We consider a one-dimensional version of the model introduced in Ref. l. At each site of Z there is a particle with spin ± 1. Particles move according to the Stirring Process and spins change according to the Glauber dynamics. In the hydrodynamical limit, with the stirring process suitably speeded up, the local magnetic densitym t(r) is proven in Ref. 1 to satisfy the reaction-diffusion equation (*) $$\partial _t m_t (r) = \tfrac{1}{2}\partial _r^2 m_t (r) - V'(m_t )$$ \(V(m) = - \tfrac{1}{2}\alpha m^2 + \tfrac{1}{4}\beta m^4 \) ,α andβ being determined by the parameters of the Glauber dynamics. In the present paper we consider an initial state with zero magnetization,m 0(r)=0. We then prove that at long times, before taking the hydrodynamical limit, the evolution departs from that predicted by (*) and that the microscopic state becomes a nontrivial mixture of states with different magnetizations.  相似文献

Mössbauer spectra of jacobsite have been recorded at temperatures of 4.2, 125, 180, 240 and 300 K and with an external magnetic field of 60 kOe applied parallel to the incident radiation at 4.2 K. The results show the presence of two different magnetic hyperfine interactions associated with the iron nuclei. Spectra of samples in external magnetic fields indicate the same sign for the magnetic hyperfine interactions, implying that both iron ions occupy only the octahedral sublattice. These results are compared with data from synthetic stoichiometry manganese ferrite, and a model of cation distribution, assuming the existence of vacancies, is proposed. According to this model, the mineral jacobsite is rich in manganese compared with stoichiometric MnFe2O4 ferrite.  相似文献

Using diffusion Monte Carlo simulations we have investigated the ground state of a symmetric electron-hole bilayer and determined its phase diagram at T = 0. We find clear evidence of an excitonic condensate, whose stability however is affected by an in-layer electronic correlation. This stabilizes the electron-hole plasma at large values of the density or interlayer distance, and the Wigner crystal at low density and large distance. We have also estimated pair correlation functions and low-order density matrices to give a microscopic characterization of correlations as well as to try and estimate the condensate fraction.  相似文献

Models of baryon structure predict a small quadrupole deformation of the nucleon due to residual tensor forces between quarks or distortions from the pion cloud. Sensitivity to quark versus pion degrees of freedom occurs through the Q2 dependence of the magnetic (M1+), electric (E1+), and scalar (S1+) multipoles in the gamma*p-->Delta(+)-->p pi(0) transition. We report new experimental values for the ratios E(1+)/M(1+) and S(1+)/M(1+) over the range Q2 = 0.4-1.8 GeV2, extracted from precision p(e,e(')p)pi(0) data using a truncated multipole expansion. Results are best described by recent unitary models in which the pion cloud plays a dominant role.  相似文献

We report on the development of multilayer optics for the extreme ultra-violet (EUV) range. The optical performance of Al-based multilayer mirrors is discussed with regard to promising reflectivity and selectivity characteristics and the problems of the interfacial roughness for this type of multilayers. We demonstrate a possibility to reduce the average roughness by introducing additional metal layer (W or Mo) rather than depositing a buffer layer at each interface. We have prepared and tested Al/SiC, Al/W/SiC and Al/Mo/SiC multilayers of various periods for the spectral range from 15 to 40 nm, which is the range of increasing interest for high-order harmonic generation, synchrotron radiation and astrophysics. The structure of the three-component systems has been optimized in order to obtain the best reflectivity for each wavelength within the spectral range. We have shown that introduction of refractory metal in Al-based periodic stack can improve the optical performance of multilayer reflecting coatings designed for the EUV applications.  相似文献

New cross sections for the reaction e p-->e p eta are reported for total center of mass energy W = 1.5--1.86 GeV and invariant momentum transfer Q2 = 0.25--1.5 (GeV/c)(2). This large kinematic range allows extraction of important new information about response functions, photocouplings, and eta N coupling strengths of baryon resonances. Newly observed structure at W approximately 1.65 GeV is shown to come from interference between S and P waves and can be interpreted with known resonances. Improved values are derived for the photon coupling amplitude for the S11(1535) resonance.  相似文献

The stabilization of nonlinear excitations by noise is a topic of fundamental importance in many physical problems. We discuss a genuine example within the context of storage ring-free electron laser physics, by presenting a model which allows the characterization of the system evolution and the determination of the conditions leading to the suppression of instabilities of sawtooth type. The conclusions of the model are confirmed by a comparison with experimental results on the Super Aco Storage Ring-Free Electron Laser.  相似文献
