The Effects of Charged Amino Acid Side-Chain Length on Diagonal Cross-Strand Interactions between Carboxylate- and Ammonium-Containing Residues in a β-Hairpin

The β-sheet is one of the common protein secondary structures, and the aberrant aggregation of β-sheets is implicated in various neurodegenerative diseases. Cross-strand interactions are an important determinant of β-sheet stability. Accordingly, both diagonal and lateral cross-strand interactions have been studied. Surprisingly, diagonal cross-strand ion-pairing interactions have yet to be investigated. Herein, we present a systematic study on the effects of charged amino acid side-chain length on a diagonal ion-pairing interaction between carboxylate- and ammonium-containing residues in a β-hairpin. To this end, 2D-NMR was used to investigate the conformation of the peptides. The fraction folded population and the folding free energy were derived from the chemical shift data. The fraction folded population for these peptides with potential diagonal ion pairs was mostly lower compared to the corresponding peptide with a potential lateral ion pair. The diagonal ion-pairing interaction energy was derived using double mutant cycle analysis. The Asp2-Dab9 (Asp: one methylene; Dab: two methylenes) interaction was the most stabilizing (−0.79 ± 0.14 kcal/mol), most likely representing an optimal balance between the entropic penalty to enable the ion-pairing interaction and the number of side-chain conformations that can accommodate the interaction. These results should be useful for designing β-sheet containing molecular entities for various applications.     

Comparison of the Structural Evolution of β Polypropylene during the Sequential and Simultaneous Biaxial Stretching Process

In this work, the lamellar structural evolution and microvoids variations of β polypropylene(β-PP) during the processing of two different stretching methods, sequential biaxial stretching and simultaneous biaxial stretching, were investigated in detail. It was found that different stretching methods led to significantly different lamellae deformation modes, and the microporous membranes obtained from the simultaneous biaxial stretching exhibited better mechanical properties. For the sequential biaxial stretching, abundant coarse fibers originated from the tight accumulation of the lamellae parallel to the longitudinal stretching direction, whereas the lamellae perpendicular to the stretching direction were easily deformed and separated. Those coarse fibers were difficult to be separated to form micropores during the subsequent transverse stretching process, resulting in a poor micropores distribution. However, for the simultaneous biaxial stretching, the β crystal had the same deformation mode, that is, the lamellae distributed in different directions were all destroyed, forming abundant microvoids and little coarse fibers.

Common (π,π) Band Folding and Surface Reconstruction in Fe As-Based Superconductors

High resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES) measurements are carried out on CaKFe_4 As_4,KCa_2 Fe_4 As_4 F_2 and(Ba_(0.6)K_(0.4))Fe_2 As_2 superconductors.Clear evidence of band folding between the Brillouin zone center and corners with a(π,π) wave vector has been found from the measured Fermi surface and band structures in all the three kinds of superconductors.A dominant ~(1/2)×~(1/2) surface reconstruction is observed on the cleaved surface of CaKFe_4As_4 by scanning tunneling microscopy(STM) measurements.We propose that the commonly observed ~(1/2)×~(1/2) reconstruction in the FeAs-based superconductors provides a general scenario to understand the origin of the(π,π) band folding.Our observations provide new insights in understanding the electronic structure and superconductivity mechanism in iron-based superconductors.     

MRI参数对腰椎间盘突出症患者椎间盘退变程度的评估价值及与JOA、VAS评分相关性

SEM实验室局域网构建及数据的安全传输

针对扫描电子显微镜（SEM）实验室数据传输的问题,将局域网运用到SEM实验室中,对实验室现有设备进行局域网的组建,组建的局域网具有方便、快捷、提高工作效率且便于规范统一管理流程的优点．提出的方案可以应用于其它分析实验室多台仪器设备数据的传输．     

人尿液中麻黄碱和可待因的液-液-液微萃取/高效液相色谱法测定

建立了液-液-液微萃取与高效液相色谱联用技术快速分析尿样中麻黄碱和可待因的方法.优化得到的最佳萃取条件:萃取溶剂为80μL苯,接受相为1.0μL 0.2 mol·L-1的HCI,搅拌速率为80 r·min-1,萃取时间为40 min.在该条件下.获得了高的富集因子(大于117倍).方法的线性范围为麻黄碱0.05-10mg·L-1,可待因0.10-10 mg·L-1,相关系数(r)大于0.997,检出限分别为0.025 mg·L-1和0.05 mg·L-1,相对标准偏差小于9%.该方法能有效地去除尿样中的干扰物质,有机溶剂消耗少,萃取效率高,可同时测定尿样中麻黄碱和可待因.     

绿茶对水溶液中Pb2+和Cd2+吸附性能初步研究

研究了绿茶对溶液中Pb2 和Cd2 离子的吸附和解吸性质。考察了pH、温度、吸附时间对绿茶吸附性能的影响,得到吸附动力学曲线和吸附等温线。结果表明,茶叶在pH为4~6的弱酸性范围内对两种金属离子的吸附效果最佳,在30℃时,茶叶对Pb2 和Cd2 的饱和吸附量分别为46.66 mg/g和33.29mg/g,吸附符合Langmuir吸附等温方程,并对吸附机理进行了初步的探讨。对解吸条件研究发现,用0.1 mol/L HCl和EDTA作为解吸剂,对Pb2 和Cd2 的解吸效果较好,解吸率达80%以上,可有效回收重金属Pb2 和Cd2 。
