Compton to Rayleigh scattering intensity ratios (IC/IR) have been measured using X-rays with energy 17.44 keV for single-component materials with atomic number Z from 4 (Be) to 31 (Ga) and binary compounds of stoichiometric composition. The measurements have been performed using two optical schemes: an energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence scheme with a molybdenum secondary target and wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence one. The processing of the spectra was carried out by fitting with Pearson VII functions. For single-component and binary standards, the experimental dependence of the scattering intensity ratio on the atomic number was found to be the same. This confirms the additivity of the contribution of different atoms to the scattering. The dependence has a complex shape but is well described by the theoretical relationship for IC/IR with correction on the difference between Compton and Rayleigh radiation absorption coefficients. Two ranges of atomic number values are defined, in which the effective atomic number Zeff can be determined by the calibration method using this dependence: for Z from 4 to 7 with low error of ΔZeff =±0.15 and for Zeff from 10 to 18 with low error of ΔZeff =±0.69. A change in the shape of the Compton peak and an overestimated value of the of the Compton and Rayleigh peak intensity ratio when passing from a single-component scatterer (Al or Si) to their oxides Al2O3 or SiO2, respectively, have been revealed.  相似文献

Two photosensitizing systems: (1) tetrakis(4-hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin (p-THPP) encapsulated in sterically stabilized liposomes (SSL) and (2) p-THPP functionalized by covalent attachment of poly(ethylene glycol) (p-THPP–PEG2000) were studied in vitro. The dark and photo cytotoxicity of these systems were evaluated on two cell lines: HCT 116, a human colorectal carcinoma cell line, and DU 145, a prostate cancer cell line and compared with these determined for free p-THPP. It was demonstrated that both encapsulation in liposomes as well as attachment of PEG chain result in pronounced reduction of the dark cytotoxicity of the parent porphyrin. The liposomal formulation showed higher than p-THPP–PEG2000 photocytotoxicity towards both cell lines used in the studies.  相似文献

The asymmetry of velocity distributions of projectile-like fragments produced in heavy ion collisions is considered. The calculations performed in the transport model approach (Vlasov kinetic equation with the collision term) are compared with the experimental data for the 22Ne (40MeV/nucleon) + 9Be and 18O (35 MeV/nucleon) + 9Be(181Ta) reactions. It is found that the velocity distributions contain two components: a direct component centered at the beam velocity and a dissipative component at lower energies, leading to asymmetry of velocity distributions. The direct component is interpreted empirically within the Goldhaber model, and the centroids and widths σ0 of the distributions for each fragment are extracted. It is found that value of σ0 derived from experimental data is smaller by a factor of 2 than the theoretical one. The dissipative (also called deep inelastic) component is described well by the transport calculations. It is shown that the ratio of yields of direct and dissipative components, which determines the asymmetry of velocity distributions, depends on shape of the deflection function. The spectrum of gamma rays from the reaction 160Gd(n, n′γ) and their angular distribution with respect to the neutron-beam axis are measured by using fast reactor neutrons. Changes in the diffuse reflectance spectra of titanium-dioxide micropowders (initial, modified by nanoparticles, treated with oxidants such as potassium peroxoborate and sodium peroxide, or ultraviolet irradiated in an oxygen atmosphere) in the range 0.3–2.1 μm after irradiation with ultraviolet light, electrons, or protons are analyzed.
