We report on the reversible electrical control of the magnetic properties of a single Mn atom in an individual quantum dot. Our device permits us to prepare the dot in states with three different electric charges, 0, +1e, and -1e which result in dramatically different spin properties, as revealed by photoluminescence. Whereas in the neutral configuration the quantum dot is paramagnetic, the electron-doped dot spin states are spin rotationally invariant and the hole-doped dot spins states are quantized along the growth direction.  相似文献

A family of threefold symmetry phosphite ligands, P(O–BIN–OR)3 (BIN = 2,2′-binaphthyl; R = Me, Bn, CHPh2, 1-adamantyl), derived from enantiomerically pure (R)-BINOL, was developed. Cone angles within the range 240–270° were calculated for the phosphite ligands, using the computational PM6 Hamiltonian. Their rhodium complexes formed in situ showed remarkable catalytic activity in the hydroformylation of hindered phenylpropenes, under relatively mild reaction conditions, with full chemoselectivity for aldehydes, high regioselectivity, however with low enantioselectivity. The ether substituents at the ligand affected considerably the catalytic activity on the hydroformylation of 1,1- and 1,2-disubstituted aryl olefins. The kinetics of the hydroformylation of trans-1-phenyl-1-propene, using tris[(R)-2′-benzyloxy-1,1′-binaphthyl-2-yl]phosphite as model ligand, was investigated. A first order dependence in the hydroformylation initial rate with respect to substrate and catalyst concentrations was found, as well as a positive order with respect to the partial pressure of H2, and a slightly negative order with respect to phosphite concentration and CO partial pressure.  相似文献

Based on first-principles density functional pseudopotential calculations, the CdTe (001) surface has been studied. Atomic configurations of different reconstructions are obtained with good accuracy. This reveals the efficiency of the force calculation for the surface relaxations. The surface energies were calculated on relaxed surface slabs as a function of the chemical potentials. The main result is that the energy of the Te-terminated dimerized surface with a (2 × 1) reconstruction is larger than the Cd-terminated c(2×2) reconstructed surface. This is in agreement with what was suspected by the equilibrium model introduced by F. Tinjod et al., which explains the formation of the quantum dots in CdTe/ZnTe superstructures.  相似文献

We theoretically studied anisotropic linear optical polarization properties in CdTe/Cd0.75Mn0.25Te quantum wires (QWRs) by using the multi-band effective mass method. In this QWR system, the spatial distribution of the Mn composition influences both the lateral quantum confinement and the sp-d exchange coupling. The calculated expectation value of the hole spin demonstrates that the hole spin is reoriented along the external magnetic field when applying the magnetic field parallel to the QWR. The hole-spin reorientation causes anisotropic behavior in the Zeeman shift and the linearly polarized optical transitions, which sensitively depends on the Mn spatial distribution. Such characteristic features appeared in the QWR have been demonstrated experimentally and compared with the theoretical calculations.  相似文献

In this study, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was applied to study the structural aspects of the tomato fruit. The main study was performed on tomatoes (cv. Tradiro) using a 0.2-T electromagnet scanner. Spin-echo images were acquired to visualize the tomato macrostructure. The air bubble content in tissues was evaluated by exploiting susceptibility effects using multiple gradient echo images. The microstructure was further studied by measuring spin–spin (T2) and spin–lattice (T1) relaxation time distributions. Nuclear magnetic resonance relaxometry, macro vision imaging and chemical analysis were used as complementary and independent experimental methods in order to emphasize the MRI results. MRI images showed that the air bubble content varied between tissues. The presence of gas was attested by macro vision images. Quantitative imaging showed that T2 and T1 maps obtained by MRI reflected the structural differences between tomato tissues and made it possible to distinguish between them. The results indicated that cell size and chemical composition contribute to the relaxation mechanism.  相似文献

We report on the optimization of the growth conditions of wurtzite GaMnN grown by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy in order to obtain intrinsic ferromagnetic behavior. By growing with a Ga/N ratio lower than unity and by introduction of periodic growth interruptions, we succeed in synthesizing single-phase GaMnN epilayers containing up to 6.3 at.% of Mn. The structural quality of the GaMnN epilayer and the absence of secondary phases are demonstrated by means of X-ray diffraction experiments and X-ray linear dichroism measurements performed at the Mn and Ga K-edges. The intrinsic ferromagnetism for 6.3 at.% of Mn in our GaMnN epilayer is demonstrated by means of magnetization measurements in a 5 T Quantum Design superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) and X-ray magnetic circular dichroism investigations performed at the K-edge of Mn. The Curie temperature thus determined is equal to 8 K and a spontaneous magnetic moment of 2.4μB per Mn atom is found at 2 K.  相似文献

Summary SPECINFO, a few factual database available through the online host STN International, provides information on approximately 70,000 13C-NMR, 15,000 infrared and 5,200 hetero NMR (19F, 15N, 17O, 31P) high-quality spectra with corresponding structures for 84,000 compounds. In addition SPECINFO offers a set of calculation packages for spectral estimation and interpretation and full structure elucidation. In this paper the architecture of SPECINFO is briefly discussed and online retrieval capabilities are outlined in some illustrative examples. Furthermore the advantages of an integrated chemical environment, and future development plans are presented.  相似文献

Complete dissection is the current reference method to quantify muscle and fat tissue on pig carcasses. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an appropriate nondestructive alternative method that can provide reliable and quantitative information on pig carcass composition without losing the spatial information. We have developed a method to quantify the amount of fat tissue and muscle in gradient echo MR images. This method is based on the method proposed by Shattuck et al. [12]. It provides segmentation of pure tissue and partial volume voxels, which allows separation of muscle and fat tissue including the fine insertions of intermuscular fat. Partial volume voxel signal is expected to be proportional to the signals of pure tissue constituting them or at least to vary monotonously with the proportion of each tissue. However, it is not always the case with gradient echo sequence due to the chemical shift effect. We studied this effect on a fat tissue/muscle interface model with variable proportion of water in the fat tissue and variable TE. We found that at TE=8 ms, for a 0.2-T MRI system, the requirement of Shattuck's method were filled thanks to the presence of water in fat tissue. Moreover, we extended the segmentation method with a simple correction scheme to compute more accurately the proportions of each tissue in partial volume voxels. We used this method to evaluate the fat tissue and muscle on 24 pig bellies using a gradient echo sequence (TR 700 ms, TE 8 ms, slice thickness 8 mm, number of averages 8, flip angle 90 degrees , FOV 512 mm, matrix 512*512, Rect. FOV 4/8, 19 slices, space between slices 2 mm). The image analysis results were compared with dissection results giving a prediction error of the muscle content (mean=2.7 kg) of 88.9 g and of the fat content (mean=2.7 kg) of 115.8 g without correction of the chemical shift effect in the computation of partial volume fat content. The correction scheme improved these results to, respectively, 81.5 and 107.1 g.  相似文献
