A Selective RhI‐Catalyzed Substrate‐Controlled C−C Bond Activation of Benzyl Sulfonamide/Alcohol‐Tethered Alkylidenecyclopropanes

Benzyl sulfonamide/alcohol‐tethered alkylidenecyclopropanes undergo a rhodium‐catalyzed and substrate‐controlled selective C?C bond activation, producing three types of common organic structural units: benzo[c]azepine/oxepines, dihydronaphthalen‐1‐amines, and conjugated dienes. Epoxidation and aromatization of these products to construct two useful compounds have also been achieved.     

Michael Addition Catalyzed by Chiral Secondary Amine Phosphoramide Using Fluorinated Silyl Enol Ethers: Formation of Quaternary Carbon Stereocenters

A chiral secondary amine phosphoramide was developed and identified as a powerful catalyst for the Mukaiyama–Michael addition of fluorinated enol silyl ethers to tetrasubstituted olefins. The resulting products are obtained with high enantioselectivities and contain a quaternary carbon stereocenter bearing either a difluoroalkyl or monofluoroalkyl group.     

Gold‐Catalyzed Fluorination–Hydration: Synthesis of α‐Fluorobenzofuranones from 2‐Alkynylphenol Derivatives

The Au^I‐catalyzed fluorination–hydration of 2‐alkynylphenol derivatives in the presence of Selectfluor [1‐chloromethyl‐4‐fluoro‐1,4‐diazoniabicyclo‐[2.2.2]octane bis(tetrafluoroborate)] has been developed. This method provides straightforward access to α‐fluorobenzofuranones with the construction of C?O, C=O, and C?F bonds in a single step on the basis of an Au^I/Au^III redox catalytic cycle. Several control experiments, including the asymmetric variant of this reaction, were also conducted to gain insight into the reaction mechanism.     

Research on the defect structure and g factors for the tetragonal (CrO4)3− impurity center in ZrSiO4: Cr5+ crystal

ABSTRACT

The EPR g factors g// and g⊥ for the tetragonal (CrO₄)^3? impurity center in ZrSiO4: Cr⁵⁺ crystal are studied from the high-order perturbation formulas based on the two-mechanism (the crystal field and charge-transfer mechanisms) model. The studies indicate that differing from the tetragonally-elongated host (SiO4)^4- tetrahedron, the dominant defect structure of the substitutional (CrO₄)^3? tetrahedron is tetragonally- compressed with the ground state |d_z² due to the Jahn-Teller distortion. Furthermore, the agreement of g factors between calculation and experiment requires a small admixture of the first excited state |d_x²_?y² to the ground state |d_z² due to the vibrational motion of ligands, which leads a compressed (CrO₄)^3? tetrahedron to become a twinkling elongated one, These results are discussed.     

Comparison of elemental contents of Korean space foods using instrumental neutron activation analysis

The analysis of mineral contents in space foods is needed to obtain an information on a comprehensive elemental composition as well as the investigation on the effects of human nutrition and health based on the dietary intake of mineral elements. Recently, six items of new Korean space foods (KSFs) such as kimchi, bibimbap, bulgogi, a ramen, a mulberry beverage and a fruit punch which was developed by the KAERI, and the contents of more than 15 elements in the samples were examined by using instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Five biological certified reference materials, NIST SRM were used for analytical quality control. The results were compared with those of common Korean foods reported, and these results will be applied toward the identification of irradiated foods.     

气相色谱-质谱法分析树苔浸膏的成分

采用分子蒸馏法对树苔浸膏进行分级分离,用气相色谱-质谱法对各级馏分进行定性和定量分析。结果表明:三级馏分共鉴定出55种成分,主要成分是苔黑酚单甲醚、分歧扁枝衣素单甲醚、扁枝衣酸乙酯、柔扁枝衣酸甲酯、β-苔黑酚羧酸甲酯、赤星衣酸乙酯、苔黑酚羧酸乙酯、柔扁枝衣酸乙酯、棕榈酸乙酯、油酸乙酯、亚麻酸乙酯和亚油酸乙酯。     

Poly(4,8‐bis(2‐ethylhexyloxy)benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene vinylene): Synthesis,optical and photovoltaic properties

A new benzodithiophene (BDT)‐based polymer, poly(4,8‐bis(2‐ethylhexyloxy)benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene vinylene) (PBDTV), was synthesized by Pd‐catalyzed Stille‐coupling method. The polymer is soluble in common organic solvents and possesses high thermal stability. PBDTV film shows a broad absorption band covering from 350 nm to 618 nm, strong photoluminescence peaked at 545 nm and high hole mobility of 4.84 × 10^?3 cm²/Vs. Photovoltaic properties of PBDTV were studied by fabricating the polymer solar cells based on PBDTV as donor and PC₇₀BM as acceptor. With the weight ratio of PBDTV: PC₇₀BM of 1:4 and the active layer thickness of 65 nm, the power conversion efficiency of the device reached 2.63% with V_oc = 0.71 V, I_sc = 6.46 mA/cm², and FF = 0.57 under the illumination of AM1.5, 100 mW/cm². © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
