. The results demonstrate that by optimization, in conditions of the optical signal-to-noise ratio, an improvement of around 4.5 dB can be achieved in both approaches as well as 3.3 dB in the electrical configuration and 3.5 dB in the optical configuration can be accomplished for the 3LCDM in terms of the receiver sensitivity.  相似文献

Near-optimization is as sensible and important as optimization for both theory and applications. This paper deals with necessary and sufficient conditions for near-optimal singular stochastic controls for nonlinear controlled stochastic differential equations of mean-field type, which is also called McKean–Vlasov-type equations. The proof of our main result is based on Ekeland’s variational principle and some estimates of the state and adjoint processes. It is shown that optimal singular control may fail to exist even in simple cases, while near-optimal singular controls always exist. This justifies the use of near-optimal stochastic controls, which exist under minimal hypotheses and are sufficient in most practical cases. Moreover, since there are many near-optimal singular controls, it is possible to select among them appropriate ones that are easier for analysis and implementation. Under an additional assumptions, we prove that the near-maximum condition on the Hamiltonian function is a sufficient condition for near-optimality. This paper extends the results obtained in (Zhou, X.Y.: SIAM J. Control Optim. 36(3), 929–947, 1998) to a class of singular stochastic control problems involving stochastic differential equations of mean-field type. An example is given to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

Solid–liquid equilibria for binary mixtures of {methyl stearate (1) + biphenyl (2)}, {methyl stearate (1) + naphthalene (2)}, {methyl palmitate (1) + biphenyl (2)} and {methyl palmitate (1) + naphthalene (2)} were measured using differential scanning calorimeter. Simple eutectic behaviours for these systems were observed. The experimental results were correlated by means of the NRTL, Wilson, UNIQUAC and ideal models. The root-mean-square deviations of the solubility temperatures for all measured data vary from 0.5477 K (for UNIQUAC model) to 7.79 K; the deviations depend on the binary system studied and particular model used. The best solubility correlation was obtained with UNIQUAC model and this observation confirms previous results.  相似文献

An L-band remotely-pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifier incorporating a secondary pumping scheme utilizing stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) was demonstrated. 1423 nm Raman laser was employed to generate SRS which became the secondary pump source. The amplifier displayed excellent gain of up to 27.3 dB at 1570 nm for −30 dBm input. Noise figures were also kept to a minimum, with the highest figure measured at 11 dB which was influenced by imperfection of the C/L coupler utilized in this architecture. Overall transmission performance was measured as well and demonstrated an encouraging outcome with gain as high as 24 dB while the noise figure was maintained at about 11 dB. The L-band signal amplification was also contributed by the stimulated Raman scattering along the transmission fiber. The outcome of this study emphasized the feasibility of secondary pumping scheme using SRS in L-band gain enhancement.  相似文献

Abstract

Stereospermum fimbriatum or locally known as “Chicha” is traditionally used for itchy skin, earache, stomachache and postpartum treatments. This study was designed to evaluate the antimicrobial potential of S. fimbriatum’s stem bark against 11 pathogens and isolate its bioactive compound. Successive soxhlet extraction was conducted using n-hexane, dichloromethane (DCM) and methanol. Disc diffusion, minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentration (MIC & MBC) assays were done to examine the antimicrobial activity. Bioassay-guided isolation was conducted on S. fimbriatum’s extract. The DCM extract of stem bark (DS) was the most potent extract followed by n-hexane extract of the stem bark (NS). A novel compound was isolated and coded as C1 which demonstrated potent antibacterial effects with the MIC values as low as 3.13?µg/mL to 6.25?µg/mL, against S. epidermidis, MRSA and S. aureus. Thus, S. fimbriatum could be a potential source of antimicrobial agents for the treatment of skin infections, specifically, MRSA.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with local existence and blowup of a unique solution to a time‐space fractional evolution equation with a time nonlocal nonlinearity of exponential growth. At first, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the local solution by the Banach contraction mapping principle. Then, the blowup result of the solution in finite time is established by the test function method with a judicious choice of the test function.  相似文献
