Greater attention towards genetics as a contributor to group health differences may lead to inappropriate use of race/ethnicity and gender as genetic heuristics and exacerbate health disparities. As part of a web-based survey, 1,035 family physicians (FPs) rated the contribution of genetics and environment to racial/ethnic and gender differences in health outcomes, and the importance of race/ethnicity and gender in their clinical decision-making. FPs attributed racial/ethnic and gender differences in health outcomes equally to environment and genetics. These beliefs were not associated with rated importance of race/ethnicity or gender in clinical decision-making. The KTeV E799 experiment has conducted a search for the rare decays, K(L)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-) and K(L)→π(0)π(0)X(0)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-), where the X(0) is a possible new neutral boson that was reported by the HyperCP experiment with a mass of (214.3 ± 0.5) MeV/c(2). We find no evidence for either decay. We obtain upper limits of Br(K(L)→π(0)π(0)X(0)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-)) < 1.0 × 10(-10) and Br(K(L)→π(0)π(0)μ(+)μ(-)) < 9.2 × 10(-11) at the 90% confidence level. This result rules out the pseudoscalar X(0) as an explanation of the HyperCP result under the scenario that the dsX(0) coupling is completely real. 相似文献

A Monte Carlo study has been performed for protonated and non‐protonated coarse‐grained PAMAM‐EDA of generations (G) ranging from 2 to 6. This study calculates sizes, asphericities, and global and external dendrimer density profiles that confirm features previously found in other studies. It is shown that form factors do not change significantly with protonation. Diffusion coefficients, intrinsic viscosities, and Rouse relaxation times are computed as conformational averages. The hydrodynamic properties and their change with protonation are in good agreement with available experimental data. Some differences between the neutral and protonated molecules are noticeable in the case of the relaxation times corresponding to the higher generation numbers (G > 4). These features indicate that pH may play a role in the internal dynamics of dendrimers. The complex modulus curves have also been computed. When in reduced units to discount size effects, the protonation effect is seen to be very small.
