A mechanical testing methodology for determination of elastic-plastic properties of very thin metallic wires using small-span bending under lateral load is described. Sufficient strain is locally developed in the tested section of wire by unsymmetrical bending with two opposite probes where one end of the wire is fixed on a substrate with rigid joint by Joule heat welding. From the load-displacement relationships obtained experimentally, Young’s modulus is determined by analytical formulation. Moreover, yield stress and hardening modulus of the wire are identified using an optimization strategy with finite-element analyses. The thin Pt wires with a nominal diameter of about 625 nm are examined by the testing scheme and the wires are found to have higher yield stress compared to bulk Pt.  相似文献

A series of 2-[(2-imidazolylsulfinyl)methyl]anilines (2) having various substituents on their imidazole and aniline rings was synthesized and examined for their H+/K(+)-ATPase (adenosine triphosphatase) inhibitory effects and antisecretory activity against histamine-stimulated gastric acid secretions in Heidenhain pouch dogs. Although substitutions on the imidazole ring did not enhance biological activity, substitutions on the aniline ring by electron-donating substituents potently enhanced the enzyme inhibitory activity and also showed an inhibitory effect on histamine-stimulated gastric acid secretion after oral administration. In particular, the in vitro activity of the dimethyl (2u--w) and trimethyl (2ac) derivatives was about 10 times that of omeprazole. Also, 4-methyl (2k), 4-methoxy-5-methyl (2y) and 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxy (2ab) derivatives showed a potent antisecretory effect of more than 80% after oral administration at 6 mg/kg. Although these aniline derivatives have relatively low stabilities in aqueous solution, replacement of the isobutyl group at the aniline nitrogen atom with N-(2-methoxyethyl) group enhanced the stability.  相似文献

This paper presents a mathematical model for multi-axle vehicles operating on level ground. Considering possible factors related to turning motion such as vehicle configuration and tire slip velocities, equations of motion were constructed to predict steerability and driving efficiency of such vehicles. Turning radius, slip angle at the mass center, and each wheel velocity were obtained by numerically solving the equations with steering angles and average wheel velocity as numerical inputs. To elucidate the turning characteristics of multi-axle vehicles, the effect of fundamental parameters such as vehicle speed, steering angles and type of driving system were examined for a sample of multi-axle vehicles. Additionally, field tests using full-scale vehicles were carried out to evaluate the basic turning characteristics on level ground.  相似文献

Fraction collection of selected components from a complex mixture plays a critical role in biomedical research, environmental analysis, and biotechnology. Here, we introduce a novel electrophoretic chip device based on a signal processing theorem that allows simultaneous space sampling for fractionation of ssDNA target fragments. Ten parallel extraction channels, which covered 1.5-mm-long sampling ranges, were used to facilitate the capturing of fast-moving fragments. Furthermore, the space sampling extraction made it possible to acquire pure collection, even from partly overlapping fragments that had been insufficiently separated after a short electrophoretic run. Fragments of 180, 181, and 182 bases were simultaneously collected, and then the recovered DNA was PCR amplified and assessed by CE analysis. The 181-base target was shown to be isolated in a 70-mm-long separation length within 10 min, in contrast to the >50 min required for the 300-mm-long separation channel in our previous study. This method provides effective combination of time and space, which is a breakthrough in the traditional concept of fraction collection on a chip.  相似文献

Lepidoptera, including about 150,000 species in the world, comprise the second largest insect group, and sex pheromones have been identified from virgin female moths of more than 600 species. The chemical structures are simple, but diverse, because species-specific pheromones play an important role in the reproductive isolation of each species. The pheromone content in each female is quite low, and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is most frequently utilized to reveal the chemical structure. Almost all pheromone components are straight-chain compounds and are classified into two major groups [i.e. unsaturated C10-C18 fatty alcohols and their derivatives (Type I) and C17-C23 polyenyl hydrocarbons and their epoxides (Type II)]. In addition to the unbranched compounds, some species secrete methyl-branched compounds (e.g., 2-ketones). For the identification of these compounds, determining the positions of the double bond, the epoxy ring, and the methyl group is an important key step. Copious spectral information measured by electron-impact ionization (70 eV) has been accumulated for these compounds. This review therefore deals with their spectral characteristics, namely, diagnostic ions, to apply them to pheromone studies on new target insects.  相似文献

A nearly single-phase of a low-temperature (LT) phase of Li(2)FeSiO(4) is prepared by a hydrothermal method at 150 °C. We report the detailed crystal structure of LT-Li(2)FeSiO(4) (S.G. Pmn2(1)) by applying Rietveld/MEM analysis to the synchrotron XRD pattern. LT-Li(2)FeSiO(4) shows 150 mA h g(-1) as the positive electrode materials of rechargeable batteries.  相似文献

High efficiency and high-purity fraction collection is highly sought in analysis of fragments-of-interest from selective polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products generated by High Coverage Gene Expression Profiling (HiCEP) methods. Here we demonstrate a new electrophoretic chip device enabling automatic high-efficient fractionation of multiple ssDNA target fragments during a run of separation. We used thoroughly isolated extraction channels for each selected target to reduce the risk of cross-contamination between targets due to cross-talk of extraction channels. Fragments of 35, 108 and 138 b, were successfully isolated, then the recovery was PCR-amplified and assessed by capillary electrophoresis (CE) analysis. Total impurity level of the targets due to unwanted fragments of 0.7%, 2% and 6% respectively, was estimated. Difficulties in collecting multiple target factions are due to band diffusion and DNA adsorption to the walls for the fragments in the separation channel, which is generated by transferring the DNA target fraction from the extraction section to the target reservoir. Therefore, we have carefully measured band broadening and analyzed its influence on the separation resolution due to the delay.  相似文献
