Abstract

This article is presenting the common experimental specimen for determining the fracture toughness of the first pure mode and second pure mode. The Notched beam is chosen from a presented common specimen in the form of three-point flexure beam and four-point flexure beam that were built in the concrete laboratory. For prevention of cracks growth, a critical load of first pure mode and the second pure mode of each specimen computed. Obtained results are used for computing the fracture toughness. For the purpose of investigating the effective fracture parameters in the suggested specimen, finite element analysis on the mentioned geometry is performed. Obtained results show that different parameters are effective on the fracture toughness including crack length, cement percentage, water and the thickness of biggest used aggregate in the sand. Also with changing each of these parameters, the fracture mechanic properties are changed. Each of these effects is examined separately in this article and the conclusions presented in tables and figures.

In this paper we introduce a numerical conjugacy invariant for planar maps with homoclinic points. This invariant can be estimated based on partial information about the location of compact pieces of the stable and unstable manifolds of the system. The invariant is also related to topological entropy, and we indicate a method by which good bounds on the entropy of a system can be obtained.  相似文献

Asphalt binder was modified by low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) polymers to investigate the structure–property relationships of polymer-modified asphalt (PMA). The PMA was prepared in a high-shear blender at 160 °C. The optimum blending time (OBT) for each polymer was determined following a separate investigation. OBT was influenced by Mw, MWD, and polymer structure. The influence of Mw of LDPE and vinyl acetate (VA) content of EVA on PMAs was studied by rheological tools. Polymer modification improved the rheological properties of base asphalt. EVA–PMAs were found to be less temperature sensitive than LDPE-modified asphalts. LDPE modification increased flow activation energy (Ea) but EVA modification decreased Ea. Both VA content and Mw of LDPE have influenced the storage stability of PMAs. The low-temperature properties of PMAs and short ageing tests were not influenced by polymer type. On the other hand, the high-temperature properties of PMAs were strongly influenced by Mw of LDPE and VA content of EVA. Overall, EVA with low VA content showed the best temperature resistance to high- temperature deformations, the highest upper service temperature as well as the best storage stability.  相似文献

This work is dealing with the natural convection heat transfer in a square filled with porous medium that has been extended according to the Nield and Kuznetsov model to tridisperse porous medium. Considering impermeable walls which the horizontal ones are insulated and vertical ones are assumed to be isothermal, the governing equations are set as the three equations for momentum and three equations for energy for three phases of porosity and are numerically solved utilizing finite element method. In this study isothermal contours, streamlines and Nusselt number values are foremost criteria which are presented for three levels of porosity. The influence of various governing parameters on the heat transfer is investigated.  相似文献

This paper inquires the effectiveness of a PCM-based heat sink as a reliable solution to portable electronic devices. This sink is composed of a PCM with low thermal conductivity and fins to boost its conductivity. The optimization is subjected to fixed heat sink volume filled with PCM between vertical equidistant fins. New fins are installed in the unheated space existing in each enclosure which is not involved in thermal distribution from vertical fins to the PCM. Based on the same principle, new fins generations are augmented stepwise to the multi-scale structure. The steps of adding fins will continue up to the point that the objective function reaches its maximal value, i.e., maximizing the longest safe operation time without allowing the electronics to reach the critical temperature. The results indicate that in each length of the enclosure, the optimum volume fraction and the best fins distance values exist in which the heat sink performance becomes maximum, and adding more fins lowers the performance of the heat sink. Increasing the enclosure’s length by \(2^{n}\) does not change them. For an enclosure with constant length, the optimal number of steps for adding fins within the enclosure is a function of the fin thickness. The results indicate that increasing the thickness changes the optimal number of adding fins inside the enclosure (normally a decrease). As the fin thickness is lowered, there will be a higher effect by adding vertical fins in the enclosure. Numerical simulations cover the Rayleigh number range \(2\times 10^{5}\le \hbox {Ra}_{\mathrm{H}} \le 2.7\times 10^{8}\), where H is the heat sink height.  相似文献

岩土材料通常呈现出成层水平分布特点, 即可将其视为横观各向同性材料, 横观各向同性对于岩土材料的变形以及强度值都会产生显著的影响. 基于已提出的t强度准则, t强度准则是基于各向同性单元体中存在有效滑移面来构建的, 并根据该空间有效滑移面上主剪应力与主法向应力的比值达到一定阈值为破坏条件. 在空间中存在有效滑移面与物理沉积面, 基于上述两个面在空间的位置关系, 用两面夹角作为表征横观各向同性对剪切强度影响程度的参量, 并假定当该夹角值越大, 则各向异性对强度贡献程度越大, 对应更大的应力比强度值, 反之, 则对应更小的应力比强度值. 基于上述思路并类比将其推广为正交三维各向异性准则, 基于三维各向异性材料的三维沉积面, 提出了三维特征沉积面的概念, 并基于空间滑移面与三维特征沉积面之间的夹角作为度量各向异性程度的变量, 提出了基于两面角作为参量考虑原生各向异性的应力比强度公式, 并利用该应力比强度公式来修正已提出的t强度准则, 最终建立了考虑各向异性影响的t准则公式. 在上述准则基础上, 考虑将各向异性应力空间转换为各向同性应力空间的思路, 在各向异性t准则基础上, 推导得到了基于各向异性强度t准则的变换应力公式, 利用变换应力公式可以将传统的以p, q为变量的各向同性本构模型转变为可考虑各向异性的三维本构模型. 通过对岩土材料的强度以及真三轴条件下的应力应变关系试验数据预测, 验证了所提的各向异性t准则及其变换应力公式的有效性及适用性.  相似文献

在单元刚度损伤系数和振型扩阶的基础上,建立了单元的损伤控制方程,提出了一种不完备测试自由度下的损伤识别方法。该方法以单元刚度损伤系数作为识别量,通过计算结构损伤前后频率和振型的改变,然后利用控制方程反解出损伤系数,从而确定出结构损伤位置和大小。悬臂梁桁架结构的数值模拟表明,在一定的噪声水平下可以同时成功地识别出的损伤位置和程度,而且对噪声有较强的鲁棒性。  相似文献

提出了一种计算二维有限变形弹塑性摩擦接触问题形状设计灵敏度的算法. 采用主动集策略和mortar方法处理接触边线上的约束条件. 在mortar接触边线的切线和法线方向上采用相同的名义罚函数,提出基于名义罚函数的移动摩擦锥算法来正则化接触约束条件,发展了一种新的二维多体有限变形摩擦接触算法. 在此基础上, 通过将离散形式的摩擦接触问题控制方程对形状设计变量微分,得到了该路径相关问题的直接微分法解析设计灵敏度计算格式, 其节点位移灵敏度方程在每个增量步不用迭代、直接求解. 与国际上现有的二维多体有限变形摩擦接触问题的解析设计灵敏度算法相比,本算法不需分解为法向和切向推导,表达式较简洁,便于编程实现. 数值算例验证了算法的精度和有效性.   相似文献

In this paper, the Nonlinear Normal Modes (NNMs) analysis for the case of three-to-one (3:1) internal resonance of a slender simply supported beam in presence of compressive axial load resting on a nonlinear elastic foundation is studied. Using the Euler?CBernoulli beam model, the governing nonlinear PDE of the beam??s transverse vibration and also its associated boundary conditions are extracted. These nonlinear motion equation and boundary condition relations are solved simultaneously using four different approximate-analytical solution techniques, namely the method of Multiple Time Scales, the method of Normal Forms, the method of Shaw and Pierre, and the method of King and Vakakis. The obtained results at this stage using four different methods which are all in time?Cspace domain are compared and it is concluded that all the methods result in a similar answer for the amplitude part of the transverse vibration. At the next step, the nonlinear normal modes are obtained. Furthermore, the effect of axial compressive force in the dynamic analysis of such a beam is studied. Finally, under three-to-one-internal resonance condition the NNMs of the beam and the steady-state stability analysis are performed. Then the effect of changing the values of different parameters on the beam??s dynamic response is also considered. Moreover, 3-D plots of stability analysis in the steady-state condition and the beam??s amplitude frequency response curves are presented.  相似文献
