N‐Heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes of Cd and Hg triflates (OTf) were prepared and their attempted conversion into rare cadmium and mercury hydrides was explored. In contrast to zinc, which forms stable [ZnH]+ complexes with NHCs, the heavier Cd and Hg congeners could not be formed; the increased instability of Cd‐H and Hg‐H units was rationalized with the aid of computations. It was also discovered that the dimeric adduct [IPr?Cd(μ‐OTf)2]2 (IPr=[(HCNDipp)2C:]; Dipp=2,6‐iPr2C6H3) is an active precatalyst for the hydrosilylation and hydroborylation of hindered aldehydes and ketones. The related zinc congener was inactive as a catalyst highlighting a distinct advantage of using heavy Group 12 metals to promote catalytic hydrosilylation/borylation.  相似文献

Solution calorimetry was used to determine enthalpies and stability constants for binding of lead(II) or cadmium(II) by galacturonic acid and several monosaccharides in aqueous solution. New values for enthalpies of solution in water are reported for galacturonic acid and maltose monohydrate. The interaction of water solvent with the reactants is the largest factor in the binding process.  相似文献

The neural processes underlying concurrent sound segregation were examined by using event-related brain potentials. Participants were presented with complex sounds comprised of multiple harmonics, one of which could be mistuned so that it was no longer an integer multiple of the fundamental. In separate blocks of trials, short-, middle-, and long-duration sounds were presented and participants indicated whether they heard one sound (i.e., buzz) or two sounds (i.e., buzz plus another sound with a pure-tone quality). The auditory stimuli were also presented while participants watched a silent movie in order to evaluate the extent to which the mistuned harmonic could be automatically detected. The perception of the mistuned harmonic as a separate sound was associated with a biphasic negative-positive potential that peaked at about 150 and 350 ms after sound onset, respectively. Long duration sounds also elicited a sustained potential that was greater in amplitude when the mistuned harmonic was perceptually segregated from the complex sound. The early negative wave, referred to as the object-related negativity (ORN), was present during both active and passive listening, whereas the positive wave and the mistuning-related changes in sustained potentials were present only when participants attended to the stimuli. These results are consistent with a two-stage model of auditory scene analysis in which the acoustic wave is automatically decomposed into perceptual groups that can be identified by higher executive functions. The ORN and the positive waves were little affected by sound duration, indicating that concurrent sound segregation depends on transient neural responses elicited by the discrepancy between the mistuned harmonic and the harmonic frequency expected based on the fundamental frequency of the incoming stimulus.  相似文献

The potential energy surface and dipole moment surfaces of the ã4A2 electronic state of CH2+ are calculated ab initio using an augmented correlation-consistent polarized valence quadruple-ζ (aug-cc-pVQZ) basis set, with the incorporation of dynamical correlation using the coupled cluster method with single and double excitations and perturbatively connected triple excitations [CCSD(T)]. We use these surfaces in the MORBID program system to calculate rotation and rotation-vibration term values for ã-state CH2+, CD+2, and CHD+ and to simulate the rotation and rotation-vibration absorption spectrum of CH2+ in the ã4A2 electronic state. Our work is motivated by studies of CH2+ that use the Coulomb explosion imaging technique and by the goal of predicting spectra that may be obtained from discharge sources. Although the ã state is the lowest-lying excited state above the X?/Ã ground state pair, it turns out to be relatively high-lying, and we determine that Te(ã)=30447.5 cm−1. The equilibrium bond angle for ã-state CH2+ is only 77.1°; as a result the asymmetric top κ value is close to 0, and the molecule is equally far from the oblate and prolate symmetric top limits in this electronic state.  相似文献

We show that a gauge singlet scalar S, with a coupling to the Higgs doublet of the form lambda(S)S+SH+H and with the S mass entirely generated by the Higgs expectation value, has a thermally generated relic density Omega(S)approximately equal to 0.3 if m(S)approximately equal to (2.9-10.5) (Omega(S)/0.3)(1/5)(h/0.7)(2/5) MeV. Remarkably, this is very similar to the range [m(S) = (6.6-15.4)eta(2/3) MeV] required in order for the self-interaction (eta/4) (S+S)(2) to account for self-interacting dark matter when eta is not much smaller than 1. The corresponding coupling is lambda(S)approximate(2.7 x 10(-10)-3.6 x 10(-9)) (Omega(S)/0.3)(2/5)(h/0.7)(4/5), implying that such scalars are very weakly coupled to the standard model sector.  相似文献

The design and application of a fluorescent fiber-optic immunosensor (FFOI) are reported. The FFOI is utilized for the detection of antibody/antigen binding within the near-infrared (NIR) spectral region. The technique is developed through the combined use of fiber-optic, semiconductor laser-excitation, fluorescence detection, NIR dye, and immunochemical techniques. The antibody is immobilized on the FFOI and utilized as a recognition component for trace amounts of specific antigen. The FFOI is constructed to utilize an antibody sandwich technique. The assay involves the immobilization of the capture antibody on the sensing tip of the FFOI followed by the exposure of the immobilized sensing tip to the antigen. The antigen-coated FFOI is then introduced to a second antibody previously labeled with the NIR dye. Typical measurements are performed in about 15 min. A semiconductor laser provides the excitation (780 nm) of the immune complex. The resulting emission is detected by a silicon photodiode detector (820 nm). The intensity of the resulting fluorescence is directly proportional to the concentration of the antigen. The sensitivity of the analysis reaches 10 ng/ml and the response time is 10–15 min.  相似文献
