Four proteoglycans were sequentially extracted from Hypsizygus marmoreus using 0.1 M NaOH (alkali-soluble proteoglycans [F1] and alkali-insoluble proteoglycans [F3]) and 0.1 M HCl (acid-soluble proteoglycans [F2] and acid-insoluble proteoglycans [F4]), and their structures and immunomodulatory activities were investigated. The proteoglycans were found to contain carbohydrates (19.8-82.4%) with various amounts of proteins (7.7-67.3%), and glucose was the major monosaccharide unit present, along with trace amounts of galactose. The molecular weights (Mw) and the radius of gyration (Rg) of these proteoglycans showed ranges of 16 × 10(4)-19,545 × 10(4) g/mol and 35-148 nm, respectively, showing significant variations in their molecular conformations. The backbones of F1 and F2 were mainly connected through a-(1→3), (1→4) and b-(1→6)-glycosidic linkages with some branches. The F1 and F2 proteoglycans significantly stimulated Raw264.7 cells to release nitric oxide (NO), prostaglandin E2 (PGE(2)) and various cytokines, such as IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 by inducing their mRNA expressions.  相似文献

A new method for the identification and colorimetric estimation of Co(II) with 2-carboxy-isonitrosoacetanilide has been developed. This reagent is specific and its sensitiviness is D = 10b-6(1:1,000,000). The best possible conditions are indicated for the colorimetric determination whereby Beer's law holds for dilutions to 1,2:1,000,000.  相似文献

Continuous and pulsed quantum Zeno effects were observed using a 87Rb Bose-Einstein condensate. Oscillations between two ground hyperfine states of a magnetically trapped condensate, externally driven at a transition rate omega(R), were suppressed by destructively measuring the population in one of the states with resonant light. The suppression of the transition rate in the two-level system was quantified for pulsed measurements with a time interval deltat between pulses and continuous measurements with a scattering rate gamma. We observe that the continuous measurements exhibit the same suppression in the transition rate as the pulsed measurements when gammadeltat=3.60(0.43), in agreement with the predicted value of 4. Increasing the measurement rate suppressed the transition rate down to 0.005 omega(R).  相似文献

We have observed parametric generation and amplification of ultracold atom pairs. A 87Rb Bose-Einstein condensate was loaded into a one-dimensional optical lattice with quasimomentum k0 and spontaneously scattered into two final states with quasimomenta k1 and k2 . Furthermore, when a seed of atoms was first created with quasimomentum k1 we observed parametric amplification of scattered atoms pairs in states k1 and k2 when the phase-matching condition was fulfilled. This process is analogous to optical parametric generation and amplification of photons and could be used to efficiently create entangled pairs of atoms. Furthermore, these results explain the dynamic instability of condensates in moving lattices observed in recent experiments.  相似文献

This article is concerned with multivariate density estimation. We discuss deficiencies in two popular multivariate density estimators—mixture and copula estimators, and propose a new class of estimators that combines the advantages of both mixture and copula modeling, while being more robust to their weaknesses. Our method adapts any multivariate density estimator using information obtained by separately estimating the marginals. We propose two marginally adapted estimators based on a multivariate mixture of normals and a mixture of factor analyzers estimators. These estimators are implemented using computationally efficient split-and-elimination variational Bayes algorithms. It is shown through simulation and real-data examples that the marginally adapted estimators are capable of improving on their original estimators and compare favorably with other existing methods. Strong red photoluminescence (PL) spectra appeared at porous silicon (PS) samples prepared by a chemical anodization of Fe-contaminated Si substrates. The Fe1000 sample with Fe contamination of 1000 ppb showed a ten times stronger red PL than that of the reference PS sample without any Fe contamination, and this sample also showed the higher thermal stability for PL spectra as compared with the reference PS sample. Furthermore, the PL intensity from the PS with Fe contamination is linearly proportional to the Fe-related trap concentrations of Si substrates obtained from DLTS. Especially, all the PS samples exhibit the same PL peak position regardless of Fe contamination concentrations, as compared with that of the reference PS. This means that there is no significant effect such as the variation of size distribution of nanocrystalline Si in PS layer formed on Fe-contaminated Si substrate. Based on the results of PL and DLTS, we found that the PL efficiency depends strongly on the Fe-related trap concentration in Si substrates.  相似文献

We achieved vertically aligned (VA) liquid crystals (LCs) on aluminum oxide (Al2O3) films deposited via e-beam evaporation using a rubbing treatment. Uniform and vertical LC alignment was achieved and high thermal stability was obtained using these substrates. By analyzing measurements from optical retardations, we confirm that the LC orientation is adjustable using rubbing treatment. The superior electro-optical characteristics of the VA cells based on Al2O3 films are measured and compared with those based on polyimide layers, indicating that this approach will allow the fabrication of high-performance, advanced LC displays using a conventional rubbing process.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine if it is possible to distinguish between the groups of spoiled and unspoiled soft contact lenses using near-infrared spectroscopy and new analytical approach – Aquaphotomics. Using the principal component analysis, it was established that the absorbance spectra of worn and new contact lenses are differed at water absorption band related to hydration of proteins. Detection of proteins thus was performed indirectly by using vibrations of water molecules. This exploratory study showed that near-infrared spectroscopy and Aquaphotomics have potential for non-invasive, chemical-free detection of protein deposits on hydrated soft contact lenses.  相似文献

Differences in the rate of electrocatalytic proton reduction by Fe2(mu-PPh2)2(CO)6, DP, and the linked phosphido-bridged analogue Fe2(mu,mu-PPh(CH2)3PPh)(CO)6, 3P, suggest that dihydrogen elimination proceeds through a bridging hydride. The reaction path was examined using electrochemical, spectroscopic, and in silico studies where reduction of 3P gives a moderately stable monoanion [Kdisp(3P-) = 13] and a distorted dianion. The monomeric formulation of 3P- is supported by the form of the IR and EPR spectra. EXAFS analysis of solutions of 3P, 3P-, and 3P2- indicates a large increase in the Fe-Fe separation following reduction (from 2.63 to ca. 3.1-3.55 A). DFT calculations of the 3P, 3P-, 3P2- redox series satisfactorily reproduce the IR spectra in the nu(CO) region and the crystallographic (3P) and EXAFS-derived Fe-Fe distances. Digital simulation of the electrocatalytic response for proton reduction indicates a low rate of dihydrogen evolution from the two-electron, two-proton product of 3P (H23P), with more rapid dihydrogen evolution following further reduction of H23P. Because dihydrogen evolution is not observed upon formation of H2DP, dihydrogen evolution at the two-electron-reduced level does not involve protonation of a hydridic Fe-H ligand. The rates of dihydrogen elimination from H2DP, H23P, and H2Fe2(mu,mu-S(CH2)3S)(CO)6 (H23S) are related to the DFT-calculated H-H distances [H23S (1.880 A) < H23P (2.064 A) < H2DP (3.100 A)], and this suggests a common reaction path for the thiolato- and phosphido-bridged diiron carbonyl compounds.  相似文献

We have studied RNiGe3 (R=Y, Ce-Nd, Sm, Gd-Lu) single crystals by measuring crystal structure and stoichiometry, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance, and specific heat. Clear anisotropies as well as antiferromagnetic ordering in the RNiGe3 series (R=Ce-Nd, Sm, Gd-Tm) have been observed above 1.8 K from the magnetic susceptibility. A metamagnetic transition in this family (except for R=Sm) was detected at 2 K for applied magnetic fields below 70 kOe. The electrical resistivity of this series follows metallic behavior in the high temperature region. Below the antiferromagnetic ordering temperature a significant anisotropy is exhibited in the resistivity and magnetoresistance for different current directions. The anisotropic magnetic, transport, and thermal properties of RNiGe3 compounds are discussed in terms of Ni site occupancy as well as a combination of the effect of formation of a magnetic superzone gap and the crystalline electric field.  相似文献
