The halide anion effect on the adsorption of 1,2,3-triazole on Ag and Au colloidal nanoparticles has been investigated by means of surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. To interpret the SERS spectra, the vibrational spectra of 1,2,3-triazole were assigned with the help of density functional theoretical (DFT) calculations of the two tautomers of 1,2,3-triazole, both free and bound to Ag and Au adatoms. Upon addition of halide anions, both tautomers interact with the Ag surface through one nitrogen atom. Analogous behavior is observed in the case of basified Au colloids, whereas at the usual pH of these hydrosols (approximately 6) the adsorption of 1,2,3-triazole is the same of that observed in halide-free colloids.  相似文献

The solvent effect on 17O isotropic shielding was computed by different methods: the polarizable continuum model and a mixed approach, including a few real solvent molecules treated as the solute. The experimental data show that the behavior of protic and aprotic solvents is markedly different: we found that the continuum approach describes well the observed shielding at various dielectric constants for aprotic solvents, while the mixed procedure is needed when hydrogen bonds to the magnetic centre are present.Contribution to the Jacopo Tomasi Honorary Issue  相似文献

The ring opening of the oxadiaziridine by cleavage of the N-N bond has been theoretically investigated by SCF calculations improved with limited CI. The possible competition of this reaction with the better known ones (N-O bond cleavage, inversion of the N atom) is discussed. A study has been made of the cationic electropolymerization of trans-anethole initiated by a direct electron transfer mechanism at a Pt anode in 1,2-dichloroethane solution with tetrabutylammonium perchlorate as supporting electrolyte. The electrochemical behaviour of the system has been preliminarily investigated by voltammetry at rotating and stationary Pt electrode and also by chronoamperometry. The results are consistent with an ECE oxidation process of anethole with formation first of a radical cation and finally of a dication. Polymerization experiments by electrolysis at the oxidation potential of the monomer have been also carried out both under continuous electrolysis and with short initial pulses of current. The results have been analysed and some kinetic parameters of the system have been evaluated.  相似文献

The Rm values and retention times of a series of nitroimidazo[2,1-b]thiazoles were obtained by means of thin-layer and high-performance liquid chromatography, respectively. A pilot-scale sewage treatment system consisting of two upflow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB) reactors followed by five waste stabilization ponds (WSPs) in series was studied under subtropical conditions. The first UASB reactor started up in only 1 mo (stable operation, high chemical oxygen demand [COD] removal efficiency, low volatile fatty acids concentration in the effluent, alkalinity ratio above 0.7, biogas production above 0.1 Nm3/kg of CODremoved). Removal efficiencies up to 90% were obtained in the anaerobic steps at a hydraulic retention time of 6 + 4 h (80% removal in the first step). Fecal coliform removal in the whole system was 99.9999% (99.94% in anaerobic steps and 99.98% in WSPs). COD balances over UASB reactors are provided. A minimum set of data necessary to build COD balances is proposed. Intermittent sludge washout was detected in the reactors with the COD balances. Sludge washout from single-step UASB reactors should be monitored and minimized in order to ensure constant compliance with discharge standards, especially when no posttreatment is provided. The system combined high COD and fecal coliform removal efficiency with an extremely low effluent concentration, complying with discharge standards, and making it an attractive option for sewage treatment in subtropical regions.  相似文献

Novel organic (positively charged fullerene)-inorganic (negatively charged CdTe nanoparticle) nanoensembles were devised through electrostatic interactions and probed as versatile donor-acceptor hybrids. Photoirradiation of their homogeneous solutions, containing the electrostatically packed components, let to very long-lived (1.3 ms) charge separated states.  相似文献

Summary Crystals of the title compounds are both monoclinic, with unit cell dimensions:a = 9.293(5),b = 10.122(5),c = 16.737(7) Å. = 103.44(3)°,Z = 4, space groupP21/c for the cobalt derivative;a = 13.1ß5(7),b = 17.546(ß),c = 6.871(3) Å, = 107.01(4)°Z = 4, space groupP21/n for the copper derivative. The structures were solved from diffractometer data by the heavy-atom technique for the first compound and by direct methods for the second compound. Refinement by block diagonal least-squares gaveR = 5.9% for 3511 independent reflections andR = 8.8% for 2885 independent reflections for the cobalt and copper compound respectively. In both compounds the biguanide moiety behaves as a bidentate chelating ligand in a symmetrical tautomeric form, but it is deprotonated in the octahedral cobalt compound and neutral in the square planar copper compound.  相似文献

Recently, Vakonakis and LiWang (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2004, 126, 5688) reported experimental evidence for stronger hydrogen bonds in RNA A:U than in DNA A:T base pairs, which was based on differences in NMR shielding for adenine C2. We have analyzed the proposed correlation between NMR shielding and hydrogen-bond strength using density functional theory. Although we agree with the conclusion that A:U is more strongly bound, we find no correlation between the hydrogen-bond strength and the NMR shielding of C2. Our study shows that NMR merely probes the presence/absence of the methyl group in thymine/uracil, without any relation to the strength of the hydrogen bonds involved. In other words, one cannot infer the Watson-Crick hydrogen-bond strength from the NMR shielding constant of adenine C2.  相似文献
