The application of semi-clathrate hydrate formation technology for gas separation purposes has gained much attention in recent years. Consequently, there is a demand for experimental data for relevant semi-clathrate hydrate phase equilibria. In this work, semi-clathrate hydrate dissociation conditions for the system comprising mixtures of {CO2 (0.151/0.399 mole fraction) + N2 (0.849/0.601 mole fraction) + 0.05, 0.15, and 0.30 mass fraction tetra-n-butylammonium bromide (TBAB)} aqueous solutions have been measured and are reported. An experimental apparatus which was designed and built in-house was used for the measurements using the isochoric pressure-search method. The range of conditions for the measurements was from 277.1 K to 293.2 K for temperature and pressures up to 16.21 MPa. The phase equilibrium data measured demonstrate the high hydrate promotion effects of TBAB aqueous solutions.  相似文献

Asymmetric ultrafiltration (UF) membranes were prepared from blends of polyethersulfone (PES)/polyacrylonitrile (PAN) via phase inversion method induced by immersion precipitation. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) with four different molecular weights was used as pore former and hydrophilic polymeric additive. N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF) and water were used as solvent and coagulant (nonsolvent), respectively. The effects of different proportion of PES/PAN and molecular weight of PEG on morphology and performance of the prepared membranes were investigated. Performance of the membranes was evaluated using UF experiments of pure water and buffered bovine serum albumin (BSA) solution as feed. The contact angle measurements indicated that the hydrophilicities of PES/PAN membrane increase by increasing the PAN concentration in the casting solution. However, performance of the membranes improves by increasing the PAN concentration in the casting solution up to 20% and then decreases with further addition of PAN. It was found out that the rejection of BSA decreases with increasing the PAN concentration in the casting solution. Furthermore, it was found that the performance of the membranes increases by increasing the molecular weight of PEG up to 1500 Da and then decreases with the higher molecular weights. The present work tries to introduce a high‐performance nano‐composite membrane by using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as its main polymer matrix to meet some specific requirements in industrial gas separations. Different nano‐composite membranes were synthesized by incorporating various amounts of nano‐sized silica particles into the PDMS matrix. A uniform dispersion of nano‐particles in the host membranes was obtained. The nano‐composite membranes were characterized morphologically by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Separation properties, permeability, and ideal selectivity of C3H8, CH4, and H2 through the synthesized nano‐composite membranes with different nano‐particle contents (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 wt%) were investigated at different pressures (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 atm) and constant temperature (35°C). It was found out that a 2 wt% loading of nano‐particles into the PDMS matrix is optimal to obtain the best separation performance. Afterwards, sorption experiments for the synthesized nano‐composite membranes were carried out, and diffusion coefficients of the gases were calculated based on solution‐diffusion mechanism. Gas permeation and sorption experiments showed an increase in sorption and a decrease in diffusion coefficients of the gases through the nano‐composite membranes by adding nano‐particles into the host polymer matrix. In the present paper, the efficiency of an enhanced formulation of the stabilized corrective smoothed particle method (CSPM) for simulation of shock wave propagation and reflection from fixed and moving solid boundaries in compressible fluids is investigated. The Lagrangian nature and its accuracy for imposing the boundary conditions are the two main reasons for adoption of CSPM. The governing equations are further modified for imposition of moving solid boundary conditions. In addition to the traditional artificial viscosity, which can remove numerically induced abnormal jumps in the field values, a velocity field smoothing technique is introduced as an efficient method for stabilizing the solution. The method has been implemented for one- and two-dimensional shock wave propagation and reflection from fixed and moving boundaries and the results have been compared with other available solutions. The method has also been adopted for simulation of shock wave propagation and reflection from infinite and finite solid boundaries.  相似文献

Heavy gauge bosons such as W' are expected to exist in many extensions of the Standard Model. In this paper, the most general Lagrangian for the interaction of W' with top and bottom quarks is considered. This Lagrangian consists of V- A and V + A structure with in general complex couplings. Such interactions produce an Electric Dipole Moment (EDM) for the top quark at one loop level. We predict the allowed ranges for the mass and couplings of W' by using the upper limit on the top quark EDM.  相似文献

High concentrations of antibiotics have been identified in aqueous media, which has diminished the quality of water resources. These compounds are usually highly toxic and have low biodegradability, and there have been reports about their mutagenic or carcinogenic effects. The aim of this study was to apply zero-valent iron-oxide nanoparticles in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and the sonolysis process for the removal of the amoxicillin antibiotic from aqueous media. In this study, zero-valent iron nanoparticles were prepared by an iron chloride reduction method in the presence of sodium borohydride (NaBH4), and the obtained nanoparticles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and vibrating-sample magnetometry (VSM). Then, using a Fenton-like process, synthetic wastewater containing 100 to 500 mg/L amoxicillin antibiotic was investigated, and the effects of different parameters, such as the frequency (1 and 2 kHz), contact time (15 to 120 min), the concentration of hydrogen peroxide (0.3%, 0.5%, and 6%), the dose of zero-valent iron nanoparticles (0.05, 0.1, 0.5 g/L), and pH (3, 5, 10) were thoroughly studied. A pH of 3, hydrogen peroxide concentration of 3%, ultrasonic-wave frequency of 130 kHz, zero-valent iron nanoparticles of 0.5 g/L, and contaminant concentration of 100 mg/L were obtained as the optimal conditions of the combined US/H2O2/nZVI process. Under the optimal conditions of the combined process of zero-valent iron nanoparticles and hydrogen peroxide in the presence of ultrasonic waves, a 99.7% removal efficiency of amoxicillin was achieved in 120 min. The results show that the combined US/H2O2/nZVI process could be successfully used to remove environmental contaminants, including antibiotics such as amoxicillin, with a high removal percentage.  相似文献

A facile and rapid multicomponent synthesis of pharmaceutically diverse 1H-isochromenes, 4H-chromenes, and ortho-aminocarbonitrile tetrahydronaphthalenes has been developed from benzaldehyde, malononitrile, and cyclohexanone. Three different methods from the same reactants, solvent, temperature, and catalyst lead to three products with excellent yields. All the reactions were followed with the Michael addition and cyclization. In this study, morpholine was used as an active metal-free base catalyst that increases the yields of products and decreases the time of reactions.  相似文献
