Fine powder of Typha latifolia L. root was used for adsorption of copper and zinc ions from buffered and nonbuffered aqueous solutions. The adsorption reached equilibrium in 60 min. During this time, more than 90 % of the adsorption process was completed. The effect of initial pH, initial concentration of metal ion, and contact time was investigated in a batch system at room temperature. The optimum adsorption performance was observed at pH 5.00 and 4.25 for nonbuffered solutions of Cu(II) and Zn(II), respectively, while for buffered solutions it occurred at pH 6.00. The total metal uptake decreased on application of ammonium acetate buffer, from 37.35 to 17.00 mg g?1 and 28.80 to 9.90 mg g?1 for Cu(II) and Zn(II) solutions, respectively, with 100 mg L?1 initial concentration. The pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, intraparticle diffusion, and Elovich models were used to describe the adsorption kinetics. The experimental data followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The biosorption equilibrium was well described by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models.  相似文献

The retention behavior of a heterogeneous group of solutes has been examined on seven different stationary phases under isothermal and temperature-programmed conditions. Both ΔHv (enthalpy of solute vaporization from the stationary phase) and ΔSv (entropy of solute vaporization from the stationary phase) values were determined for each solute – stationary phase combination under isothermal conditions. Both program rate and carrier gas velocity were shown to affect solute elution order. Unless these and other experimental factors discussed are controlled, column equivalency studies based on solute elution order have dubious value.  相似文献

The various dissociation thresholds of phenol(+)···Ar(3) complexes for the consecutive loss of all three Ar ligands were measured in a molecular beam using resonant photoionization efficiency and mass analyzed threshold ionization spectroscopy via excitation of the first excited singlet state (S(1)). The adiabatic ionization energy is derived as 68077 ± 15 cm(-1). The analysis of the dissociation thresholds demonstrate that all three Ar ligands in the neutral phenol···Ar(3) tetramer are attached to the aromatic ring via π-bonding, denoted phenol···Ar(3)(3π). The value of the dissociation threshold for the loss of one Ar ligand from phenol(+)···Ar(3)(3π), ~190 cm(-1), is significantly lower than the binding energy measured for the π-bonded Ar ligand in the phenol(+)···Ar(π) dimer, D(0) = 535 ± 3 cm(-1). This difference is rationalized by an ionization-induced π → H isomerization process occurring prior to dissociation, that is, one Ar atom in phenol(+)···Ar(3)(3π) moves to the OH binding site, leading to a structure with one H-bonded and 2 π-bonded ligands, denoted phenol(+)···Ar(3)(H/2π). The dissociation thresholds for the loss of two and three Ar atoms are also reported as 860 and 1730 cm(-1). From these values, the binding energy of the H-bound Ar atom can be estimated as 870 cm(-1).  相似文献

The aim of this work was to obtain an adsorptive stripping voltammetric method for the Ce(III) determination at a carbon paste electrode, chemically modified with N'‐[(2‐hydroxyphenyl)methylidene]‐2‐furohydrazide (NHMF). The electroanalytical procedure comprised two steps: the Ce(III) chemical accumulation at ?200 mV followed by the electrochemical detection of the Ce(III)/NHMF complex, using anodic stripping voltammetry. The factors, influencing the adsorptive stripping performance, were optimized including the modifier quantity in the paste, the electrolyte concentrations, the solution pH and the accumulation potential or time. The resulting electrode demonstrated a linear response over a wide range of Ce(III) concentration (5.0–90 nmol dm?3). The detection limit was found to be 0.8 nmol dm?3 on the basis of a signal to noise ratio of 3. The precision for six determinations of 10 and 55 nmol dm?3 Ce(III) was 5.6% and 2.1% (relative standard deviation), respectively. Application of the procedure to the determination of cerium in phosphate rock and wastewater samples gave good results.  相似文献

In this paper dry reforming of methane (DRM) was carried out over nanocrystalline MgAl2O4-supported Ni catalysts with various Ni loadings. Nanocrystalline MgAl2O4 spinel with high specific surface area was synthesized by a co-precipitation method with the addition of pluronic P123 triblock copolymer as surfactant, and employed as catalyst support. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption, H2 chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO), temperature- programmed desorption (TPD) and transmission and scanning electron microscopies (TEM, SEM) techniques. The obtained results showed that the catalyst support has a nanocrystalline structure (crystal size: about 5 nm) with a high specific surface area (175 m2 g-1) and a mesoporous structure. Increasing in nickel content decreased the specific surface area and nickel dispersion. The prepared catalysts showed high catalytic activity and stability during the reaction. SEM analysis revealed that whisker type carbon deposited over the spent catalysts and increasing in nickel loading increased the amount of deposited carbon. The nickel catalyst with 7 wt% of nickel showed the highest catalytic activity.  相似文献

A novel selective membrane electrode for determination of ultra-trace amount of lead was prepared. The PVC membrane containing N,N′-dimethylcyanodiaza-18-cown-6 (DMCDA18C6) directly coated on a graphite electrode, exhibits a Nernstian response for Pb2+ ions over a very wide concentration range (from 1.0×10−2 to 1.0×10−7 M) with a limit of detection of 7.0×10−8 M (∼14.5 ppb). It has a fast response time of ∼10 s and can be used for at least 2 months without any major deviation in potential. The electrode revealed very good selectivity with respect to all common alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions. The proposed sensor was used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of lead ions and in determination of lead in edible oil, human hair and water samples. The proposed sensor was found to be superior to the best Pb2+-selective electrodes reported in terms of detection limit and selectivity coefficient.  相似文献

Nanostructured γ-Al2O3 with high surface area and mesoporous structure was synthesized by sol-gel method and employed as catalyst support for nickel catalysts in methane reforming with carbon dioxide. The prepared samples were characterized by XRD, N2adsorption-desorption,TPR, TPO, TPH, NH3-TPD and SEM techniques. The BET analysis showed a high surface area of 204 m2 g-1and a narrow pore-size distribution centered at a diameter of 5.5 nm for catalyst support. The BET results revealed that addition of lanthanum oxide to aluminum oxide decreased the specific surface area. In addition, TPR results showed that addition of lanthanum oxide increased the reducibility of nickel catalyst. The catalytic evaluation results showed an increase in methane conversion with increasing lanthanum oxide to 3 mol% and further increase in lanthanum content decreased the catalytic activity. TPO analysis revealed that the coke deposition decreased with increasing lanthanum oxide to 3 mol%. SEM and TPH analyses confirmed the formation of whisker type carbon over the spent catalysts. Addition of steam and O2 to dry reforming feed increased the methane conversion and led to carbon free operation in combined processes.  相似文献
