Lichens are symbiotic associations formed mainly by ascomycete fungi and green algae or cyanobacteria. The presence of chitin in the fungal cell wall has been revealed by previous studies. Considering the presence of fungi in the lichens, this work determines the presence of chitin in a cosmopolitan lichen species Xanthoria parietina. In this study, chitin was derived from a lichen species for the first time and its physicochemical properties were determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and elemental analysis. The dry weight chitin content of X. parietina was 4.23%, and this chitin was in the α-form. The crystalline index value of the lichen chitin was calculated as 70.1%. The chitin from X. parietina had a smooth surface. 相似文献

Synthetic access to low-coordinate Pb mono- and dications is in general impeded due to their poor solubility and highly electrophilic nature. However, the electrophilicity of these cations can be tamed by attaching them to electron-rich transition metals. Following this principle we have isolated low-valent Pb mono- ([(Cy3P)2Pt–PbCl]2[AlCl4]2, 8a) and dications ([(Cy3P)2Pt(Pb)][AlCl4]2, 11) in the coordination sphere of platinum. The same approach then has been implemented for the isolation of analogous low-valent Sn mono- (7a) and dications (10). An energy decomposition analysis (EDA-NOCV) was performed to investigate the nature of Pt–Pb and Pb–Cl bonding in [(Cy3P)2Pt(PbCl2)] (2), 8a and 11. The results show that the Pt–Pb bonds in 8a and 11 are electron-sharing in nature, whereas that of the precursor 2 is a dative bond. The breakdown of attractive interactions in 2, 8a and 11 reveals that the ionic interactions in the analyzed Pt–Pb and Pb–Cl bonds are always stronger than the covalent interactions, except for the Pb–Cl bond in 8a. The calculated D3 dispersion energies show that dispersion interactions play a key role in the thermodynamic stability of 2, 8a and 11. 相似文献

Four compounds are reported, all of which lie along a versatile reaction pathway which leads from simple carbonyl compounds to terphenyls. (2E)‐1‐(2,4‐Dichlorophenyl)‐3‐ [4‐(prop‐1‐en‐2‐yl)phenyl]prop‐2‐en‐1‐one, C18H14Cl2O, (I), prepared from 4‐(prop‐1‐en‐2‐yl)benzaldehyde and 2,4‐dichloroacetophenone, exhibits disorder over two sets of atomic sites having occupancies of 0.664 (6) and 0.336 (6). The related chalcone (2E)‐3‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐1‐(4‐fluorophenyl)prop‐2‐en‐1‐one reacts with acetone to produce (5RS)‐3‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐5‐[4‐(propan‐2‐yl)phenyl]cyclohex‐2‐en‐1‐one, C21H21ClO, (II), which exhibits enantiomeric disorder with occupancies at the reference site of 0.662 (4) and 0.338 (4) for the (5R) and (5S) forms; the same chalcone reacts with methyl 3‐oxobutanoate to give methyl (1RS,6SR)‐4‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐6‐[4‐(propan‐2‐yl)phenyl]‐2‐oxocyclohex‐3‐ene‐1‐carboxylate, C23H23ClO3, (III), where the reference site contains both (1R,6S) and (1S,6R) forms with occupancies of 0.923 (3) and 0.077 (3), respectively. Oxidation, using 2,3‐dichloro‐5,6‐dicyano‐1,4‐benzoquinone, of ethyl (1RS,6SR)‐6‐(4‐bromophenyl)‐4‐(4‐fluorophenyl)‐2‐oxocyclohex‐3‐ene‐1‐carboxylate, prepared in a similar manner to (II) and (III), produces ethyl 4′′‐bromo‐4‐fluoro‐5′‐hydroxy‐1,1′:3′,1′′‐terphenyl‐4′‐carboxylate, C21H16BrFO3, (IV), which crystallizes with Z′ = 2 in the space group P. There are no significant intermolecular interactions in the structures of compounds (I) and (II), but for the major disorder component of compound (III), the molecules are linked into sheets by a combination of C—H...O and C—H...π(arene) hydrogen bonds. The two independent molecules of compound (IV) form two different centrosymmetric dimers, one built from inversion‐related pairs of C—H...O hydrogen bonds and the other from inversion‐related pairs of C—H...π(arene) hydrogen bonds. Nitroxide free radicals have been used to study the inner space of one of Rebek’s water‐soluble capsules. EPR and 1H NMR spectroscopy, ESI‐MS, and DFT calculations showed a preference for the formation of 1:2 complexes. EPR titrations allowed us to determine binding constants (Ka) in the order of 107 M ?2. EPR spectral‐shape analysis provided information on the guest rotational dynamics within the capsule. The interplay between optimum hydrogen bonding upon capsule formation and steric strain for guest accommodation highlights some degree of flexibility for guest inclusion, particularly at the center of the capsule where the hydrogen bond seam can be barely distorted or slightly disturbed. 相似文献

A novel route for the synthesis of poly(ethylene glycol)‐b‐polystyrene copolymer, starting from commercially available poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether and azido terminated polystyrene prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization and subsequent nucleophilic substitution, is applied with simplicity and high efficiency. The combination of photoinduced copper (I)‐catalyzed alkyne‐azide cycloaddition (CuAAC) and ketene chemistry reactions proceeds either simultaneously or sequentially in a one‐pot procedure under near‐visible light irradiation. In both cases, excellent block copolymer formations are achieved, with an average molecular weight of around 7000 g mo1−1 and a polydispersity index of 1.20.

Three novel fully substituted urea derivative cyclotriphosphazene compounds 5–7 were synthesized by alkyne-azide 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of propargyl substituted ureas 2–4 with hexaazide substituted cyclotriphosphazene 1 in the presence of Cu(I) catalyst. All compounds were characterized with spectroscopic techniques such as FT-IR, 1H, 13C, and 31P nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectroscopy. Also, the usefulness of compounds 5–7 as anion carriers was investigated by 1H NMR spectroscopy. For this purpose, 1H NMR spectra of compounds 5–7 were recorded in the presence of tetrabutylammonium fluoride in DMSO-d6. The use of highly purified immunoglobulin became among the most powerful adopted strategies in therapeutic trials nowadays. Their role as immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory agents has widened their scope of use. A novel continuous supermacroporous monolithic cryogels embedded with histidine-epoxy-activated-sepharose beads were synthetized as a new monolithic adsorbents for the separation of immunoglobulin G from human serum. The histidine-epoxy-activated-sepharose beads were embedded into the 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) cryogels present in frozen aqueous solution inside a plastic syringe. The microstructure morphology of the cryogels was characterized by swelling measurement and scanning electron microscopy. The adsorption of human IgG on the histidine-epoxy-activated-sepharose beads pHEMA cryogels appeared to follow the Langmuir–Freundlich adsorption isotherm model. The maximum IgG adsorption was observed at 4°C and pH 7.4 and was found to be 26.95 mg/g of cryogel which is close to that obtained experimentally (24.49 mg/g). The cryogels were used for several adsorption-desorption cycles without any negligible decrease in their adsorption capacity. 相似文献

The aim of the present paper is to define and study semi-slant \(\xi ^\perp \)-Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of anti-invariant \(\xi ^\perp \)-Riemannian submersions, semi-invariant \(\xi ^\perp \)-Riemannian submersions and slant Riemannian submersions. We obtain characterizations, investigate the geometry of foliations which arise from the definition of this new submersion. After we investigate the geometry of foliations, we obtain necessary and sufficient condition for base manifold to be a locally product manifold and proving new conditions to be totally umbilical and totally geodesicness, respectively.
