Self-excited vibrations known as chatter are considered as the most detrimental issue in micro-turning processes. Occurring unpredictably, they adversely affect the tool life, productivity rate and surface quality of the machining processes. In this paper, a novel machining arm is modeled as a piezoelectric stacked rod which is subjected to a chatter force in the orthogonal micro-turning process. Due to the fact that machining processes are affected by various sources of uncertainties, H∞ robust control approach is used to suppress the chatter vibrations of the machining arm in the presence of tool wear and dynamic model parameter variations. Also, input control force of the system is provided by exciting the input voltage of piezoelectric layers of the rod. In order to be certain that the designed controller succeeds in suppressing vibrations of the effective structural modes, behavior of the first three modes of vibrations are considered in the final response of the machining arm. In the following, performance of the robust H∞ controller is compared with a modified PID controller. Simulation results show that the H∞ controller improves the robustness and performance of the system against uncertainties. The PID controller extends the stability region of the sharp tool and fails to achieve this purpose for the worn tool although its performance is acceptable in suppressing chatter vibrations.
The problem of controlling the relative position and velocity in multi-spacecraft formation flying in the planetary orbits is an enabling technology for current and future research. This paper proposes a family of tracking controllers for different dynamics of Spacecraft Formation Flying (SFF) in the framework of port-Hamiltonian (pH) systems through application of timed Interconnection and Damping Assignment Passivity-Based Control (IDA-PBC). The leader–multi-follower architecture is used to address this problem. In this regard, first we model the spacecraft motion in the pH framework in the Earth Centered Inertial frame and then transform it to the Hill frame which is a special local coordinate system. By this technique, we may present a unified structure which encompasses linear/nonlinear dynamics, with/without perturbation. Then, using the timed IDA-PBC method and the contraction analysis, a new method for controlling a family of SFF dynamics is developed. The numerical simulations show the efficiency of the approach in two different cases of missions.

We report the synthesis of monomers for atom-transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and a reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) agent bearing trifluoroborate iminiums (TIMs), which are quantitatively converted into potassium acyltrifluoroborates (KATs) after polymerization. The resulting KAT-containing polymers are suitable for rapid amide-forming ligations for both post-polymerization modification and polymer conjugation. The polymer conjugation occurs rapidly, even under dilute (micromolar) aqueous conditions at ambient temperatures, thereby enabling the synthesis of a variety of linear and star-shaped block copolymers. In addition, we applied post-polymerization modification to the covalent linking of a photocaged cyclic antibiotic (gramicidin S) to the side chains of the KAT-containing copolymer. Cellular assays revealed that the polymer–antibiotic conjugate is biocompatible and provides efficient light-controlled release of the antibiotic on demand. 相似文献
Pd-PEPPSI type complexes are widely used as precatalyst in a variety of organic reactions, including the Negishi, Kumada and Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions. The aim of this research is to determine potential proposed reaction pathways 1, 2, or 2′ (See Schemes 1 and S1–S4 ) for Pd-PEPPSI precatalyst activation in the presence of ethylene glycol as a solvent also in the gas phase at Cam-B3LYP-D3 method nominated among eight DFT methods examined. There is also investigation into the impact of promoter bases (NaOEt, NaOiPr, NaOtBu) on precatalyst activation of Pd-PEPPSI. Eventually, the most favorable proposed reaction pathway and promoter base for reducing Pd(II) to Pd(0) are predicted computationally. Notably, our findings are consistent with the organ Pd-PEPPSI type complexes that offer increased catalytic activity and provide basic information in the presence of solvents designing the monoligated Pd(0)-solvent. 相似文献

Input design has a dominant role in developing the dynamic model of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) through system identification. Optimal input design is the process of generating informative inputs that can be used to provide a good-quality dynamic model of AUV. In this paper, amplitude-modulated pseudo-random binary signal (APRBS) inputs are optimally designed in order to estimate the hydrodynamic derivatives of an AUV’s nonlinear dynamic model. The input controls are designed so as to minimize uncertainty in estimating hydrodynamic derivatives. The employed approach can design multiple inputs and apply constraints on an AUV system’s inputs and outputs. The genetic algorithm is utilized to solve the constraint optimization problem. The presented algorithm is used for designing the input signals of Hydrolab300 AUV, and the estimation obtained by these inputs is compared with that of zigzag maneuver. According to the results, the designed APRBS inputs improve the uncertainties that exist in estimating hydrodynamic derivatives better than zigzag inputs. 相似文献
A robust protection method for phenol was demonstrated by the use of durable benzenesulfonyl group, which survives various harsh reaction conditions using Grignard reagent, organolithium reagent, metal alkoxide, phosgene, mineral, and Lewis acids. A facile deprotection condition utilizing pulverized KOH (5 equiv) and t-BuOH (10 equiv) in hot toluene makes this protocol as a practical method, which can be applied to the multistep synthesis of biologically and medicinally important polyphenol compounds. 相似文献
