The properties of dried (but not calcined) coprecipitated nickel ceria systems have been investigated in terms of their hydrogen emission characteristics following activation in hydrogen. XRD and BET data obtained on the powders show similarities to calcined ceria but it is likely that the majority of the material produced by the coprecipitation process is largely of an amorphous nature. XPS data indicate very little nickel is present on the outermost surface of the particles. Nevertheless, the thermal analytical techniques (TGA, DSC and TPD-MS) indicate that the hydrogen has access to the catalyst present and the nickel is able to generate hydrogen species capable of interacting with the support. Both unactivated and activated materials show two hydrogen emission features, viz. low temperature and high temperature emissions (LTE and HTE, respectively) over the temperature range 50 and 500 degrees C. A clear effect of hydrogen interaction with the material is that the activated sample not only emits much more hydrogen than the corresponding unactivated one but also at lower temperatures. H(2) dissociation occurs on the reduced catalyst surface and the spillover mechanism transfers this active hydrogen into the ceria, possibly via the formation and migration of OH(-) species. The amount of hydrogen obtained (~0.24 wt%) is approximately 10x higher than those observed for calcined materials and would suggest that the amorphous phase plays a critical role in this process. The affiliated emissions of CO and CO(2) with that of the HTE hydrogen (and consumption of water) strongly suggests a proportion of the hydrogen emission at this point arises from the water gas shift type reaction. Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of 2-bromopyridine 1b with 2-formylphenylboronic acid 2 under standard conditions, gives 2-[4-(2-pyridin-2-yl-benzyl)-pyridin-2-yl]benzoic acid 5b. 文献中已有越来越多的芳香性体系被发现,同时也有越来越多的芳香性指标被提出来,但是如何解释芳香化合物稳定性的起源以及理解芳香性的本质仍然是当今理论化学中一个悬而未决的难题。运用我们新近提出的密度泛函活性理论信息论方法,不久前我们曾对一系列富烯衍生物进行了系统研究并得到了一个全新的认识。本文进一步探讨苯并富烯衍生物的芳香性行为,目的在于考察一个或多个苯环与富烯连接之后其芳香性发生变化的情况。运用香农熵,费舍尔信息,Ghosh-Berkowitz-Parr熵,Onicescu信息能,信息增益,以及相对Rényi熵六个信息量,和四种芳香指标,ASE,HOMA,FLU和NICS,我们系统地研究了信息量和芳香性指标在单、双、三苯并富烯衍生物中的相关性。我们发现,不管是否有苯环与富烯相连,芳香指标和信息量的交叉相关性都是一样的。这表明,虽然苯环本身具有芳香性,但苯环与富烯相连并不能改变富烯的芳香性与反芳香性本质。苯并富烯衍生物与富烯衍生物的芳香性和反芳香性一致。苯并富烯衍生物的芳香性和反芳香性完全取决于富烯本身的芳香性和反芳香性。这些结果为认识和理解复杂体系芳香性和反芳香性起源和本质将提供有益的启示。 相似文献

We prepared samples of cubic γ-MoNx (x∼0.5) by high-pressure-high-temperature synthesis. N atom site occupancies within the defect rock salt structure were determined from time-of-flight neutron diffraction and powder X-ray diffraction data by Rietveld analysis. The results show that N atoms occupy only octahedral sites within the structure. The semi-metallic compound is a superconductor, with determined by SQUID magnetometry. The compressibility of the material was determined by synchrotron X-ray diffraction measurements at high pressure in the diamond anvil cell. When amorphous materials are compressed their structures are expected to change in response to densification. In some cases, the changes in amorphous structure can be discontinuous and they can even have the character of first-order phase transitions. This is a phenomenon referred to as polyamorphism. Most evidence for polyamorphic transitions between low and high density liquids or analogous transformations between amorphous forms of the same substance to date has been indirect and based on the changes in thermodynamic and other structure-related properties with pressure. Recent studies using advanced X-ray and neutron scattering methods combined with molecular dynamics simulations are now revealing the details of structural changes in polyamorphic systems as a function of pressure. Various "two state" or "two species" models are used to understand the anomalous densification behaviour of liquids with melting curve maxima or regions of negative melting slope. Thermodynamic analysis of the two state model leads to the possibility of low- to high-density liquid transitions caused by differences in bulk thermodynamic properties between different amorphous forms and on the degree of cooperativity between low- and high-density structural configurations. The potential occurrence of first-order transitions between supercooled liquids is identified as a critical-like phenomenon. In this tutorial review we discuss the background to polyamorphism, incorporating the experimental observations, simulation studies and the two-state models. Oxygen maps derived from electron paramagnetic resonance spectral-spatial imaging (EPRI) are based upon the relaxivity of molecular oxygen with paramagnetic spin probes. This technique can be combined with MRI to facilitate mapping of pO(2) values in specific anatomic locations with high precision. The co-registration procedure, which matches the physical and digital dimensions of EPR and MR images, may present the pO(2) map at the higher MRI resolution, exaggerating the spatial resolution of oxygen, making it difficult to precisely distinguish hypoxic regions from normoxic regions. The latter distinction is critical in monitoring the treatment of cancer by radiation and chemotherapy, since it is well-established that hypoxic regions are three or four times more resistant to treatment compared to normoxic regions. The aim of this article is to describe pO(2) maps based on the intrinsic resolution of EPRI. A spectral parameter that affects the intrinsic spatial resolution of EPRI is the full width at half maximum (FWHM) height of the gradient-free EPR absorption line in frequency-encoded imaging. In single point imaging too, the transverse relaxation times (T(2)(?)) limit the resolution since the signal decays by exp(-t(p)/T(2)(?)) where the delay time after excitation pulse, t(p), is related to the resolution. Although the spin densities of two point objects may be resolved at this separation, it is inadequate to evaluate quantitative changes of pO(2) levels since the linewidths are proportionately affected by pO(2). A spatial separation of at least twice this resolution is necessary to correctly identify a change in pO(2) level. In addition, the pO(2) values are blurred by uncertainties arising from spectral dimensions. Blurring due to noise and low resolution modulates the pO(2) levels at the boundaries of hypoxic and normoxic regions resulting in higher apparent pO(2) levels in hypoxic regions. Therefore, specification of intrinsic resolution and pO(2) uncertainties are necessary to interpret digitally processed pO(2) illustrations. 相似文献
