A Brabender mixer was used to deagglomerate and disperse organomodified montmorillonite Cloisite® 30B (3 wt %) in polylactide (PLA) matrix to obtain nanocomposite systems. The influence of compounding conditions such as blending time (6.5, 10, 20, and 30 min) and compression molding on the nanostructure of nanocomposites was investigated. Molecular weight changes of the PLA matrices induced by melt compounding were determined. Good rheological behavior of the PLA during melt blending with Cloisite® 30B was observed. Prolongation of the blending process improved homogenization of the nanocomposites with the formation of more intercalated and exfoliated structures as revealed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X‐ray analysis. Some orientation of the silicate nanoplatelets induced by compression molding of the nanocomposites was revealed by TEM. It was found that an increase of dispersion degree of the silicate layers modified pronouncedly the physical properties of nanocomposites through an increase of thermal stability as revealed by the thermogravimetric analysis, a decrease of crystallizability of the PLA matrix during melt‐crystallization and upon heating from the glassy, amorphous state. Rheological properties of the nanocomposites determined during dynamic frequency sweep appeared to be very sensitive to the nanostructure evolution. Moreover, the scanning electron microscopy and light microscopy investigations showed the presence of the micron‐size inorganic contaminations in the nanocomposites originating from organoclay Cloisite® 30B. Natural dyes, namely, indigo carmine, cochineal carmine, curcumin and annatto, were encapsulated in silica by a sol-gel method and applied in the dyeing of different textile fibers by exhaustion. For comparative reasons, dyeing using the free (non-encapsulated) bare dyes was also carried out. The hybrid materials were analyzed by a set of techniques to investigate their elemental, structural, textural and morphological properties, and the results showed that it was possible to obtain stable natural dyes for applications in textile dyeing. The silica-structured dyes showed better affinities with the fibers (WO, PA, PAC and PET) in dyeing with cochineal carmine, while cotton (CO) showed better affinities with the encapsulated curcumin and annatto dyes. The performances of the encapsulated dyes were evaluated by color and washing fastness measurements and resulted in improved dye absorption and wash fastness properties. The color change and color transfer measurements of the encapsulated dyes were better (rated at 4–5 on a scale of 1–5) compared to the bare dyes.  相似文献

Because of their unique visual optic and electronic properties, substituted quinones are commonly used as dyes and pigments; nevertheless, a theoretic background of relationship between the structures and optical properties of such compounds seems to be still undeveloped. Two crystalline forms of 2‐methoxynaphth‐1‐yl‐naphthoquinone (MNQ) have been synthesized and characterized by means X‐ray, NMR, UV–VIS, as well as, MS spectroscopy. The interpretation of intriguing optical properties of two crystalline forms of MNQ, based on detailed spectral and structural characterization, as well as, DFT and MP2 computations clearly connects the conformation of the molecules with their optical and electronic properties. Thus, flatter conformation, stabilized by crystal net force, favours the intense electron density transition from auxochrome to chromophore moiety (which corresponds excitation from HOMO to LUMO), as well as, favours the π‐stacking interaction, that eventually results in colour enhancement. At the same time, small molecules of solvents included into the crystal net allow molecules of arylnaphthoquinones to adopt less rigid conformation what has a dramatic optical outcome. The intended aim of this report is to deliver a short review of AFIT experience in the field of the blade health monitoring. A special attention has been put down for diagnostic methods (tip timing, modal analysis, metal magnetic memory) and symptom verification. Knowledge, which is necessary for reliable diagnosis and prognosis, during engine operation, as well as during overhaul and numerical simulation. It has been proven that the resonance characteristic shape analysis gives an ability to determinate if we deal with fatigue or with a blade crack. Early fatigue symptoms, i.e. modal properties of material strengthening and weakening phases have been shown. A new source of diagnostic information to ‘actively’ control blade fatigue (VHCF, HCF & LCF) has been described. The discussed problems have been illustrated with some examples. Reaction of chloranilic acid with N-methylpiperidine in acetonitrile has been studied. The product of the reaction is an unusually stable anion radical of quinone. The presence of radicals has been confirmed by EPR measurements. Stability constant, extinction coefficients and thermodynamic reaction parameters are reported. Mechanism of the reaction is proposed. Heats of formation (ΔHf) and proton affinities (PA) of 2-, 3-, and 4-monosubstituted pyridines in the gas phase are calculated using the AM1 and PM3 semiempirical methods. The following substitutents are considered: NO2, CN, CF3, CHO, F, Cl, COCH3, H, CH3, OCH3, SCH3, NH2, and N(CH3)2. The results are compared with the experimental data. Both methods reproduce the ΔHf with comparble accuracy; the rms deviations are 4.1 (AM1) and 4.5 kcal/mol (PM3) for the free bases and 9.5 (AM1) and 9.7 kcal/mol (PM3) for their conjugated acids. The PA are systematically underestimated by both methods, but AM1 appears to be clearly better than PM3 for reproducing the experimental values. The rms deviations for AM1 and PM3 are 5.1 and 9.6 kcal/mol, respectively. This is due to a cancellation of systematic errors in the calculated ΔHf in the AM1 case and to a summation of the errors in the PM3 case. Both methods correctly reproduce conformations of the molecules under consideration.  相似文献

In this work we demonstrate the properties of spatial solitary waves in chiral nematic liquid crystals with an external electric field. Such self-trapped beams, called nematicons, were created due to the optical reorientation nonlinearity for a light power of a few tens of milliwatts. We show that the direction of propagation of such nematicons can be changed by applying an external electric field. Additionally, this effect can be modified by changing the input polarization of the light beam. The experimental results were obtained in four independent guiding layers created by a chiral nematic structure.  相似文献

We prove the existence of C0 semigroups related to some birth-and-death type infinite systems of ODEs with possibly unbounded coefficients, in the scale of spaces lp, For some particular cases we also provide a characterization of the spectra of their generators. For the proof of the generation theorem in the case p > 1 we extend the Chernoff perturbation result ([9]) on relatively bounded perturbations of generators. The results presented here have been used in [5] and they play important role for analysing chaoticity of dynamical systems considered there. As a by-product of our approach we obtain a result related to the classical Shubin theorem [20]. We show that this theorem, saying that for a class of bounded infinite matrices the spectrum of the corresponding maximal operator in lp is independent on cannot be extended to unbounded matrices.  相似文献
