Spin Kostka polynomials

We introduce a spin analogue of Kostka polynomials and show that these polynomials enjoy favorable properties parallel to the Kostka polynomials. Further connections of spin Kostka polynomials with representation theory are established.

In this paper, we establish the analogue of Kolmogorov-type law of the logarithm for an array of independent random variables. The main methods are to develop the classic Bernstein’s and Kolmogorov’s inequality and replace the boundedness condition by conditions on the cumulant transform.

Estimator of a change point in single index models

This paper considers the problem of change point in single index models. In order to obtain asymptotically valid confidence intervals for the estimation of the change point, the convergence rate and asymptotic distribution of the change point estimate is studied. Some simulation results are presented which show that the numerical performance of our estimator is satisfactory.     

Moderate and Large Deviation Estimate for the Markov-Binomial Distribution

Considering the Markov-binomial distribution, we obtain the moderate deviation and large deviation estimates for the number of successes S _n and the number of experiments Y(r) until the rth success.
