Open-tubular capillaries have been joined together for use in on-column ion-exchange preconcentration of anions by capillary electrochromatography (CEC) with elution by a transient isotachophoretic gradient. This involved the coupling of a preconcentration capillary and a separation capillary using a PTFE sleeve. Such coupling allowed precise lengths of differently coated capillaries to be joined in-line to form a single multi-mode column. The different segments could be tailored to optimize a separation by either altering the length of each segment to precisely manipulate the amount of stationary phase present or by changing the internal diameter of each segment to alter the phase ratio in the chromatographic column without affecting the path length for UV detection. In this work, a segmented in-line capillary was used in conjunction with a fluoride-octanesulfonate discontinuous electrolyte system to increase the number of anions that could be preconcentrated and separated. Quaternary ammonium functionalised latex particles were used for creating the preconcentration segment and the separation segment was coated with poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride). This allowed the detection of trace anions in drinking water and in situ sampling of river water for the analysis of trace inorganic anions. The repeatability of producing the quaternary ammonium functionalized latex-coated segments was assessed and the effect of segmentation on peak efficiency was investigated. 相似文献

Semigroups decomposable into a semilattice of Archimedean semigroups, having certain additional properties such as the intra-, left, right and complete -regularity, have been investigated in many papers. We report on the identification of efficient combinations of catalyst, carbon feedstock, and temperature for the ethanol chemical vapour deposition (CVD) growth of single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) onto silicon substrates.Different catalyst preparations, based on organometallic salts (Co, Fe, Mo, Ni acetate, and bimetallic mixtures), have been spin coated onto thermally grown silicon dioxide on silicon chips to perform tests in a temperature range between 500 and 900 °C.The samples have been then characterized by Raman spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. Assuming the growth of high-quality isolated nanotubes as target, the ratio in Raman spectra between the intensity of the G peak and of the D peak has been used as the main parameter to evaluate the performance of the catalytic process. A comparison made for both single metals and bimetallic mixtures points out best conditions to achieve efficient CVD growth of SWCNTs. 相似文献

Contrary to a standard definition of diabatic states (i.e., those without momentum-dependent coupling), based on the construction from adiabatic ones, we defined diabatic states as bright and dark states of a given experiment. Namely, they are defined as states providing maximum, respectively, zero value of electronic transition dipole moments projected to a given polarization vector. Second, the state from (or to) which the optical transition is performed is not from the space of investigated electronic excited state manifold, but it is chosen by the observer. It is shown, for this case, that the inter-state coupling is a general function of vibrational coordinates. The explicit dependence of the inter-state coupling on vibrational coordinates is particularly important for system with strong Stokes shift. The role of exact definitions of bright and dark states as well as the inter-state coupling is discussed with respect to the coherent structure of electronic population observed in optical spectroscopy. 相似文献

We consider a class of modifications to the exponential QCD sum rules, replacing the energy variableq 2 by (q 2) k withk positive integer. As a result of this modification, (i) the relative role of the condensates on the theoretical side is changed, (ii) the integral on the phenomenological side acquires a rapidly decreasing weight function and (iii) the way of approaching infinity in theq 2 complex plane splits intok rays. We explicitly discuss the modified sum rules withk=1,k=2 andk=3 for the ρ meson and conclude that, unlike to thek=1 case, thek=2 andk=3 sum rules do not yield a satisfactory scheme for the prediction of the resonance parameters unless many higher condensates are known. We show that, for practical applications with the present knowledge of condensates, the standard exponential QCD sum rules are the most suitable ones out of the class considered. 相似文献
